We loved our stay at Tucán Escondido! Amazing setting, comfortable and spacious home for a small group. Great space for a small group or family in a serene setting but close to the attractions of Puerto Viejo.

Amazing location and such a serene place!! The hosts were super communicative and we’d definitely come back. The outside shower was a huge highlight!

Villa Julio was great. The property managers with Rise were very helpful and friendly. Especially Fabian, who greeted us on arrival. We had a wonderful time spotting wildlife from the deck every day. We saw and heard howler monkeys every day, spotted an iguana in the tree, as well as a sloth. We rented bikes for our time there and were able to get wherever we needed to go.

Beautiful place. Satisfactory experience and Stefan was always very attentive and helpful. Highly recommended.

GREAT house!!! Huge, open spaces. Beautiful exterior with lush landscaping and a great pool. Perfect house with a lot of character. Big kitchen, perfect to host dinner for a large group and with all the things you need to cook. Overall fantastic experience! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. And Mariana is the best host! Easy to communicate with, very flexible with requests, and she put this together for our group on short notice!

It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy, many attractions nearby and the beautiful house.

Great location, convenient to Cahuita & Puerto Viejo. Great value for a whole house with a private pool and beautiful outdoor living space. We watched capuchins playing above the backyard and a toucan perched above the house one morning and we heard howler monkeys, as well. Check in was a little tricky because you have to meet the manager, Yordi, at the home for check-in, but he was very responsive to texts and was good to work with. The home had everything we needed. Water pressure was very poor in the master shower, but was great in the 2nd bath, so we just used that one. We loved the European style bedding. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Our stay was perfect. Love all the nature surrounding the house. Had a night hike with Omar. Worth every penny! Saw Bio-illuminates glowing in the ocean. What a treat. The ocean was to rough during our stay for fishing or snorkeling but made for excellent surfing. We watched the surfers with amazement. Many excellent restaurants close by. Enjoyed the Jaguar rescue center and a trip to see the Greater Green Macaws. We also hiked to some waterfalls and a botanical farm where he served us some fresh and very unique fruits! Also took trips to Puerto Viejo and the Black beach. Loved this part of Costa Rica.

Highly recommend staying here. Megan Jo was extremely responsive, helpful, and friendly. They did everything the could to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. The studio was perfect for my needs - solo traveler working remote - good WiFi, AC, comfortable bed. They were super kind and accommodating allowing me to stow my luggage and park my rental car inside their gate. Would stay here again.

Annie was great! The place was beautiful! The beach is just across the road and there is a really nice bar/restaurant around the corner too, so location is fab! Annie also recommended tours and guides for horse riding and the park. Great host!! ☺️☺️

Maria is a great and sweet host. The garden is beautiful and well looked after. The place is safe and has a gate. The kitchen was very well provided with daily necessities like tea, coffee, honey, olive oil, herbs etc. The location was perfect for us, away from the noice from the town, and when you cross the road you’re on the nature path along the sea going to beautiful and fun Cocles beach within 5 minutes.

Lovely home a minute walk from Punta Uva Beach. You can hear the waves from the front porch. The A/C works very well, comfortable beds, and nice towels. Very inviting.

We had a great stay at the River Dream House. We loved staying in the rainforest, very close to a beautiful beach (10 min walk on a private path). The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The free laundry service was also appreciated! The house is a short distance from the Jaguar Rescue center and ARA Manzanillo, we loved visiting both.

The place is beautiful, spacious, full of trees and has a ranch to spend a cool and pleasant time. The house is beautiful, with nice rustic finishes, and is well-equipped. Luis always answers questions. I would definitely go back.

Great place to stay in the countryside with a quiet location! The beach is within walking distance (about km), as well as various shops and restaurants (about 500 m)

We had an amazing stay at the Tiny House! Surrounded by nature, just as we imagined it. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Exeptional house. Quick response to all our questions. Very clean and very beautiful. Just like the pictures. Beautiful pool, very nice kitchen to make our meals, drinking water and away from other houses. Little hidden paradise. It was perfect for us. There were 7 of us. We were woken up the first morning by the howler monkeys. They stayed all day in the trees around the house:-) Very nice show. We also saw hummingbirds looted in the flowers around the house. The greenery around the house was exceptional. Banana trees, papayers, birds of paradise , really very beautiful. Located between the two parks of Cahuita and Manzanillo. Great location. Do not miss the path to Cahuita with the 2 km walkways named Puerto Vargas. In short, there were 7 of us in the house, my husband and 2 children, my 2 parents and my brother. The house was perfect for us. I highly recommend you.

We had a great time in the beautiful house of Susana. Our kids enjoyed the large pool with the water fall, the large amount of toys and watching the Cherengas and howler monkeys. The house is equipped with everything needed, there is a key for a private path to the beach and we would definitley come again. Thanks Susana for hosting us!

Aracelly was an amazing host. We loved that the place was so quiet yet walkable to Playa Negra and the center of Puerto Viejo. We also appreciated the king size bed, air conditioning, and Aracelly’s adorable dog Dulce.
