Vacation rentals with a patio in Playa Negra

I think everything is brand new. Very clean, very tasteful in a beautifully landscaped walled in property. It is surrounded by banana plantations and we heard howler monkeys ( my favorite) every day.

A beautiful place, with many amenities in the kitchen and very careful with the cleanliness. We would come back many more times ❤️

The accommodation is very nice and quiet. It's actually as described. The place is relaxed, without noise and is very safe, away from the road to rest, although very easy to access just 100 meters from the main road. Super recommended. In my case, we went as a family and everything was perfect.

Paz helped make my trip perfect! Amazing location, in the heart of downtown and playa directly across the street. Personally checked me in and very responsive during my stay. For example, I had a problem with the hot water; Paz responded and resolved the issue within :30 minutes. Definitely recommend Paz location in Puerto Viejo!!

Amazing stay in a stunning location! 🌴✨ This place is in a perfect spot right by a beautiful black sand beach 🖤⛱️. Just a few minutes away from everything you need—restaurants, laundry, supermarkets, and of course, the ocean with surfboard rentals 🌊🏄. The accommodation itself is small and simply furnished, but has everything you could ask for. The little stove outside the door is super practical. The bedroom is tiny, just big enough for a bed, but the bed is very comfortable bed 🛏️. With two windows, it’s well-ventilated, and the mosquito nets throughout the house are amazing—not a single mosquito the entire stay! 🦟🙌 We loved the hammock outside and the large covered area in front of the house. It’s a bit dark since you can’t see the sky and the green privacy nets limit the view, but they also give good privacy from neighbors. This place is what I want when I think of off the grid vacation. It is an absolute Mecca for those who need to stare at the ocean and listen to the surf. We totally loved it. The hosts were a whole another level —unless we needed to ask for something they were invisible, but as soon as any small question needed answering Jamie would immediately provide most detailed info about anything at all, be it the sites, the weather, the activities. Having a knowledgeable local who happens to be a Texan made all the difference for Thea tourists. As someone with lots of travel experience in far away, off the grid places, I loved the style we were subjected to. The owners clearly done their homework before deciding to provide comfort and shelter for others. Experience is the best teacher and our hosts are hands down real pros. Thank you all! Anna, Maxim.

A super nice place, close to the main street but away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of nature around and very private and safe neighborhood. I was by car, the street is ballast but it is totally walkable. Jessy is super friendly and attentive, and makes you feel at home. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable.

My family and I had a great time. The Airbnb was really nice. Perfect for a day in the beach and then come back in the afternoon to swim in the pool and have fun in the living room with the board games. Also the nature surrounding the house is beautiful. There is a Sloth leaving in the trees around the house and showed up to us. We are so grateful for having available AC as well. In general, the house and Stefan’s hospitality made our stay a pleasant experience.

Super nice cottage. Lots of garden where the Agutis walk in the morning. With a place to grill. We were allowed to use the cocuscuts on the premises and the boss even opened some for us 👍

We needed a place last minute and Luciano and Tommaso’s place fit the bill perfectly. They were very responsive people who graciously kept our bags safely while we waited for check-in. The place itself is gorgeous, peaceful and private. The starry sky at night was an amazing experience. No issues from booking to checkout. Would definitely like to stay at their place again when I’m back. :)

We loved our stay at Jayr's place, it was exactly what we were looking for during our weekend getaway! I appreciated the clear instructions and the private pool... the privacy and lots of trees and bushes made it even more private and comfortable. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Puerto Viejo!

Excellent place, it is very central to know the beaches of the area, the attention from Adriana was very good, I recommend places and activities in the area, we will definitely return the place is very quiet.

After searching for several weeks for a place in Puerto Viejo area, I came across Villa Casa Azul and can't tell you how pleased we were. The communications after booking was prop and informative. Check in was easy, Adriana met us as we arrived and showed my wife around while I unloaded the car. Great location for us as we were visiting family and wanted a couple beach days. The apartment is spotless and has all the necessary equipment for you to prepare meals. If I am in the area again I will make an effort to stay here.

Beautiful and clean apartment, with great terrace. Very comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with good towels and the whole apartment equipped with fly screens. Comfortable loungers on the terrace. The location is great. Puerto Viejo and the great Playa Cocles within walking distance. Sophia lives at the front of the property, is very friendly and happy to help with any questions. Clear recommendation from us.

We had a wonderful time at Cinzia's place over Christmas and New Year's. The spectacular beach at Playa Chiquita is a 2 min walk away and you can walk in either direction for a series of beautiful coves and beaches. While only about 3 miles from Puerto Viejo, Playa Chiquita is peaceful and feels a world away from the bustle of Puerto Viejo. As a bonus, there are some phenomenal restaurants nearby - Gypsea and Mixta to name a couple. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It rained on a number of days, and we really appreciated the covered patio in the back and front. WiFi/Internet was fast and Adriana, the housekeeper, was always around and helpful when we needed something. We'll definitely go back when we visit this part of Costa Rica again!

We liked Mucho. The very quiet place Giacomo took care of us very well, very kind and helpful, it is very well located near the beaches and recreational places we would definitely return.

The casitas have what you need to spend a comfortable, pleasant and quiet stay. We liked the daily cloth change, trash collection and general establishment. It's very nice, has a lot of greenery around and cute kittens✨
