Family-friendly vacation rentals in Popoyo

We have stayed in the general area before but this was the first time we stayed at Casa Tranquila. There was 7 of us saying there so it was spacious enough for all of us to still have our space. We loved the kitchen area and cooking in the kitchen with an amazing view was amazing. Having fans in each room, including the outdoor dining area made a difference when the heat was 90+. Communication with Laura and Vero was super easy and they provided resources of car rental and a chef that came in to cook for us. We were all very happy with the recommendations. I definitely recommend this beautiful and spacious home.

Wonderful place, with a spectacular view! The statue of Christ is super close to Malibu and the host was also super helpful in recommending local restaurants with a 20% discount :) They’re super attentive when it comes to any inquiries or maintenance questions. However, I will say that there were a lot of bugs outside so I recommend bringing repellent. Its location is not that inclined like most places in San Juan, so that was another upside to it. Great location, great staff, great place ❤️

We enjoyed our overnight stay! The apartment was roomy, clean, and comfortable! We would be happy to go back with more time to enjoy the surroundings and the lovely rooftop where there was space to relax.

Playa El Coco is a Beautiful private beach. The townhome was fantastic with enough space for our family. Great view of all the plants and the beach from the patio. The property is amazing. This is our 3rd time spending the last week of Dec at El Coco. They do a terrific job with maintenance. The beach is super close and you hear the waves crashing. We always enjoy walks around the beach. We also visited La Flor beach and had the chance to release sea turtles 🐢 into the ocean. The pool and gardens are kept pristine by the caretakers, We would definitely recommend Playa El Coco and James’ townhome. We will back next year

This place is amazing! Great location, Hacienda Iguana is incredible. Great condo with a view that cannot be beat. Jacq, the local host was amazing. Very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will be back!

This place checks all the boxes, which made for an epic trip with 5 of my good friends.

We had a great stay at Casa Buen Vivir. The house is beautiful and in an amazing setting. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch each morning drinking coffee and having breakfast together as a family. It rained quite a bit during our stay. It rained everyday but it didn’t rain all day. We still enjoyed the beach almost every day. It is about 5-10 minute walk to the beach and we saw very few other people on the beach which made it feel like our own private beach. We did travel in November which is shoulder season. We had read that the southern coast dries up this time of year even if there is still rain elsewhere in the country but this was not the case for us. We really enjoyed our stay regardless and can’t thank Till and Nelson enough for their support and guidance while we were there. We hope to return someday.

Tony & Anika are amazing hosts! The house is brand new, clean, spacious, private and has amazing amenities. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back. We loved the big front porch and the parking on the property. Tony and Anika were very hospitable and we plan on staying here again when we return to Playa Maderas in a few months!

Emeline's place was nothing short of amazing. From booking to check out, we had great support from Emeline, Carolina, Adonis, and all of the other people who make this area so special. We came towards the end of low season and it was amazing! The weather and waves were still great, but less crowded.... We loved being able to walk to several different surf spots from the property and how we could walk to several cafes, dogtown surf shop, and of course, dale pues market. Emeline's place is in the perfect area and you'll have so much fun exploring the area and looking for waves in the Santana and Poyopo area. Emeline also helped us arrange transfer from the airport, book a surf guide to explore more spots, and also connected us with a cook who came to the house a few days. I highly recommend this area and staying at Salty Surf when you're in Nica, we will be back soon! Gracias Emeline and Carolina!

Most affordable way to surf the awesome waves of Playa Colorados. Located next to a great pizza place and the bikes made getting around Iguana a breeze. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay at Casa Sueño Real was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we booked, the communication was clear, prompt, and friendly. Zach, our host, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even going to pick us up because the road was a little bit rough because of the rain. The property itself was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described—if not better. We appreciated a fully stocked kitchen and Wi-Fi. The view is beautiful. Speechless waking up to that view. What truly set this experience apart was Zach’s hospitality. They were always available to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure we felt at home. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests having a wonderful stay. Also his two employees were awesome in special Ricardo, he is above and beyond. I loved the place, it’s a beautiful house with a huge pool to spend the entire day in it, it’s very private and quiet if you want to disconnect from the city! Well recommended for big families!! Just be aware of rainy season because you’ll need an All-Terrain Vehicle with 4WD.

We had an absolutely amazing time. The house staff helped us but groceries and cooked two amazing breakfasts for us. I loved sleeping with the sound of the ocean and the swimming pool was beautiful. I absolutely would stay here again!
