House vacation rentals in Playa Negra

Amazing location and such a serene place!! The hosts were super communicative and we’d definitely come back. The outside shower was a huge highlight!

We had such an amazing time at Sarah’s place! Very serene and less than 3 minute walk to the beach. There is so much to do in this area and rides to town are easy to coordinate with Banana Azul hotel just down the street (or you can rent bikes or drive). The Banana Azul hotel also has a great restaurant right on the beach. The bedroom villa has a wall air conditioner and fan above the bed, so it was very cool at night. It was so amazing to wake up to the monkeys and toucans every morning. Sarah also helped to arrange massages and an incredible meal by Chef David. I can’t say enough good things about our stay we’ll definitely be back.

Villa Julio was great. The property managers with Rise were very helpful and friendly. Especially Fabian, who greeted us on arrival. We had a wonderful time spotting wildlife from the deck every day. We saw and heard howler monkeys every day, spotted an iguana in the tree, as well as a sloth. We rented bikes for our time there and were able to get wherever we needed to go.

My family and I had a great time. The Airbnb was really nice. Perfect for a day in the beach and then come back in the afternoon to swim in the pool and have fun in the living room with the board games. Also the nature surrounding the house is beautiful. There is a Sloth leaving in the trees around the house and showed up to us. We are so grateful for having available AC as well. In general, the house and Stefan’s hospitality made our stay a pleasant experience.

First off- thank you Yordi for everything! Yordi was an amazing local host who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He was so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The service and care really made this already wonderful place outstanding. This place is amazing. Completely private and fenced in, private pool and great location. The place is beautifully and simply decorated, clean and comfortable. The outdoor space is just as beautiful and spacious as the indoor space. Walking to town and the national park took less than 15 minutes. The beds were comfortable and the living space is even more open and beautiful than in the photos. If you’re in the area and have the chance to book- snatch this up! You won’t regret it. Thanks again, Yordi!

Best vacation I ever had and Janet and this AirBnB played a big role in that. The house was SO spacious and airy and connected with the nature surroundings. I could have laid in the second floor hammock all day listening to the rainforest sounds and reading a book. If you’re new to this area, literally any restaurant you walk to will have the best food you’ve ever eaten in your life. Janet was so welcoming and accommodating and fun to talk to. If you want a big, open mansion of a house in the middle of the rainforest, this is heaven.

I was this weekend with my family at tulipan house and it was incredible🥰 we came to love the tranquility, the privacy everything was great the stay👌🏼Hagit super attentive and helped me a lot with check-in, we will be back soon!!! 🙌🏼

The place was amazing, we got to witness the birth of a baby sloth and it was amazing, spent hours looking at the new born sloth. The pool was nice and clean and the surroundings brings peace. 🦥🦥🦥

Highly recommend staying here. Megan Jo was extremely responsive, helpful, and friendly. They did everything the could to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. The studio was perfect for my needs - solo traveler working remote - good WiFi, AC, comfortable bed. They were super kind and accommodating allowing me to stow my luggage and park my rental car inside their gate. Would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Verde. It is in a really nice location for peace and quiet and relaxation. Annie was very kind and friendly to deal with. She is prompt at returning messages and is always looking to help. The beach and several adventures like the Cahuita National Park are all walking distance. The house is plenty big and has lots of character and charm. We stayed for a week and prepared most of our meals in the kitchen, which was well equipped with most needed items. The bed upstairs was very comfortable and the AC worked amazing. The hot water for showers was great as well. We loved just sitting on the front porch having a coffee and seeing the animals, and the friendly cats. We even had a troop of spider monkeys, and a howler monkey in the big tree in the front yard for several days. Also lots of sloth sightings just down the road by the beach. Lots of restaurants and a grocery store all within walking distance. Would recommend this to anyone looking.

Staying at Maria’s place in beautiful Puerto Viejo was the highlight of our first trip, and we did a lot while we were here! We saw tons of howler monkeys , sloths, birds , frogs, iguanas and geckos right from her place or within a very short walking distance. The home is a traditional home that makes you feel comfortable and the close proximity to the ocean gives you a chance to truly experience and embrace the relaxed lifestyle of puerto Viejo . We had a great stay at the River Dream House. We loved staying in the rainforest, very close to a beautiful beach (10 min walk on a private path). The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The free laundry service was also appreciated! The house is a short distance from the Jaguar Rescue center and ARA Manzanillo, we loved visiting both.

Too well to get away from the dams of Puerto Viejo, well-equipped house, strategic location for shopping on the Panama border and its turn to enjoy Puerto Viejo.

Excellent communication, clear details. We had issues with the wifi but it was quickly fixed. The private place, very cozy, comfortable, equipped, highly recommended

I highly recommend this Airbnb little house! It is a great location, a little less than a 10 minute drive to Puerto Viejo and very close to other beaches like Punta Uva. It is very private space, the air conditioning works great and best of all Jeanna was very responsive and helpful before and during a time at the Airbnb.

This place was stunning! Just a real jungle dream! To be awakened by the howler monkeys in the morning and fall asleep in the evening by the jungle sounds... you must have experienced that! We immediately felt comfortable and didn't want to travel any further;-) It was really nice and cozy!

Exeptional house. Quick response to all our questions. Very clean and very beautiful. Just like the pictures. Beautiful pool, very nice kitchen to make our meals, drinking water and away from other houses. Little hidden paradise. It was perfect for us. There were 7 of us. We were woken up the first morning by the howler monkeys. They stayed all day in the trees around the house:-) Very nice show. We also saw hummingbirds looted in the flowers around the house. The greenery around the house was exceptional. Banana trees, papayers, birds of paradise , really very beautiful. Located between the two parks of Cahuita and Manzanillo. Great location. Do not miss the path to Cahuita with the 2 km walkways named Puerto Vargas. In short, there were 7 of us in the house, my husband and 2 children, my 2 parents and my brother. The house was perfect for us. I highly recommend you.

We really loved the layout of the space being so connected with the nature, and we would come again fur sure..it was one of the most beautiful airbnb’s I’ve ever visited..conveniently located near Playa Uva and plenty good places to eat. As mentioned in other reviews, being immersed in jungle with no closed walls also means howler monkeys alarm at 5am and other fun encounters. We laughed at it and didn’t mind. The only thing that could make our time easier would be a washer/dryer, since beach wear and towels were not drying well in humid shade of the house. Otherwise we did not miss A/C at all and enjoyed our stay💚

Amazing place, the kitchen was fully equipped, all the property including the pool was clean. The Communication was Very Good And We Were Very Happy With Our Stay we really want to go back soon.

We had a very good time in the accommodation! The house is beautiful and large, the garden is also great and there are a lot of animals to watch. Playa Cocles beach is 30m away, just cross the road once. It is fantastic and you can walk very far along. Puerto Viejo is about 10 minutes away by car, there are Uber, taxis and tuk tuks. You can also borrow bikes, which is also great for enjoying the landscape. The road is a bit noisy, but it doesn't bother you. At night, there are also hardly any cars. Ana, the housekeeper lives next door and is very nice and always helpful. She also made us a bowl of fruit as a welcome gift - that was very good! We really recommend the place, especially if you're traveling with larger groups!

We had a great time in the beautiful house of Susana. Our kids enjoyed the large pool with the water fall, the large amount of toys and watching the Cherengas and howler monkeys. The house is equipped with everything needed, there is a key for a private path to the beach and we would definitley come again. Thanks Susana for hosting us!
