Vacation rentals with a kayak in Rangeley Plantation

This is probably one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at! The cabin is breathtaking and the pictures and description on the listing do not even do it justice. It’s perfectly located to downtown Rangley and Saddleback mountain which we skied only 15 mins away. East check in, easy to find. The amenities were abundant, from towel warmers to games to all the spices to make a delicious dinner, and a cute stocked coffee nook. The views from the window look like a postcard, over looking the lake. We even had beautiful heard of deer walking through the yard, a winter fairy tale! So peaceful. The place is spacious, there were 6 of us and ample space even more could have fit. The decor is beautiful, and we cannot wait to come back. Wish we could have stayed longer! We had a great stay in the lake cottage! It is perfect for kids to look for tree frogs and salamanders in the woods, find pretty rocks snorkeling, warm up by the fire after and play games after dinner. I was worried about 1 bathroom for 8 people, but it never became an issue. Scapes cafe is only 5 minutes away and they have a lot of breakfast/lunch options (cheddar biscuits are a must have!) Be careful on the deck, it can be a little slippery when wet, bring a sharp knife if you plan on a lot of cooking and you’ll have the best time!

every thing was great. I had to get in touch with David when we first arrived and he got back to me immediately. Everybody like it. We will certainly get in touch with David when we come back to Maine. The only thing I would do If I were David is put the house numbers on the mailbox, we were concerned we were going to the right house but really no problem

We enjoyed the stay for our snowmobile trip. Great space and our group enjoyed the games and air hockey. We’d definitely go back again!

Our new favorite place to stay in Maine! So close to Mt Abram and Sunday River, many great restaurants close by, and the house was so clean and cozy. Heat worked great and the bed was extremely comfortable. We felt right at home!

Steven and Kristen's home was so peaceful and quiet and, yet, still close to restaurants, BOWLING (++), stores, and tons of winter activities. It was the perfect winter getaway with all the "tools" needed for an ideal, pleasant stay. Steven was always quick to respond and very helpful with our stay. Highly Recommended!!

Loved this spot, it’s got great snowmobile access, a lot of room, and the hot tub was perfect after a long day of riding.

Rustic peace and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake. Lovely hearing the loons at night. Great fishing, plus plenty of herons, turtles, hummingbirds; a bald eagle— even ran into a pair of river otters! Great place to recharge and live simply for awhile.

Kelly was very fast in responding to our questions! The cabin was perfect for the rainy weekend that we had! The kayaks were a hit with the kids!

We love staying here it's very private. The yard and house are beautiful. The deer come in the yard all the time when we put out the deer food, that is supplied, within the hour. It's very exciting to watch them.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at the cottage. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature and offering stunning sunset views of the pond along with kayaks to go out and enjoy! The cottage itself was cozy and clean and we felt at home! Darlene was welcoming and attentive ensuring everything was just right for our stay! I highly recommend this charming retreat for anyone looking for a peaceful stay! It was a bit chilly so we were able to enjoy the fire pit outdoors with the wood that was provided! I can’t wait to return and stay longer! We can clearly see why this cottage has so many positive reviews!!

Loons Rest was the perfect get away spot for our 40th anniversary. We were lucky to enjoy the swimming dock in mid September as the daytime temperatures were in the upper 70's to low 80's. The lake was pristine and was warm enough for swimming still. We enjoyed watching and hearing the loons as well as the eagles and kingfishers. We loved the outdoor fire pit when the evenings turned cool as well as the indoor fireplace which is a work of art! Also the was plenty of well seasoned firewood. Everything about this place is very well thought out. If they don't have it you don't need it! The kitchen was well equipped and we were happy to find that there was everything we needed to prepare pizzas to cook on our solo stove pizza oven that we had brought along! John is a great host and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend Loons Rest to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing spot to vacation.

I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the lake house and couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the little getaway. It is beautifully located on the lake and has this huge window in the living room from which you have an amazing view. The house has everything you need, even washing machine and dryer in the basement. I would 100% recommend this unique place! Christine has been super helpful throughout my stay.

fabulous cabin on a gorgeous lake that's quiet and surrounded by nature. clean cabin easy to find and quiet town minus the occasional vehicles in the highway but not at all a bother. cabin was very well maninted, had games, kayaks, and gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. would definitely visit again! no complaints. the host Sarah was wonderful, and made the stay easy, welcoming, and relaxing.

This Airbnb was an awesome place for our annual friends ski weekend! We typically come with a group of 9-10 and this year, we all agreed that this space has been one of our very favorites! There are ample bedrooms, and really cute nooks and crannies to this house! The basement particularly seems to go on forever! The hot tub, fire pit, and being situated on a lake were amazing touches to this already excellent house. The house is definitely appointed for guests in the double digits, with both formal and casual dining spaces. It is equipped with an extremely fun game room that the whole group spent one of the nights enjoying ping pong, foosball, air hockey and a whole host of board games, like connect 4. Lastly, the super fun centralized pool table was a staple during our stay, so many of us enjoyed honing our skills! Janna was a great and communicative host, lastly but not least! We can’t say enough about this spot and want to book it again for our next annual trip!

We loved our stay at Ceara's place in Winthrop. We wanted a weekend/workday getaway and it was everything we wanted and more! It was a curious change of place for our toddler too! The location is very private and beautiful, and the stay has everything we could ask for, including a playable guitar! Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

Great spot near Mt blue pond. Has mostly everything you need at the shack. I would have packed lighter if I knew it was fully stocked. But it’s good to know for next time. There are neighbors on one side divided by a huge fence. Shack was cozy, clean and peaceful. It was so nice of Alexandra to let us use the kayak! It was awesome! Kids had a blast!

A beautiful cabin set on a picturesque lake! Comfy beds and tons of natural light. We used the cabin as our home base after two full days of exploring the campuses of Colby and Bowdoin. My only regret is not having an opportunity to take out one of the stand up paddle boards.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this charming camp on Webb Lake, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The serene setting was perfect for enjoying the outdoors together. We spent our time fishing on the beautiful lake, where we caught a handful of fish. Kayaking was a highlight as well; the combination of being on the lake, mountain views and beautiful weather was simply magical. The camp itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing a wonderful weekend getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway filled with outdoor fall activities, this is the place to be. I had an absolutely magical stay at Camp Moonbud. It was just me but I could have fit the family. For starters, it’s on a beautiful lake. The house is cozy and lovingly decorated, high-end linens, well stocked kitchen, and spotlessly clean. They didn’t miss a thing. I was the last visitor of the season and the chill was setting in, mist coming up off the lake in the mornings, and the most beautiful evening sunsets. I can imagine what a joy it must be to be here in the height of summer. The camp is located near to great hiking (I hiked), good food (I ate), and not far from Midcoast or Portland. The proprietors – Amy and Dana - are unmatched. They are responsive and warm and engaged Mainers; they picked up a grocery order for me because I was getting in late the first night, left treats for my morning breakfast, and even invited me to join their Sunday morning running gang! Huge bonus. Left Readfield with a couple of new friends! Highly recommend this gem.

Flagstaff Oasis was a great place to stay and ski at Sugarloaf! Close to the mountain and Mike was a fantastic host. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience Sugarloaf and its surrounding area.
