Vacation rentals with beach access in Playa Maderas

Amazing apartment in the jungle! Clean and comfortable, with stunning views. Tim was a wonderful host, super welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

You can’t get any closer to the waves of Playa Maderas! 100 meter walk (no hill) to the surf beach, and to 3 restaurants located there on the beach. We loved our stay here! Gaby is an outstanding host. The fans provided in the room are high quality and there are screens on the windows. We did not need AC here in December. Comfy bed, nice sheets and great rocking chairs! Purified water provided. Awesome place to stay for surfing and the patio feels private, surrounded by trees! Gaby & Manuel can connect you with surfboard rentals.

Armando was an amazing host. All questions were dealt with in a timely manner. What a fabulous location and San Juan del Sur is a hidden gem!

We loved this place. it's a quick walk to the beach to surf. It's a 10 or so minute walk to restaurants and the grocery store. Groceries are super expensive here, so make sure to stock up outside of Hacienda Iguana! Filtered water is very appreciated. Had amenities like salt, and left coffee and sugar as an extra nice touch. Had bath and beach towels, a place to store surf boards, nice shampoo and conditioner. There was a great outdoor shower. The house is behind the main house, so make sure you follow the photos in the instructions when you are finding it!

Amazing place to stay a few blocks outside of the main part of the port of you want slightly more quiet but want to still be able to easily walk to everything! Loved my stay here

Beautiful apartment with everything we needed. Carmen the property manager was so helpful and responsive which made it a great experience. Town is walkable (15 min) but you do have to cross the river (either by boat or walking if it’s low tide). I would definitely stay here again!

Alexandra’s place is so worth it! Its very clean, has AC and hot water. So private, You will not be disappointed. Looks just like the pictures and better. kitchen has everything you need to cook and have morning coffee. The views are stunning! We watched beautiful sunsets and a lightening storm from the deck on our last night. Fell asleep to sounds of the jungle and woke up to the roar of the monkeys’s chatter. Alexandra was quick to respond to all our needs. The walk to the beach was less than 10 min, and so refreshing . 3 Hermanos restaurant just on the beach was fun and the people so nice! Transport to San Juan del sur is really easy from playa maderas. There is a shuttle that runs from 8am- til just after sunset. Round trip is $4/pp and $2 one way. Great option if you just want to day shop, get groceries or eat at some fun local restaurants. Thank you so much Alexandra for sharing your home with adventurous travelers. You will burn some calories climbing home but worth it! ?

We were rained out by tropical storm Sara and ended up having to head to Costa Rica early and Freek was great about it. This was totally due to weather and he was kind enough to help us out by giving us some cash back. Wilbert at the front desk helped arranged our rides and was a great person all around. The place is a perfect beach spot. Secluded and exactly what we wanted but tropical storm Sara decided to be a pain in the @$$. We definitely want to come back and try again next year!

The home and location were perfect. Agata was able to help with all of our questions and requests. She was super friendly and helpful. We felt so welcomed and right at home. Can’t wait to go back!

Wow. What a find!!! This is such an amazing house. We were a party of grandparents, parents and 2 children (2 and 4 years). The house was perfect for our needs. The beach is incredible. So calm and clean. From the house balcony we were able to observe our kids on the beach (with some big kids they befriended). There were turtle eggs about to hatch (January 2025) but they weren’t quite ready while we were there. We took a lovely horse ride over to Amarillo beach which was just as spectacular and with surfing. The 4 year old was able to sit on the horse for it and the 2 year old had a ride for a few minutes on our beach. The restaurant served amazing food, cocktails and smoothies. Was pricey for Nicaragua, but as expected for a private resort. Staff were so lovely. We felt entirely safe here. I will absolutely return here, in a heart beat!!

The VIEW. Just wow, the view cannot be beat. The house was great, the common area was huge for our large family. Each bedroom had a bathroom which was a huge plus. No need for 4x4 to get it the house, however the last road on the block where the house is located is very steep, FYI. We made up with a Yaris but I would have preferred to have something bigger for driving around this town.

Casa Tora is a good option for a family group who want to enjoy the natural beauty of Playa El Coco. The house offers the amenities you need to have a good stay. Highly recommended option.

We love Iguana and Michelle’s place was great. New house, very comfortable, everything worked. Rooms were good size, beds were very good and windows had blackout unlike a lot of Airbnbs I’ve been to. I only have good things to say about Michelle and her house. If I had one recommendation to give, i would be to have air conditioning in the kitchen/dinning/living room area. The house has glass windows and doors but it gets too hot sometimes. Would rent again and would definitively recommend.

Such a wonderful stay at Casa Margarita! Donna, Alma and Yader were all very friendly and responsive to all of our needs. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

It’s a great location just out of town. easy to get a taxi, rent a car or motorcycle. Very responsive host. Ac in bedrooms and living room, which was nice and the pool was well taking care of and great to meet people and relax. A washer is available for a small fee which is a bonus. There is a pickleball court at the condos and there was construction going on but only until 5 pm. Neighbours were all friendly and a lot of long term stays. You do pay for washer use and electricity separately. I would stay again.

We had an amazing stay! The place was stunning, with breathtaking views and a fantastic pool. The host was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us organize everything we needed. The place was spotless and well-maintained. Highly recommend this place for a perfect getaway!

We loved our stay here! There is nothing bad about it. Beautiful views, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable living areas. Beds are firm, which was fine. Pool was lovely! Marisol was so kind and cleaned several times during our stay, she did an excellent job. Pili’s restaurant was basically next door. I would stay here again and recommend to others!

This is the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The place is BEAUTIFUL! Two stories with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and 3 balconies. Absolutely spotless and the decor is amazing. We were met at the correct time and also they provided two big gallons of water for our stay which was nice. 20 or so minute walk into central SJDS if you take the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, clean, great location, safe, and Jessica is wonderful. I just think it’s super expensive for Nicaragua. I had a situation where another place was cancelled and I booked it from my taxi who was waiting, I was rushing not to let the taxi go and I overlooked the high price. That being said, Jessica responded right away and within minutes she showed up to welcome me. I left my luggage there until check in time.

Uri was a huge help, great manager. Always got us what we needed then and there. Juan Pablo was great as well, always answered any questions immediately and made our stay super easy. Nice kitchen and everything you need for a long term stay. Walking distance to the beach, both grocery stores and Dog Town. Already planning our next trip back!
