This place is such a gem - we loved staying here. It feels really secluded and peaceful. The vintage decor is cozy and charming, and there are tons of books everywhere - perfect for lazy afternoons. We saw lots of wildlife right outside, which made it feel like a real escape. If you’re looking for somewhere private to unwind with a lot of character, you’ll love it here!

The house was lovely and very clean and Piotr was an excellent host and even met us at check in to show us around. There are 4 bedrooms and each bedroom has its own bathroom which was very convenient for us. The kitchen was well stocked and It was very comfortable stay for my family of 7 adults and two babies and two dogs. One bedroom is on the main floor and two bedrooms are on the walkout lower level and one bedroom is on the upper floor. To get to the upper floor there is a steep winding staircase that wasn’t an issue for us, but I would not recommended it for small children or toddlers. The outdoor hot tub was a nice addition.

Beyond thrilled with a house you have see to believe. Best hosts we've ever had by far. Paul went above and beyond for us, even enlisting the help of his son to help our son with a video game issue! The house is perfection and we can't wait to come back. This is one-of-a-kind!

The house was just like the pictures. However, a picture couldn't capture the tranquility and beauty of the view from the house and private large quiet patio. The swans passed by along w other birds! Walkable into town for restaurants, CVS or the local park/lake. A few blocks away was a well stocked little market owned by a hospitable man. The neighbors were very friendly; the community very safe. Easy driving on HWY 17 to many local places nearby, that includes the wineries.

We went crazy for this place! The house is meant to please. A large group of us came from nyc for a getaway trip. The amenities keep you very well entertained - hot tub, walking trail, game room, grill, sonos surround sound lining the home, etc. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and the home feels absolutely home-y. I highly highly recommend for someone looking for a getaway from the hustle of nyc. Would love to return. Thank you for being a gem of a host Paula - very responsive and caring.

Jane’s house was wonderful for our long weekend stay with our family. The property is beautiful with lots of fun things for the kids and adults to enjoy. I was a little nervous about the window unit air conditioners with the 90 degree heat but the house was cool and comfortable. We met Jane on her way out and she seems lovely! She takes pride in taking care of her house and property :)

The view from the back porch is even more beautiful than you would realize from the images on AirBNB. This is a lovely house in a tranquil, breathtaking location!

We had a lovely weekend at Claudine's. The property is serene. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. We also loved having the sauna. We wanted to grill, but propane was not included in the grill and incurred an extra cost or we had to bring our own tank. For the price and nature of the house, including something like this seems fair. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Suzanne was a fantastic host and the house was everything we expected…just as described and pictured! Extremely responsive, great communication and a perfect place for our long weekend getaway close to family! We will return!

Great for exploring Beacon and the Hudson Valley. Great communication for a last minute reservation and the space was as described. Hot water was good. Very quiet and comfortable. Beautiful view from backyard. Great covered porch. Suggestions to host: - a better desk for working from a laptop. The dining table and old style desk aren’t the best for that. - better curtains. I didn’t mind as the area is very dark at night and I like to wake up with the sun, but they are very sheer and even missing from certain windows in the den. If you want to sleep in the light may wake you up early. - a small table or the like for the backyard. The covered porch is great but something fully in the sun would be nice.

This is a great place for a family week/weekend. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked and made cooking family meals super fun. The house itself is more beautiful in person than it is in pictures and John was an incredibly responsive and generous host.

Came north from NC to see my Cadet at West Point. Beautiful lakeside home in an idyllic setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The Adirondack chairs on the dock were just what we needed. Beds were comfortable and everything in the home worked perfectly. Gaby was a superb and responsive host. 10m to Mahopac. About 20m to Garrison Station and 40m to West Point. About 10m away is the historic Bird and Bottle Inn where we had a lovely dinner. Hope to stay at Gaby’s in the future.

My parents and I really enjoyed our stay at Mark’s. His house was beautifully situated right on Lake Mahopac with plenty to do in town and in the surrounding area. Everything was as described and met all of our needs. Mark was extremely accommodating with our length of stay (~ 6 weeks) and allowing us to bring our animals (2 dachshunds, 1 cat). Check-in was easy and upon arrival we were greeted with a gift basket and a binder with all sorts of info (emergency, food, fun activities). The backyard was beautiful, completely fenced in, and super convenient for the pups. When we had questions, all we had to do was send off a quick text and Mark responded in a timely manner. I can’t recommend Mark’s place enough!

I have rented Lara’s place for my cousin and her husband when they visit me for several years now. It’s a lovely little apartment close to town. I’m happy that it has been available and reasonably priced!

Chris’ place was immaculately decorated and felt peaceful! Beautiful spot right on the pristine lake, foliage being in peak season definitely made things even better. Close to fun fall towns like Sleepy Hollow and Cold Spring, but honestly could just spend every minute relaxing at the well-stocked home. You can tell Chris and his family take pride in their home and are happy to share it to price the best experience for their guests. Chris was quick to respond if needed and went out of his way to make a trip quickly to ensure we were properly taken care of at the home. 10/10 - would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Todd's place! Todd greeted us warmly and was very responsive. The pool was fantastic and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a serene spot to relax. We stayed in the pool apartment, which looked out at the pool and stunning backyard. It was well-equipped with a kitchen, pool towels, a TV, couches, and a dining table. Wendy, Todd's wife, welcomed us with cookies, and they provided milk, orange juice, eggs, yogurt, and fruits. There was also a grill available. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the pool a lot. Despite being a shared pool, there was plenty of space and time for everyone. We also used the tennis court and played some basketball at the basketball rink there. Todd and Wendy made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We highly recommend their place!

My wife and I spent a long weekend here and had a great stay. the cottage is as exactly as described, and we felt right at home. it was clean, comfortable and a peaceful retreat. the jetted bathtub was AMAZING and the loft space was spacious with a gorgeous & comfortable bed. we will definitely stay again if we come back to the area!

This was our third stay at Marybeth's, everything was great, as usual. The unit is spacious, clean, and very conveniently located.

We had an amazing and relaxing time at Igals beautiful house. The house is set back away from the street for the ultimate private get a way. The kids loved the pool Wich was very refreshing and cool for the hot summer days. Igal was extremely responsive and accommodating to all of our needs! We will definitely be returning in the future:)

there were 8 in our group ranging from teenagers to seniors, and we all enjoyed the home. There was plenty of room to spread out, and lots of options to all be together as well. we loved the well-stocked kitchen, the comfy living room, the cozy library and the huge dining room table. the bedrooms were spacious and the beds and linens were comfy. the bathroom in the primary bedroom was especially nice. we loved the character of the old farm house... lots of interesting nooks and crannies, gorgeous floor boards and moldings, beautiful antiques mixed with modern touches. the grounds were beautiful and fun to walk around. we would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay that fit our needs, and a good gathering space for family in the area to come have dinner and visit. The kids loved the arcade machine! Sitting on the porch to have coffee and look out at the lake was very relaxing. Thank you!

Enjoyed the comfortable and quiet tranquility of the place. Stayed over a month. Especially the beautiful Fall foliage of the surrounding area had offered during our stay. Marisa was a wonderful host and easy to communicate. Appreciated her quick responses to resolve when we encountered some glitches in the beginning. Although, We didn’t get to use her pool being out of season, it would have been nice. Glad we were able to make this home away from home with ease.
