We had such a lovely stay at Il Paluffo! The property itself was beautiful and the views of the Tuscan countryside cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and truly went above and beyond for us in a time of need. Meaning — I would highly recommend renting a car if you stay here, you can get an Uber/taxi to the property but they will not come back and pick you up! A car will also be helpful when going to wineries/restaurants since most of them are not walkable. Other than our transportation hiccup, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!

It was a very pleasant stay and the Lugar is very nice, the common areas are very clean and the staff was very kind, I recommend it 100%.

The best room in Italy I have ever lived! Lavinia and Riccardo are really nice, kind, zealous and friendly! They gave us the best service! Also, breakfast is nice, especially cookies! You won't regret it if you live there! Anyway, I will live there every time in Florence afterwards.

Great location and great place to stay. The views from the rooms were amazing.Steven was a great host and gave us good recommendations for local restaurants. The place is very calm and quiet and it was a very enjoyable stay.

Everything was perfect, Matteo managed to create an incredible atmosphere in his property in the middle of this regional park, a real haven of peace. The rooms (like the whole property) are decorated with a lot of taste and charm. The house is warm and impeccably clean. In the heart of nature, in the middle of the mountains, the environment is beautiful and lends itself to beautiful walks. We were also able to dine at the restaurant, the food, wine and atmosphere were perfect too. Thanks again to Matteo for hosting us, his many recommendations, we'll be back with pleasure and recommend it to everyone without so much as a second thought.

We loved this place! Great hosts. Storybook type room / accommodations. Everything was super clean and and top quality! Every detail of the room and library was well thought out. Nice breakfast! Super close to San Donato. Note: The steep driveway down to this gorgeous property is not for the faint of heart. We will stay here again!

Michèle was a fabulous host, and I loved staying at her place. She was extraordinarily helpful and nice - and gives an amazing shiatsu massage. Would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away from the busy cities and towns and get back to nature, but also is accessible to all of the amazing things that can be experienced in Tuscany. Cannot wait to revisit.

Excellent accommodation only with 3 beautiful bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom. Very clear instructions and easy to get to and park. Clean with beautiful salt pool shared with the neighborhood. The bedding is perfect. We couldn't connect to the wifi but we didn't mind. There is a hot and cold water dispenser for very convenient drinks. A small coffee machine would be missing. It was not disturbing as there is a cafe next door but closed on Sundays. I would not hesitate to come back because it's really nice and original! Very friendly hosts

Christine was a great host. We absolutely loved everything about their place. The breakfasts were amazing. Our homemade pizza was so good. Our cooking class w/ Connie was top notch! My son & his wife recommended it to us and we plan to do the same. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

I'd give this place a million stars if I could. The room and bathroom were huge, views from every single window were incredible, and the property itself is just magical. The bed and the pillows were super comfortable. There's a gorgeous natural pool that I would've loved to use but it was too cold. There's a daily changing multi-course dinner menu cooked by a chef on site for evenings we didn't feel like going out to eat. The staff was harvesting olives from their trees when we were checking out. They let us participate and shared their process with us. I loved taking home a bottle of olive oil and other products they make with produce grown directly on the property. I spent three weeks traveling throughout Italy, staying a multiple places, and this was my favorite place by far. Thank you to Lorenzo and family for such an incredible stay!

Very helpful service and a beautiful place

Beautiful views that make you no longer want to move. Super located, beautiful landscape on every side. The pool is clean and tidy. Lots of space for walking, safe for children who ran around the property on their own. Elevations are pleasant, which makes cycling easier. The apartment is clean, fully equipped, and a big plus. Great contact with the owner, she was very helpful, she responded very quickly to any doubts if they appeared, explained right away. I recommend the place! I'll be sure to go back :)

Beautiful and exotic apartment, an original and neat decoration, a very pleasant hot tub, perfect bedding. We had a lovely time at Davide and Mathias's place, who, even though we did not meet them, did everything to make our stay easier. Thank you!

We highly recommend Rancone Lodge. Nicky was an amazing host and helped us with late check-in and dinner after we had car hassles. The place was amazing! The room was peaceful and spotless and a perfect spot to relax. The property was gorgeous. The staff were all fun and kind and full of helpful suggestions. The area has so much to offer with beautiful villages, restaurants and hikes. Would recommend to anyone who wants a perfect break in the hills of Tuscany. Hope to come again one day soon. The road for the last 5 kilometers to the villa is uphill on a narrow path. It is not recommended to drive at night.

This was a perfect place to stay in Florence. ideal location to do all the sightseeing, literally right in the action, while maintaining a quiet, beautiful place to stay. we enjoyed our time here.
