John responded right away about my late check in and was very nice. The house was very clean and smelled good. He had it all warm any cozy for my late snowy arrival.

It's better than the pictures! We immediately felt right at home. Melinda had everything we needed and then some. The furniture was exceedingly comfortable; we wanted to take the couches home! The kitchen was stocked with anything we could need, and the gas stove was a joy to cook on. The views were fantastic, and we loved the peace and quiet. Our dogs also enjoyed their stay with a wonderful fenced backyard to roam. If you are looking for a low-key getaway that feels like your second home the moment you walk in the door, look no further!

The pictures do not do this place justice, the view from here are absolutely breathtaking. Wild life such as Elk and deer were everywhere, and you can see snow capped mountains right as you pull out to the main road. It is a little ways from the gas station, so make sure you’re not running on fumes before heading in. The potbelly stove is way more than enough to keep the place very warm on a chilly night. The locals are super nice, and even gave us a tour around Stonewall and taught us a bit of history surrounding WWII.

Absolutely perfect! Our host, Amanda, was so helpful, from weather conditions and snow impact to the area, to what pots are available to cook a Thanksgiving turkey in. We love the solitude and privacy, in the most beautiful place on this planet! A peaceful respite to a hectic city life, this house was comfy and cozy with stary skies and a running river close by. The perfect vacation get away...if you really want to get away from it all.

Trinidad has always been a drive through place for me not a stayover, but this house was very well kept and lovely! A little off the beaten path, it was quiet and peaceful. We had one small trouble the last day in finding something, but when I called our host she quickly and clearly directed me to exactly where it was and all went smoothly! Additionally, we were there for a business trip, and the home had a quick back way to the location we needed which was extremely helpful after long days! Also, the office space came in handy. The only concern we had was that we went during an extremely hot week in Colorado, and not all of the rooms were equipped with AC. Sometimes, the fans weren't enough, but otherwise, we had an incredibly lovely stay especially as a bigger group!

We truly loved our stay. The place was just as described and remarkably clean. The host was responsive with any questions we had. The houses were both very cozy and welcoming. We'd like to come back to explore the area more so will be looking to see if this place is available. The road was a little busier than expected but nothing that would keep us from returning.

It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from a very well-equipped kitchen to cozy living spaces, beautiful outdoor deck with furniture and tons of privacy. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and attention to detail. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

My family and work crew spent a month at Matt’s Guesthouse. It was great for both groups. We had a two week family reunion with 8 kids and adults and a dog. The guesthouse is well equipped for preparing family meals with all the cooking equipment we needed for regular meals and holiday celebrations. When our work crew came they had comfort and privacy. The entrance and parking area accessible from the alley were very convenient. The covered parking and 3 additional parking spots was just what we needed. We enjoyed the covered patio area. I was warm and sunny almost every day. The neighborhood was lovely and we enjoyed being in Trinidad and found friendly people and lots of activities.

Joey's place was just as described and a perfect stopping point for our roadtrip. Plenty of room for 2 adults, 1 child & 1 infant. Easy to find, easy check in, good communication.

Clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. Close to parks and Main Street. If I ever need to stay in Trinidad again I’ll be sure to book this spot.

We enjoyed our stay, great setup. The only thing I would like to express is that I received notification (complaint) about my dogs barking, noted there were other dogs around the area and yes my dogs bark however in my opinion it was normal for being outdoors, and it wasn't a constant dark. So if you have dogs that bark and children who are excited about being in nature I would consider asking what time is no noise allowed. FYI Daisy our dog dark a couple of times before 8 pm, other than this it was an amazing location and an attentive hostess.

We arrived a few days after a big snow storm but the road to the condo was cleared and the parking lot was plowed. The stairs to the unit were shoveled but still slick so be careful in winter. The unit is cozy and has wonderful views of the forest and mountains. For a small place, it has everything you need. It feels comfortable and is a perfect home base for skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. The unit is attractive and very comfortable. We enjoyed sipping hot tea and watching locals residents enjoying snowboarding and snowshoeing. The beds and linens are soft and plush. Everything in place is perfect for Colorado winter nights.

First of all, Daniela was an exceptional host! She was extremely kind, gracious, and responsive during our entire stay. Best host we have ever encountered! As for the cabin…simply AMAZING!! It was impeccably clean and well stocked (they thought of everything). If you arrived with only the clothes on your back you would be more than comfortable 🙂 The view is spectacular, one of a kind! There are hiking trails nearby and the walk into the quaint town center was enjoyable. The town center has a park, tennis courts, small basketball court, and playground for guests with children. There are also a few restaurants, to include a dog-friendly one, and a country store. You WILL NOT find a better place to stay in the entire area; WE WILL BE BACK😉 Thank you to our gracious hosts for a truly wonderful stay!!

Very beautiful surroundings! Peaceful and quiet condo with stocked kitchen. Felt at home and warm! Will definitely be staying again in the future

Vivian was a wonderful host! She was friendly and her hospitality was beyond compare. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others looking for a respite away from the hustle of every day life. The woods behind the cabin were fun to explore and extremely peaceful. This was even better than the description on Air Bnb. I am so glad I had a chance to unwind and reset here

This place is super peaceful. Our cabin had a steam shower & sauna, this was so nice to have as this was a work trip. Bed was very comfortable. I Would highly recommend this place for a get out of the city & recharge getaway! Beautiful area. Thanks for hosting us Vivian.
