This immaculate 3BR + Loft Donner Lake home is appointed with cathedral ceilings and large picture windows. Walk across the street to the water to swim, kayak, paddle board or lounge on the dock! Great 4 season get away. Only 20 minutes to skiing at Squaw Valley, Northstar and Sugar Bowl.

Really enjoyed our stay in Schaffer's Mill. Centrally located, quick access to downtown Truckee, Northstar, and nearby grocery stores. Well appointed home that comfortably accommodated our 8 adults and 1 child. Plenty of communal space downstairs and rooms provided ample personal space. Hot tub was an added bonus.

Great modern home with 6 bedrooms, able to accommodate 12 guests! Chris was proactive with the check-in to ensure it worked with my arrival schedule and was responsive with all my messages. The home was well-equipped with your general necessities (kitchenware, appliances, etc.) and made our weekend getaway stress-free! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Our stay was fabulous! We had 3 families, with 5 kiddos, all at very active age and there was enough space for all. House was well stocked, comfortable and the bunk bed room was so fun and practicable. Jeannine was a great host, very welcoming and helpful through her communications! If visiting Truckee again, would definitely re-book in the future.

This cute little house was perfect for my friend and I. We were on a motorcycle tour through the Sierra’s. The location is great in Portola and within walking distance of some restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. All the amenities in the house worked good and it is nicely decorated making it feel very homey. I highly recommend checking this place out for your next trip to the area. Thanks for everything Vincent!

Charming house on the river short walk to downtown

My friends and I were spending a few days in Downieville for Mountain Biking. Evan’s place was perfect. It was close to the town and bike shop, and restaurants. It was easy to find and a binder with instructions for everything is inside the home. We neglected to read the parking instructions because they were buried a ways back in the binder. We parked in the wrong spot initially but then a neighbor told us we needed to move. I found the instructions and moved and then put the instructions closer to the front of the binder.

John is an exceptional host and his home is equally as lovely. We had plenty of linens, kitchenware and other home accessories to feel right at home and cook all our meals and be very comfortable. The hot tub is possibly the loveliest hot tub I have ever seen, period. We would book again hands down. Thank you, John.

The stay was wonderful - we felt right at home. Host contacted us proactively the day before with instructions, and was very responsive to feedback. The backyard was large and the kids really enjoyed tramping around in the snow. The house was clean, everything was quiet, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. There is a large foyer for drying snow gear, etc. Access to the garage also really helped us to be able to put on snow chains and store some ski gear. There were also sleds available for the kids to play in the snow, as well as shovels to help keep the driveway clear.
