Vacation rentals with a pool in Preston County

We had a wonderful family stay at the Terra Alta Lake View House. The house is beautiful, with stunning lake views that create the perfect setting to relax and unwind. It was clean, modern, and thoughtfully stocked, especially in the kitchen, which had everything we needed for cooking meals together. The host’s attention to detail made us feel right at home. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in a gorgeous setting, I highly recommend Terra Alta Lake View House!

The wood paneling, doors and A-frame are beautiful features of the house. The wood-burning stove in the living room was ideal for a cozy winter stay. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of amenities- coffee drip machine, Keurig, air-fryer, spices, etc.. The sheets were perfect-100% cotton- as were the towels, and they have a memory foam mattress. I hadn’t been sleeping that well before I arrived, and my first night there I think I slept like nine hours. The decks are beautiful, with the front deck stocked with plenty of wood. Jake was always responsive and kind. We played guitar there, cooked, sang and caught up on much needed sleep. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We knew there were neighbors nearby but you could barely see other houses. The road was quiet and the area very peaceful. We enjoyed the walking trail along the lake as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Clair was very responsive to questions. My family felt at home while there. The spa tube was wonderful. Fussball table was a hit.

I don't usually write reviews, but Woodhaven deserves a lot of praise. Beautiful house in beautiful setting. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Wendy texted several times to check on us (we had 12 inches of snow!) and the snowplows. We look forward to returning in the summer.

My husband, our six year old son, and I had a lovely stay at Heather and Brett’s place. Since many things to do in the area are closed in the winter, we mostly enjoyed cooking and hanging out in the cabin and nearby. We walked around in the woods right behind the house, walked to the lake, and checked out the lodge for dinner one night (be aware that restaurant hours are very limited at the resort in the winter). We wanted to make sure we got to see some snow this winter and Terra Alta delivered on that! We loved the bedrooms - classic cabin feel and very comfy beds, pillows, and blankets. Looking out the back window at the forest was one of my favorite parts of the visit: we saw families of deer multiple times each day, even in the snow. Visiting a local, family-owned farm for some fresh meat to make pot roast was another highlight. Great quality family time in a cozy environment!
