Galiano Cabin Hideaway

Located on Galiano Island, British Columbia about a 10 minute drive from Sturdies Bay, this island hideaway is a lovely, "open concept" cabin high amongst the treetops. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with a young child that wants to escape from city life and relax in the quiet of the forest. There is one double bed, one sofabed, a dining space, a wood stove for heating along with baseboard heaters, a washer and a dryer, a complete kitchen and full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. There is parking space in front of the cabin for a maximum of two cars. With large windows, this cabin has a superb view that overlooks the lush Galiano forest and even further with ocean views to the mainland. There are two decks. One covered front deck with deck chairs and a hammock to lounge and look out over Galiano. The rear deck is nicely secluded with a hammock, small bistro table and propane barbecue. It is a 5 minute drive from the nearest beaches, food stores, and shops, and just a 10 minute drive to Montague Harbour Marina Beach and Campsite with moped, kayak, canoe, and boat rentals. There are a number of dining opportunities, cafes, and restaurants close by. This Galiano Cabin Hideaway is unparalleled. It is ideal for a couple seeking relaxation. With this break from the city, you will be snug within the forest and won't feel the need to be anywhere else! There is a 2 night minimum requirement.

If you wish to use the fire place ***bring your own firewood or it can be purchased at the Corner Store or Garage on the island. If power outages we will be there to bring you firewood. We are surrounded by the ocean with endless trails. Walk to the beach,Top of the World (15 minutes) or go for a hike on Mount Galiano. Perfect setting to reflect.

Everything was great. Such a private, beautiful, spacious, and tranquil unit. Everything was so clean and easy to use. Great location too and close to the stores. We enjoyed cooking our own meal and bbq grill was provided upon request. The fireplace was amazing and they gave us the firewood and the instructions on how to get the fireplace going. Great memories in this great place and we are thankful for such an amazing and unforgettable experience. Thank you Jamaica and Gord for your hospitality. We’re sure everyone will enjoy their time in this beautiful home away from home

This little cabin was perfect for our doggos while we were outside sitting around the fire. The portable restroom was very clean and we appreciated being able to wash our hands. The cabin was easy to lock and felt secure at night. The site is behind someone's home so it doesn't feel very private, but it's perfect for anyone new to camping.

We had a very pleasant experience in this cozy cabin. I read some speculative reviews (smell of dog pee etc...), but not actually true. The "fishy" smell comes out of furnace/hvac system under the stairs, that need some attention by the manager. The check-out time is at 10am, a bit too early if you wish to do some early activity or sleep a bit more, but it was not possible for whatever admin reason. Overall the cabin was clean (though we spotted some spider webs on the bedroom window) and well maintained. The outdoor space was clean with and cozy. Cancellation policy are not the best (no cancellation), though the price is quite reasonable. Definitely a good place to enjoy the island!

Staying at David’s cabin by the beach was a wonderful experience for me and my wife. Lummi island is a great spot for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The locals are extremely friendly, and the views are incredible. David’s cabin was clean, easy to find, and included everything you need for a comfortable stay!
