I can recommend the place to anyone who wants to escape the stressful everyday city life. It is really something special and pure nature. Massimo is the perfect host, always friendly and very helpful but also not too intrusive. We had our dog with us and he didn't want to leave the area at all. In the apartment everything was very clean and the fireplace gives off enough warmth if you feed it well with wood. Massimo is also happy to help here if you have problems with the fire. Tip top, always happy to come back!

My husband and son stayed in the chalet for two nights, we were welcomed by Mrs. Valentina, a wonderful woman, kind, nice and very helpful, she also prepared breakfasts for us, with homemade jam, cakes, cookies, etc. Nothing was missing, we felt right at home. The cabin is also beautiful and cared for in every detail! If I can express my personal opinion, the only thing is that maybe it would take a slightly more stocked kitchen, in the sense that if there is a weekend and one eats outside it is fine, but if you stay more days it becomes difficult as apart from the microwave the fridge and a portable hot plate is missing, for example, a sink where you can wash things. But it's really a detail because otherwise it's perfect!!! We hope to be able to come back 😊

Simone received me very kindly and I felt right at home. She cares for the well-being of the guests in her beautiful, tastefully decorated, quiet house. She is also happy to provide information about the area and it has a lot of interesting literature. Thanks, I'd love to come back.

It's a short drive, but you'll get something for that. The cottage is more than fine and the view is really fantastic! And what peace and quiet. Sandro, our host, was very friendly and quick to respond. Honestly, it takes 20 minutes to drive up the mountain, but this gets used to quickly and with a little planning you really won't be bothered. On the way on the mountain we came across goats, a deer and cats. So take it easy and enjoy it. The village is also worth a walk. There isn't much, but it's very charming and sweet.

A beautiful and really special place with a great view. Secluded and quiet yet easy to reach. Possible by car if it has normal ground clearance and width, on foot to Mergozzo and the lake in about 30 minutes. Great hiking opportunities, also right from the house or nearby. Swimming opportunities on Lake Mergozzo in different places or in the other lakes - Maggiore, Orta.... marvel at sights, discover little towns, stroll in narrow streets, make excursions or just chill on the large terrace and enjoy sun... everything possible. The house has everything it needs, Patrizia is super nice, her family is also warm and hospitable, we felt completely comfortable and would be happy to come back.

Good and friendly communication with the hosts. A beautiful historical house in the forest in the hills above Pettenasco, overlooking Lake Orta. Very quiet, there is even a river that you can hear from the house. It feels like you are in the middle of nature, but it is actually quite accessible, a 20 min or so walk from the station of Pettenasco. The path up through the forest is steep, so be prepared for that. A great region for hiking, there are trails that you can access directly from the house or from the village of Pettenasco. Also it is possible to reach Orta and Omegna by train a couple of times a day, and once a day by boat. The apartment is as described, it has everything you need and it's clean. I would definitely stay here again.

It was exactly as described and for us, a unique stay. Close proximity to San Giulio without being in the center of the touristy chaos. Augusta was super responsive but respectful of our privacy. She was also super accommodating to a couple of requests that we had. We left with a positive experience!

It was a nice stay. It’s a simple but solid place to stay. The owners are really nice, communication was easy, the place clean and equipped with all you need. For people who want to work from here: the provided wifi is good enough but not great. I would come again.
