House vacation rentals in Putnam County

Had a fun weekend here with friends. The location is close enough to gas stations and other places to quickly grab whatever you might need, but still feels remote. Lots of space on the property but unfortunately due to heavy rain we couldn't use it to its full potential. Would recommend if you're looking to enjoy nature while still being close to Bloomington (about 15 minutes from campus.)

A welcome retreat before and after my son’s wedding at a local venue. It was so nice to be able to have a place to relax after the rehearsal & wedding. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to enjoy the pool!

Really nice place. Close to everything, but still a “country“ lot. Clean home with all the necessary amenities. Host quick to respond and had no issues at all! Pool and arcade were fun extras!

Great location close to our family for Thanksgiving week! Home was cozy and great for fun with the kids- ping pong and pool were a big hit along with the fire pit when we made s’mores. Fav was our surprise outdoor guest Katie! She was a sweet heart and kept us company every time we were outside. Would stay again.

Tom and Robert were the best hosts—so friendly, polite, and welcoming! They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, from allowing a flexible check-in and check-out to ensuring we had everything we needed. The property itself was stunning, with a beautiful setup that made for a perfect getaway. The hot tub was an absolute highlight—so relaxing and exactly what we needed. We were especially grateful that we were able to have fun without any issues, and they were so accommodating throughout our stay. To top it all off, their dog is absolutely adorable! We can’t recommend this place enough and would love to return. Thank you, Tom and Robert, for an unforgettable experience!

Overall it was great place and served its purpose … Great gathering space but for 8 people to hang out in the common area it could use more seating. I would recommend this over separate hotel rooms for a group traveling together !

This place is truly a wonderful getaway spot. Plenty of room for all 7 adults and an infant. We loved the homey nature of the house and outside area! The kitchen and dining area made meal time easy and fun for all of us girls to enjoy time together. And the pool area was perfect! We loved that all of us could spend time talking and relaxing around and in the pool for a while day! Maryanne was a perfect host and answered all of our questions quickly. Sheade this weekend girls' getaway so easy!

House was big and a good price. They definitely need to upgrade pillows and invest in small stuff. i.e. pizza tray and cutter, wine opener that works and wet and dry measuring cups. Overall we had a great stay.

The family room/great room is large with perfectly placed furniture. The lighting is bright. The beds were so nice to climb into each night. We enjoyed fluffy towels, a large bathroom, access to a large laundry and well accommodated kitchen. We really appreciate the snacks, water and coffee. Lovely host who is a joy to communicate and stay with!

Beautiful home, perfect location close to DePauw. Outstanding host. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Justin’s place was perfect for a weekend in Greencastle. It’s close enough to campus and downtown to walk but far enough to be out of the way. The neighborhood was great and easy to find.

Trillium in Greencastle is a newer listing. The location was perfect to everything DePauw and Greencastle related. The house was a wonderful history lesson from the old books and magazines in the poker room to the information in the family room. Bedrooms were cozy, beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were just right. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook over Easter weekend. We look forward to returning!

Thank you for having us. The house was great! A little further from campus than I’d originally thought, but it worked out great for the weekend.

Vicki’s place was a home from home. We didn’t want for anything. She had lot of thoughtful touches from having toiletries for us to use, coffee pods, laundry detergent. The location was beautifully set on the golf course. It was the perfect location for us as we were in town for a wedding. Vicki was also very responsive when I reached out to her. If we are ever back in Greencastle we will definitely stay here again.

Halle’s place is a gem. It is so thoughtfully designed and the wood throughout makes it such a warm and inviting place to stay. It’s in a quiet rural area but close to Greencastle. It would be perfect as a family getaway or quiet escape. The kitchen was very well stocked with what we needed to cook. A perfect stay.

Another wonderful stay! Close to campus, comfy beds, full kitchen for cooking and lovely neighborhood. Pups were happy too. Thanks Josie for being a great host! :)

If you're looking for a centrally located home for your visit, look no further than this stunning Victorian house. Aleksandra is an exceptional host, maintaining clear communication. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a handwritten note welcoming us, along with a snack basket. Such a nice personal touch! The rooms were spotless, and the house itself exuded charm and comfort. Loved the kitchen! The outdoor space was equally impressive, and I hope to return during a time of warmer weather. This stay was a perfect blend of convenience, hospitality, and comfort – highly recommended!

Vickie was an amazing host and very responsive to any questions we had. The place was clean and comfortable and I loved the built in desk that allowed me to work remote while visiting our son at DePauw!

We loved it! Great location, a big car park next door, clean and loads of room, short walk to restaurants and easy access to Depauw if you are visiting. The host was fantastic and left us some nice snacks 😃 We’d love to come back!

What a place! Lots of space to spread out! The race car was the highlight!

What a beautiful place! The house has clearly been lovingly restored, and it was an incredibly relaxing place to stay for a few days while I was at a conference at DePauw! The thing I loved most was the full kitchen - I did mostly frozen meals but the kitchen is truly fully equipped.

This was the perfect place for our DePauw weekend. So close to campus and the town square. Very well equipped. I highly recommend "Indulgence" if you are looking for a place in Greencastle.

Had trouble with the side door lock was not working the garage door locked but when we went somewhere had to manually shut the garage door then the lock wouldn’t open the garage door. Had to call around 9 pm to get it taken care of Maggie was very helpful all went well the rest of the stay
