Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Reykjavíkurborg

A lovely overnight stay for somewhere to rest before my flight home. The room was super cosy & Natalia was so welcoming.

The place was amazing and very cosy felt like a second home and the host was very helpful and very responsive

We had absolutely brilliant time , location is very good but the actual view is absolutely breath taking also for watching northern lights ,apartment is beautifully situated and decorated very comfortable,owners are very friendly and helpful very easy communication we couldn’t ask for more so I highly recommend as it is simply outstanding.

The best decision I made when planning this trip was to stay with Ása. She is the kindest and most generous host. I felt like I was visiting an old friend throughout my entire trip. I never felt like a paying guest. She picked me up at the bus station, took time to find out what my goals were while I was there and helped me plan for them, provided food for me (she makes a mean quinoa salad!), and encouraged me to do activities that would make my trip more enriching. Her home is clean and welcoming, and the walk to downtown along the coastline is magnificent. And the dogs! I missed Lotta and Atlas from the moment I left - I loved cuddling with them on the couch at night! I cannot do justice to her as a host with just a few sentences. Any solo female traveller should jump at the chance to stay with Ása! It was by far my best Airbnb experience to date.

We would come back to this apartment in a heartbeat. It was one of the best stays we had at Airbnb where you basically have everything you need and I mean it. They are very well equipped for guests and everything is convenient and new. Very clean and quiet place I can see how they designed it for themselves first. The view is unbelievable and so gorgeous. The host is super helpful and responsive.

I really enjoyed my stay at this place. The room was great, everything was clean and Jóhann is a very friendly host. The apartment is really well equipped and I was allowed to use everything. I felt super safe and at home right away. I would recommend everyone to stay here! :-)

This accommodation was a perfect home away from home! We stayed at this location and used it as a “home base” while we were exploring the country for our wedding and honeymoon! Incredible location and very comfortable.

We were in awe of the place. It was clean, tidy, had such a fantastic and well-thought-out design, amazing views, quiet neighbourhood, and convenient location. Jovan was super friendly and understanding of us. We also appreciate all his houseplants and frankly wish we had such skill. 10/10

Great place. Looks even better in person than the photos. I highly recommend this stay. Not best for WFH but best for a great relaxing and comfortable stay.

Bardur and Osk were fantastic hosts, communicative and flexible from the start, making sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. Everything was as described in a really peaceful location just a few minutes drive from town. Would certainly suggest this place for a quiet get away. Thank you again.

Great position, close to the sea and within short drive of city centre. This is a lived in home and has a few odd features. Some of our party did not like the fact that the bathroom has no curtains or blinds, although there is not much outside. Also one bedroom out of four did not have any curtains and only an airbed. But overall it was a nice house and good value for Iceland.

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! Birgir was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, cozy, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was our Iceland story time with Birgir—his captivating stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the country and its culture. His passion for the environment was truly inspiring, motivating me to become more proactive about global warming and environmental responsibility. Birgir also recommended trying an Icelandic swimming pool, and we absolutely loved it! This was a truly memorable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Very nice hosts. Very helpful. The Airbnb was extremely nice. Clean kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, dining areas and family rooms. Appliances worked well. Eva and Olaf had snacks waiting upon our arrival. This Airbnb was well located in a suburb of Reykjavik. It is convenient to major roads. I have only one complaint, and that is the water in a few parts of Iceland has a sulfur taste in it.

Asta was so helpful with local recommendations, and her house was clean welcoming. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The sauna and hot tub were great for relaxing. The location was perfectly central for exploring the Reykjavik peninsula.

We had a fabulous, 8-night stay with our two adult children. Inga's place worked perfectly for us, and it was both convenient to Reykjavik and as a starting point for day trips. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking, and the well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare many of our meals there. Inga was so good to work with. She was always very responsive and answered what questions we had promptly. She was also very accommodating to our travel schedule and even provided breakfast items for us on our arrival. I don't know when we might make it back to Iceland, but I would not hesitate to rent this property or work with Inga again.

The best vacation we have ever had. The house was just perfect for our family. Loved it!
