House vacation rentals in Rabun County

My family and I came here to celebrate my sons 17th birthday…we usually stay at the local beach or go to Disney, so I was worried this would be too laid back and serene for my kids. Turns out I had nothing to worry about because we all had an amazing time. The scenery was breathtaking! I loved having all the space that Donnas place had to offer - all the teenagers stayed downstairs in their own “house” with private deck, while my husband and I had the upstairs house with wrap around deck. Watching the sun rise over the mountains every morning with my coffee was the highlight. We visited many local restaurants and tourist traps, and had a blast. The only thing I could recommend is a new mattress in the master ~ but that’s just me because I require a very specific mattress! There were more than enough linens and cleaning products - we did all of our laundry on New Year’s Eve so we wouldn’t be doing it on New Year’s Day when we got home. Will be back for sure!

Gorgeous mountain retreat is a perfect way to describe this property. I found everything in the description of this property to be true. In my opinion Karla’s description was very humble and we found the property to be much better than expected. Entire family celebrated my father’s 90th birthday, and found the house plenty spacious for all of us. With full living space on the main level and downstairs we never felt crowded.The house was immaculate and very well stocked with items that were above and beyond any other property I’ve ever stayed in right down to the firewood. Directions were easy to follow and communication was always done in a timely fashion. If you want to relax, do nothing, enjoy the views this is the place for you. If you want to be active, go hiking, play golf, tennis, etc. this is the place for you. If you want to grill out and watch football with the gang, this place is for you. So if you have a large group, and you are looking for a mountain getaway, I recommend that you stop looking and book this property NOW!!

place was nice, clean, and great location for sky valley club and amenities. Heather and family were very helpful and responsive. they even helped me with early check in. place had a well stocked kitchen for those that like cooking.

An absolute gem of a cabin. The pictures didn't do it justice. The cabin itself was stunning and homey. Lovely kitchen with all the necessities. The view was incredible! I don't think we could have found a better place.

Outstanding location. The perfect home base to explore Rabun County or to stay and relax with a beautiful view. Even prettier in person- pictures don’t do it justice! Everything was very clean and organized. While four wheel drive is not required, we did find it difficult to get up the driveway the second day once leaves had fallen and were wet from a light shower.

The house was plenty spacious for 7 adults, 1 baby, and 2 dogs. The large sofas were extremely comfortable and fit all of us comfortably and the beds were comfortable too. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the local area and would love to come back.

We needed a place for our blended family to finally meet and have time together. One of the bedrooms had bunks which became the kids room. They loved it. They also loved the game room, playground and bathing in the heart shaped jacuzzi. The view is amazing, overlooking a pond with the mountains in the background. We had groups playing golf and tennis. It was too cold for the pool but I’m sure the kids would have been there if it was warm. There is a beautiful waterfall closer than I thought. There was plenty of room for everyone to dine and just be together. It is definitely a place we will keep in mind for future gatherings.

The home was very comfortable and spacious! I was surprised with how accommodating the resources were- plenty of toilet paper, plenty of trash bags, laundry detergent, blankets…. I have stayed at many places for longer than I did at their home and had much less to work with! Was very appreciated! The beds were comfortable and the pillows were so nice! Sometimes you don’t even get comfortable pillows so I always bring my own. The host was very responsive with questions and helpful when we had a small struggle getting into the home. It was a beautiful view from the deck! It was so close to Highlands Outpost where we went snow tubing! Less than 10 minutes! The vineyard at High Holly was very nice as well. (5 minute drive if that). Would love to go back and do more around the area!

Ginger was very accommodating. There was a storm that passed through, and on the fly Ginger made sure she accommodated me and my partner unexpectedly with things intensifying over the night. She had everything we needed there for a comfortable stay and my girlfriend even talked about how she was surprised with how clean things were. She had games and complementary items. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area!

Such a wonderful place to stay. The views, location and house set up was perfect! The house was exactly what we needed and we will be back for sure!

Jaqueline Lodge was a true gem of a find! Private home in the mountains with plenty of porches to relax on and listen to the River below. The history of the home was really fascinating. Comfy beds and furniture! Scott was extremely responsive and helpful. Thanks again for sharing your family’s historic home with us!

My good friend and I loved our stay here! It’s very private and quiet. The tiny house felt brand new. The beds were comfy and we loved how big the bathroom was. Lots of pots and pans if you wish to cook too. Highly recommend! 🙂

Loved our time here! The location is so central if you are looking to spend time in Clayton, Highlands, Dillard or Franklin. Within a few minutes to an hour, you have endless options. We hiked Black Rock which was beautiful… Horseback riding near Helen… Mountain roller-coaster in Highlands… so many good food options within 15 minutes. The host was great! The entire family agreed that we want to come back and stay at this property. Amazing location and such a nice home with the kind of mountain view we hoped for. Btw - maybe THE highlight for our kids - they loved the neighbor’s two Great Pyrenees dogs that patrolled the mountain. Two BIG sweethearts that kept an eye on things but also would come say hello (looking for a head scratch) from time to time. Leaving early in the morning, we had to stop the car so they could say goodbye.

This is the second time we've taken advantage of Ashley and her family's hospitality. We have 2 kids (5 and 7) and a dog. The house is PERFECT for those ages. The entire upstairs is full of books, toys, etc. Our 7-year old got a kick of the neon rainbow sign in her room haha. It was pretty chilly so we didn't spend a TON of time outside in the mornings and evenings, but the kids loved the swing set, and the fenced-in area for our dog gave him plenty of room to run around and be a dog. We absolutely love Clayton, too. Great restaurants/bars/kid-friendly places/shopping, all of it. We've even been scouting the area for property of our own. Thank you, Ashley, for a lovely cozy home, being an amazing communicator, and wonderful host. I'm sure we'll be back!

This was our third Christmas at The Farmhouse. Obviously we love it! Todd and Jacqui decorate beautifully for the holidays. (Already the house is beautifully and comfortably furnished.). The location is convenient for friends and family to visit throughout the week. The grounds around the house provide a very safe and private playground for the kids. The kids love to play and run around the large flat yard. And, finding the few sticks in the yard for the fire pit has become a kids and dads outdoor ritual. We book early to ensure we can carry on this relatively new but popular family tradition of a trip to The Farmhouse in Dillard in December.

Absolutely amazing place! Although our stay was short, it left unforgettable memories. The house is a fairytale — rustic charm meets modern comfort. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, from the cozy fireplace lounge to stylish bedrooms. Our daughter loved her modern room (she didn’t want to leave!) our son adored his little “den” (he called it his hideaway!) and we had a peaceful bedroom with a balcony — perfect for morning coffee. The views from the windows? Like a movie — especially at sunset. The house had everything we needed: TVs in every room, a cozy BBQ area, a fully stocked kitchen. We even celebrated my birthday — beautiful plates, wine glasses, everything was perfect! Our host was incredibly kind and recommended amazing nearby trails We visited: • Black Rock Mountain 🌄 • Tallulah Falls with the suspension bridge and dramatic unforgettable views ! Had a beautiful, peaceful spring break with family . The home provided enough space for 10 people and enough outdoor fun to keep the kids and adults occupied. The property was very clean , thank you to the housekeeping staff for making it perfect

This house was in the perfect location. It had plenty of room and everything we needed. Christy was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were so comfy and lots of games for the kids. We will definitely be back next summer!

We absolutely loved our stay! The beds were comfortable and the home was very cozy. It had everything needed and more. It’s just a quick little trip down the mountain to get into town. The GPS didn’t take you directly to the house so it was a little hard to find the first day but after we found it, it was easy to get back. Would recommend and stay again!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the Four Season Retreat in Tiger. We had 7 adults and 2 small children, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spend time together, but also have their privacy when they wished. The property is large, with a lot of outdoor spaces to gather, as well. The directions for getting there were accurate and easy to follow, and the house exactly as described. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a good weekend. Thanks, Erin!

Low Gap Lodge was wonderful for our Thanksgiving with family. Home is beautiful, clean and cozy. Easy to find and lots of easy parking. The home is stocked like none other. The surrounding area is beautiful. Nice walking distance to bridge over spillway and nice little park in the water. Be sure to take your canoe/ kayaks. Would definitely stay again!!
