Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Preston County

We had a great time at this place! The property was spacious enough for our group of 11 and could comfortably accommodate up to 15 people. It was nice, clean, and cozy. The host provided clear instructions throughout the house (kitchen, bathroom, walls, etc.), making everything easy to navigate. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and kitchen essentials, and the host even stocked ice melt, which came in handy due to the snow. However, the kitchen appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven) were on the smaller side for a large group, and one of the cooktop burners wasn’t working. Also, while the listing mentioned a community heated pool, it was quite cold which dampened our afternoon.

We loved this place! The house is great for a group of people. It is very well decorated, all of the fine details thought of and, overall very comfortable. The fenced in backyard is huge. Our pup loved it. The outdoor area is beautiful and very private. We would love to rent this place again!

This was the second time that we have stayed at Rex’s place. Although the weather for us was less than ideal, (rainy, and cold), we still enjoyed our time, got to get on the river and do a little kayak fishing and enjoy a couple nights by a campfire. We met the lady that cleans the house and she was absolutely wonderful, and very cordial . Her and her husband actually gave us a little private tour around the lovely little town of Rowlesburg. I would definitely recommend this as a peaceful getaway! Thank you again!

Laura was wonderful and the place was cozy warm when we arrived in rain, sleet and very cold afternoon. She is responsive and a gracious host. The place was exactly like the pictures and the view is breathtaking. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.

We found a "six" star gem walking in the door at Woodhaven. The photos, though true to life, could not adequately convey the warmth and coziness of the living quarters, cleanliness of the rooms, well appointed furnishings in the kitchen, high end bedroom linens and abundance of puzzles/games to keep one entertained and engaged. Wendy's attention to detail, hospitality AND ability to orchestrate a "blizzard" was beyond our expectations and imagination. When we connected in October as owner/renter soon changed to feeling like friend/family in February. We thank you for being instrumental in adding to our treasure trove of memories.

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had (of many)! I was looking for a cabin to spend a long weekend alone writing a book. This was the ideal place for it! It was the last weekend of March, which was off-season (for example, the lake was closed) and I don't know how noisy it would be in other months, but I was able to work in peaceful quiet throughout the house as well as on the deck, with the lovely creek in the back. I also didn't feel isolated (as a woman traveling alone) with other homes nearby and people playing golf and walking. The lake is right nearby -- you can see it at this time of year through the trees -- and I regularly walked to/around it. The resort and cabin seem like a fantastic spot for families with young kids and I hope to come back with my wife and toddler soon. The kitchen is well-stocked, there's a high-chair and games etc., main bedroom plus room with bunk beds, 2 full bathrooms, comfortable beds. Very clean. Brett is a great communicator. A+!

“Adirondack Haven” is truly a haven. Isolated just enough, yet near to many rail & hiking trails in Coopers Rock State Forest, Deep Creek, Herronton Manor, WVa Botanic Gardens and so much more. Michelle & Tony have created one of the best, most functional, attractive and welcoming respites. The view alone from the expansive back porch overlooking the hills in the near distance is amazing. What a charm to relax there on the porch swing in the early evening after a long day’s hike. The most comfortable king bed. Luxurious linens. Cozy living room & dining area. Jetted tub & massage-head shower. Trouble free wifi & tv reception. Great & truly fully stocked kitchen. Everything clean, clean & clean! Mostly it's personal, thoughtful & artistic touches that impressed us. They truly love what they do and so obviously strive to give their very best and the most to their guests. (Including cake & ice cream for my birthday). Can’t wait to return for some snow activities in the winter!
