House vacation rentals in Rensselaer County

Each member of my family had an extraordinary experience in this home. We rented this house over the Thanksgiving holiday so my out of town family would not be cramped in my apartment. My grandmother loved the fully stocked kitchen and often snack on the complimentary candy. My uncle loved the theater room and was well entertained scrolling through the vast selection of movies available. And my cousins loved the Xbox and arcade game console with a plethora of retro arcade games to pick. Will absolutely love to come back during the summer when the pool is open. This home was extremely well stocked and supplied very well. And the hosts were very accommodating.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s place. It was very conveniently located to the base of Jiminy Peak, which made getting to and from the mountain very easy. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed. We used the fireplace twice and it was super easy. Having access to the facilities at The Country Inn at Jiminy Peak was great as I am injured and can’t ski currently, so instead I went to the gym each day. My family didn’t want to leave and my kids are asking when we can go back!

This wasn’t my first time staying @ Joe’s. It provided a clean space for us to hangout and relax between our matches. The house is a must rent!

The house was very spacious, the kids ranging from 6-10 loved the games, especially cue ball and fuzz ball. The adults loved the fact there was a lower half where the kids can watch movies and play, while the adults did grown up chatting in the living space. A memorable ski weekend that everyone enjoyed to the fulliest and sad it went so fast. We look forward returning one day in the spring or summer to see a different aspect of the area. Thank you!

Had a really lovely family get-together at Kayce's , which we dubbed "The House of Fun". It was the perfect place for our family get together, with lots to do (even on a rainy/sleeting day) with pool, ping pong, karaoke downstairs and a quieter living room upstairs. Especially appreciated a dining room table able to easily seat 12 and the spacious kitchen where we could hang out and cook. Kayce was very responsive and friendly. All agreed we should do this yearly if not more!

This is the second year we have stayed at Morgan’s home, and it is spacious, welcoming, clean, and very well equipped! This year we had much better conditions than last year (snow!) and walked down the road and skied right on to the mountain. It’s a few minutes, but is not any worse than trying to find a parking space when there are none and walking up all of those steps! It was awesome! Morgan is attentive and communicative and our large family absolutely love staying and can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Kim’s cozy cabin at Jiminy Peak for two nights. There was plenty of space for everyone and the place was immaculate. The place is so clean from the floor to every corner and ceiling, it makes you feel so comfortable and safe, knowing she took care of every detail. The place has a ton of electrical outlets which is a very nice plus this day and age with kids. The location is great as well. A short walk to John Harvards so the mountain is easily accessible. Big tip, since you’re staying at the cabin, rent your equipment and get your passes the night before, it saves so much time. You can be on the mountain without having to walk to the main lodge. We had an amazing time at her cabin and I would highly recommend it. It’s a perfect stay for a weekend ski or longer.

Overall my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this place. Everything was neat and tiny and the place was cozy and very well decorated. The only thing that bothered me was that the dishes in the kitchen were not clean upon arrival and I needed to deep clean everything we ate off of before we used them, the dock was also half sunk into the water which was disappointing and as far as wanting to sit out there. Nevertheless this place was perfect for the money we paid and I would absolutely rent here again.

Nana's place on the lake was just what we were looking for: A quiet, warm, cozy and homey spot with a deck and a view. The Hot Tub added to the enjoyment of the stay and was well cared for and clean. Chris was very accommodating and was quick to remove/manage the snow during our stay. Enjoyed watching the ice fishers work their craft and people walking the ice of the lake. We saw just one snowmobiler running around on the lake and that was just for a short time. Everyone on this lake seems very respectful and in tune with the mellow vibe. I hope we get the chance to return when the weather is warmer to play in the water.

Maggie’s cabin in Williamstown was the perfect spot for our family and dogs. The location was great as it was easy to get to Williams College. We visited our granddaughter for her senior lacrosse game then had pizza back at the house. It was perfectly comfortable and peaceful. Our dogs loved walks in the big back yard. Our stay was just what we were looking for!

Second time staying here. Will stay here again. Very nice place & location to downtown Albany is key.

We LOVED the 50s time capsule home!! It was beautifully furnished, with lots if retro ephemera to look at and enjoy. I really enjoyed using the record player and reading the old magazines. The arcade room was SO fun! Miss Pacman is a classic. We had a great time figuring out the clues for the mystery room. What a hoot it was seeing the inside hahaha. The home was clean and very spacious. Jesse was a very responsive, friendly host, and he set up a lovely little Easter egg hunt for my daughters. The area is very walkable with a Stewart's shop steps from the home, a Family Dollar, Walgreens, a LOVELY chocolate shop with all kinds of treats and decor etc. We can't wait to stay here again. There's so much to see in the house,and the location isn't bad as far as getting to area attractions etc.

My friends and I (three couples) stayed at Gary and Shana’s beautiful Airbnb for Valentine’s Day weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The house was stunning—cozy, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed for our ski getaway. Gary and Shana were incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. On the morning of our departure, they even arranged for the driveway to be plowed, making it easy for us to get out after some fresh snowfall. It’s clear they truly care about their guests. We had an amazing weekend and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Comfortable house in scenic woods with plenty of family friendly games to play and VERY close to Jiminy Peak

The home was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our group. The area was quiet but close to plenty of things to do and places to eat. Raya was a fantastic host throughout our stay. She was friendly and considerate. A member of our group had a medical emergency during our stay, and Raya was easy to reach and very accommodating. Her kindness gave us great peace of mind during that stressful event. I highly recommend both the host and the home!

We were so grateful to Teresa’s place! It was clean, cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family. The amenities were great. The view was spectacular. Teresa was wonderfully responsive and helpful! We absolutely enjoyed our stay!

This home was the perfect place for our family/friends gathering. Location was fantastic - just a short 1-2 min walk to the ski-in spot, making it incredibly convenient for hitting the slopes with little ones. The host was exceptionally informative and friendly, ensuring we had everything for a comfy stay. Kids had fun sledding between the houses and grownups loved the hot tub.

Tom is a wonderful host and the home was great! A peaceful setting on the Hudson River and had everything we needed! Main bedroom bed was adjustable and super comfortable. We also loved the foosball and Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga machine. We enjoyed our stay there very much!

I really enjoyed my stay, it was extremely quiet at night and a big plus was the back yard for my dogs. There is also a big park right beside the house as well if you would like to take your dogs there as well.

Very charming and comfortable residence, perfect for our family rendezvous weekend of movies, games, cooking and just hanging out. The kitchen is outstanding and well laid out, with high quality appliances and everything we needed to prepare and serve meals and snacks. Living, dining and bed room furnishing are comfortable, and the 57-inch HDTV was great for movies and video games. The weather for our early April visit was cold and wet, so we were not able to take advantage of the large deck, gas grill, fire pit and other outdoor features. But inside the home it was warm, bright and cozy. We hope to visit again in warmer weather to experience both sunshine and shade in this wooded neighborhood. Amanda was great, proactively providing all the information we needed and more, and the place was perfect for us, so there was no need for further interaction once we settled in.
