Vacation rentals in Playa Mermejita

My partner and I stayed at La Morada for 5 nights. The room was even better in person. It’s a great place to stay if you want to be away from all of the busier surrounding beaches. It’s private and quite yet still just a 15 min walk from shops and restaurants. The kitchen is fully stocked, we brought groceries and were able to cook comfortably in the room so that we could fully enjoy the space. The pool is beautiful and comfortable. There is also a pool on the roof that is very comfortable with beautiful views. There is a stairway at the location that leads you to a path directly to the beach, it’s about a 10 minute walk. Our host was very helpful and responsive. Honestly a great place to go and relax. The bed was comfortable, the shower has hot water and great water pressure.

We enjoyed our time there. Sonia the caretaker was very nice and attentive .

We spent two weeks here and would be lucky to come back. Magical location, sweeping views, beach access, and convenient to San Augustinillo, Mazunte, and Zipo. Not to mention Irma, the house keeper, who is sweet and attentive. A special thanks to Kali, the kindhearted, gracious and communicative host.

Ewen is a great host! Always responsive and provided answers to all the questions we asked. He never made us feel like we were bothering him. The location of this beautiful villa is quiet and peaceful. The only sounds you hear are the ocean waves and the birds during the day and the crickets at night. A true getaway from the noise of the city! If you’re looking to party and/or walk into town this is not the place for you. It is a difficult/bumpy road into the property but Ewen’s clear instructions made it easy to find. May I suggest you rent an SUV or similar because you’ll def. be off-roading. That’s the only negative of this paradisiacal place but it’s also a positive because you don’t ever get bothered by traffic noises! The pool is amazing (pool toys included!) and the air-conditioning in the home was an appreciated luxury. The views are breathtaking from almost every room, the kitchen has everything necessary, and I cannot wait to return! Highly recommended.

If you enjoy sunrises and sunsets this is the place. The staff and residents of this building were great and all offered great advice on things to do. Marcelo was very responsive to any questions that we had. We did not bring a car so we walked and or took a taxi everywhere. There is a bit of a hill to get to the condo but as walkers we did not mind this. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate recommending Marcelo's place. Dean

Rustic, peaceful, bright and beautiful. What more can we say? Centro Sati/ Salchi met our expectations! the space was we’ll appointed, surrounded by greenery and bright. We woke up to bird song, beautiful sunrises and crashing waves off in the distance. The days were hot and we appreciated the fan, A/C and solar blinds that kept the space cool, without sacrificing all the beautiful light! The beach is a 10 min walk away in both directions, amenities in the area are quite minimal, so be prepared to cook some meals.The kitchen is modestly supplied to suit simple cooking. We enjoyed dining amidst the sunset. Arturo was kind and attentive, thanks for hosting us!

Jorge’s place was just what we needed to wind up our trip in Mexico. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, yet still close enough that we could walk into town to enjoy all the fun of Zipolite. It might not be the best place if you have mobility issues as there are a number of stairs to get into town, but otherwise I would highly recommend.

The view is stunning! Every morning waking up to the sunrise over the ocean was a beautiful way to start each day. The house is spacious and thoughtfully decorated. The home felt very private. We cooked quite a few meals in the kitchen and found it well equipped with everything you need. The pool is very clean and has a view that can't be beat.  Marilu is outstanding! She is the most responsive host we have ever worked with and is always ready to help. Fer is wonderful and was super helpful with anything we needed. We absolutely plan to return! Lastly, the town of Puerto Angel is lovely. Over the two weeks we stayed, we had a chance to explore many towns up and down the coast and found Puerto Angel to have some of the best food and the most kind people. Recommendations: For late night tacos check out Taqueria Marey. The best playa for snorkeling is Estacahuite. If you are there, do yourself a favor and order the fish tacos from Lilly's place, Resturante El Ripio.

A fun, local set of beaches with snorkeling, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking at the ready. Whales nearby if you want to rent a boat to go see them, or just relax on any of the 3 beaches right out front. Each has a small place to grab a bite, have a drink and sit under umbrellas or shade. There are small stores to buy cervezas, snacks and basic groceries(beans, eggs, rice and tortillas). Casa Calypso apartments are so bright and modern with classic Mexican touches. They each have a hammock on their own small patios and chairs to relax in. Comfortable beds, screened windows and fans make for great sleeping. The surrounding gardens are lovely and the hosts are great, ask for fresh aloe vera for after sun care…

Amazing place to stay, very special. We will def be back. Incredible view. Amazing birds. Great to have secure parking. Very peaceful. The pool was a treat!

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotless and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. From the well-equipped amenities to the thoughtful touches, it truly felt like a home away from home. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. We chose to cook ourselves rather than eat out. Our place had a full kitchen so we stocked up on food. We did try a couple of restaurants to support local but they were just ok. The location was absolutely perfect—better than we even expected! The view was better than the pics posted too. IF you rent a car, just know that the location is bumpy and steep. If not, you can rent a taxi. Our only problem was the cost for the taxi was twice as much when they called someone for you and different every time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend staying here. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent accommodation, it feels incredible peace in place, the cabin has everything you need and they were always very friendly in everything we needed. The view is breathtaking and at night you can hear the sound of the ocean.
