Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Putnam County

Very unique place. Appeared to be a new house, surrounded by friendly sheep and burros! That's right, sheep and burros.

Scott's place was wonderful! It was spacious, clean and well decorated. Beautiful back yard that was fenced in for our pup and there was even a little paved portion inside the fence where we were able to park our motorcycles overnight. The only issue we had was loose dogs in the neighborhood that liked to linger in the front yard. I'm sure they were friendly, but you never know so we were a little concerned about that. Otherwise, our stay was great and Scott was very responsive and attentive every time I messaged him. I would 10/10 recommend!

We were very confortable and happy to have stayed here. It was peaceful, clean, and had lots of music history on its decor.

We hosted a small women’s retreat at the North Star guesthouse. The location and view were perfect for our retreat and a small group of ladies!

The house is perfect for a quiet woodsy getaway. The view is the best part of the property. I loved all the details that went into the house like the cozy screened in porch and the surround sound you can connect to. A very sweet little place, I would love to visit again.

My 2nd stay here for annual Wildlife Mgmt Area work and its local to my site, and a great landing pad for long days in the woods. The heated bath floor & open plan is nice & roomy, plenty of coffee (since I forgot mine) and other tidbits. Previously I didn't stop at the Front Porch store, to my loss - this is a local gem that is a must-stop for all kinds of everything from bkst / lunch to jams/jellies/butters, breads and you name it. Jane's place is def'ly my goto locally (and I've been to a few others previously) but have found a good one here. Thx Jane!

I enjoyed my stay and booked another for later. The bed was comfy and I felt like I was in a safe area. I had my own parking space. It was very clean inside. I would recommend!

This place was everything we needed and it’s such a lovely and spacious home. Anna is awesome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful log cabin! The view made it hard to leave. In fact, we agreed that it’s the best view in the area! A new screened-in deck was the perfect touch to this rental! The majority of our time was spent listening to nature and watching hummingbirds without any worries of the giant bugs of central Tennessee bothering us :) Dennis was one of the best hosts I’ve worked with. He was responsive and personable. It’s clear he loves this house and wants his guests to love it too!

I stayed here for about 5 months. I only have positive things to say about this place. Check in was simple and Anna always replied quickly. The apartment itself was immaculate and had everything that I needed. It was modern and more spacious than the photos would suggest. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

We had an amazing time with our family and friends before they head back to college/work. Our boat is at Hurricane Marina and the drive there was less than 15 minutes- which was very nice! We enjoyed playing pool and games. House had everything you needed and was clean and comfortable! We highly recommend this place and Michelle was super responsive! Thank you for sharing!

Anna was so kind when we had an issue with a hornet nest on the deck. Maintenance came right away and was so friendly. The home was just what we were looking for. Pool was perfect for a dip after work. We will definitely be back if we visit the area again.

Our family had a fabulous, comfortable stay at Karen's place. We were visiting family in Sparta, so the location between Cookeville and Sparta was PERFECT for grocery runs and quick pops over to see one another. We especially loved all of the holiday touches throughout the home. It's our second stay with her and my family just loves this sweet home!

Exactly as pictured and described. The shower is amazing. USB charging points. Everywhere were a pleasant surprise.

My wife and I (and our two dogs) stayed as we were visiting our son over a long weekend. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, because of being with family, but it met our needs. The master bed was very comfortable, the bath linens were great, and the kitchen had what we needed (we did only cook breakfast there). We wish we had more time to sit on the back porch and enjoy the view. There was plenty of room for our dogs to roam, and Ammon even had one dog crate available, so we only had to travel with one. The thing that impressed us most was Ammon himself. We never actually met him, wish we had, but he was one of the most responsive hosts we have ever dealt with. I sent him a number of emails leading up to our stay and during our stay, and I don't think I ever waited more than 45 minutes for an answer. The best thing I can say, if we ever need an Airbnb while in Cookeville again, we will stay here.

Lori’s place was very cozy, cute, extremely clean, close to interstate, and felt very charming. Lori was very responsive and very quick with responses. We booked very “out of the blue,” and she accommodated us quickly, had little snacks, coffees/creamers/teas/toiletries and had everything decorated for Christmas. The cabin was spotless and very convenient to both Crossville and Cookeville. Directions for heat, check-out, etc was very clear and extremely easy! Stayed many places and this one is a gem!!

House was great. The only drawback was the last 2 miles of drive in. The road / driveway is not paved and not well maintained. SUV is good but if you went with a low car or sport car you would have issues. If it happens to snow you will need AWD to get up the hill in the last 2 miles.

This home was described accurately; however, the area is being developed so there is a bit more traffic on the road than we were expecting. But it is still mostly very quiet and extremely dark at night. The sky was so dark that the Milky Way was visible within minutes during the mostly moonless week we visited. The kitchen was remarkably well-stocked with just about anything we needed for Thanksgiving meal prep (yes, immersion blender!) Communication was very fast with any questions we had.

We have been renting vacation mountain homes for over thirty years and myself and my Family felt this was number one in all these years. The location is in amazing area and we would definitely visit again given the opportunity was a perfectly Beautiful very well appointed home. If someone is looking for a luxury home to just decompress and rest and have the beauty of the Tennessee Mountains "This is the home for you" at a amazing price.
