NOT sure what that means (maybe their beds are on the floor) PLEASE I have a fan to drawn off Noise from upstairs ALL ground level units get noise from upstairs USE THE FAN Gas fireplace is turned off June July and August I do not have AC but the bedroom has a ceiling fan and a box fan. This is a wonderful, simple cabin with a really great outdoor space right on the river. It's an old cabin with old features that give it character, so don't expect new build amenities. It does have all of your basic needs. It was clean when we arrived, and the host contact communicated with us prior to our arrival. Google/Apple maps does not plot it correctly. Follow the directions given at booking. My family of 5 would absolutely book this again for another Cuchara visit.

Beautiful place that felt like home right away. The Thurston Crew were friendly and easy to work with. We loved our little weekend away on their property. This was everything I wanted from an Airbnb, great hosts, clean house, gorgeous surroundings, and some peace and quiet. Loved grilling on the porch, laying around in the sunny yard, and spending late nights talking with friends on the several couches in the living room. Came away feeling refreshed and with a new appreciation for Airbnb and the Trinidad area itself. Our group is already talking about making another trip out to the Thirston’s place.

Our group of six needed a last minute reservation due to our other location having plumbing issues. I messaged Kati late in the evening and she responded promptly to get us booked. The house was very well stocked and such a great home for us. We loved being in the middle of the mountains watching the wildlife and playing in the fresh snow.

We truly loved our stay. The place was just as described and remarkably clean. The host was responsive with any questions we had. The houses were both very cozy and welcoming. We'd like to come back to explore the area more so will be looking to see if this place is available. The road was a little busier than expected but nothing that would keep us from returning.

Our family, 4 plus a furbaby, throughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at Deer Ridge Lodge! We made numerous meals and the kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils we needed. The home is spacious, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The open kitchen and living room, with huge windows, was perfect for us to cook together, play games, watch some TV, and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Having the washer and dryer to use was very helpful. Though we didn't use it, there was plenty of wood for the fireplace. The water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water for multiple showers. The neighborhood was quiet, with a small herd of deer hanging out in the area. A greenbelt trail is just up the hill behind the house and was great for dog walking. All in all, this was the perfect place for our Angel Fire vacation.
