We stayed the week of New Year's day and found Joyce and Eric's home to be a perfect distance from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Additionally, we enjoyed the view and serenity of the lake to take the edge off from the crowded parks. It is a perfect retreat for relaxation and I was able to take so many landscape and nature pictures. There are 2 docks and a great assortment of kayaks to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this place for any season of the year.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this serene Airbnb in the woods! From start to finish, everything was a breeze. The check-in process was seamless, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive. The barn house itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The surrounding woods provided the perfect backdrop for peaceful mornings and star-filled nights. We especially loved the fire pits and the endless supply of wood—it made for such memorable evenings by the fire! The location struck the perfect balance of feeling secluded yet convenient, with plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors or just relax and unwind. The extra touches from the hosts, along with their clear communication, made this one of the best stays we’ve ever had. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already looking forward to coming back!

Our host was kind, helpful, and responsive. Home was cozy, clean, kitchen was well stocked. We had a wonderful stay.

Honestly one of the nicest Airbnbs I have ever stayed at. It is a duplex but the only time I ever heard the neighbors was when they were installing carpet. Otherwise it was peaceful and I felt 100% safe at all times. I would HIGHLY recommend.

This was a last minute trip due to a death in family. We looked at a couple of Airbnb and they mostly were wanting check in a certain time. We came across Jullian place on site. We booked it and she responded right away. Explained the situation and she worked with us with the late check-in. After checking in early in the morning. We address some small issues, even though they were small and did not hender our stay she responded right away and wasted no time fixing issues. Place was immaculate and accommodation all our needs. Can not say enough about her place. Thank you for accommodation me and my family. Highly recommend this location if you are in the area And need a place to stay!

We had a great stay at Bryson’s place in the Fan. The house is quiet, comfortable, and has lots of historical character. Location is ideal. Bryson and Teri were also great hosts, very quick with helpful responses and suggestions for the neighborhood. Recommend for sure.

This place was perfect for my family. There’s a beautiful creek to explore with my kids, and there was plenty of space to host family and friends during the holidays. 10/10 would stay again.
