Beachfront vacation rentals in Playa El Coco

Timothy and Mary were amazing hosts! They were really friendly and answered any questions we had and gave us recommendations about the area. The place is really peaceful and private and has a private path to the beach in which we saw lots of birds! Definitely coming back, plus their 3 pups are super nice and greeted us every time we came back from the beach :)

This house is great for families or multiple people traveling for a retreat. It has great space. The views overall (there are multiples) are amazing. The view from the deck is simply magical, the most magical. It is hard to capture the feeling you get when you see the view from the main deck in person. You will be relaxed and transported to a magical place the minute you walk in. My family of 8 (plus 3 who stayed nearby) spent a glorious 4 days. The host recommended Conchita, the cook who arrived at 7:00 am everyday. OMG she was the best cook. Simple meals with great flavors every day. She was a life saver. There are no restaurants nearby (only a very expensive and limited restaurant by Aqua). We were spoiled with Conchita’s food. Felix, the caretaker gets 5 starts. He was 100 percent responsive and a hard worker. Our host was too. She was responsive immediately with all of our questions. We are grateful she shared her beautiful home with us. It is truly a special place. Bring games.

Amazing place to stay a few blocks outside of the main part of the port of you want slightly more quiet but want to still be able to easily walk to everything! Loved my stay here

Enjoyed our 5-night stay! The location is great, very close to the beach and nice shops. Maria was not present on the premises, but still gave us great recommendations.

We had an amazing vacation and felt in paradise. Ideal for couples looking for a bice peaceful place to stay and if you surf, location is in between popoyo and santana. The outdoor area is beautiful and you are right on the beach. Bella treated us as friends and was always available and willing to go the extra mile. We will be coming back

Amazing spot, away from the most touristy places but close to the beach bars that most people want to go to for the sunset. Best view on the island! Great local recommendation and coordination with guides for hiking and kayaking (kayaking starts from your garden!) WiFi worked well too! Only thing you need to keep in mind: you need to rent a scooter/motorbike to get around (true for the entire island not just this place, but especially this place).

Our stay at The Beach House was absolutely perfect. We cooked every dinner at home and The kitchen had more items than my own kitchen!!! Often, Airnb's have few dish towels and bathroom towels.. not the case here! Yay! The air conditioning worked great! Hot water too! The pool was sparkly clean. Sophie was quick to respond, and very friendly and accommodating from the time I booked to check out. She even let us know about local ceviche and coconuts!! I think the biggest compliment to an Airnb is if I would stay there again and I would say yes definitely!

three friends stayed at the start of December as part of a 15 day trip round Nicaragua and as all the other places were hotels we fancied our own space. Casa Colibri is wonderful, seems larger than the photos and loads of space, 3big double bedrooms, all ensuite, fans and AC. we rarely used this. the living room is a great size, comfortable and overlooks the pool. there was a coffee machine and coffee provided which was a nice touch. the pool was cleaned daily. so loved the house. Mary Jane the host is fantastic. quick responses, helpful, good eating recommendations and knew about transport to local beaches. she met us when we arrived and showed us round which we found helpful. any queries we had were instantly replied to. felt this was a lovely oasis. security guard at front and locked gates. we had no issues with safety in Nicaragua so the security was just comforting. it is so close to good eating places, bars, shops, market & beach. we loved our stay and Mary Jane is a fab host.

Place is beautiful! Karin, and Leonel were amazing. The road heading to the house is rough so drive careful and then it is a very inclined drive up hill. Overall staying here every time I come, very peaceful!

This house is amazing! The living room with floor to ceiling windows, the open kitchen, and wrap around deck blended together perfectly. Gorgeous place that will have anything you need, and want. You should stay here

We spent 5 fabulous days staying at Jessica’s apartments. It was completely perfect in every way. The position of the accommodation was superb. SJDS can be quite lively in the evening which is great for dinner and partying but not so great if you want to get a good nights sleep. Jessica’s home is the best of both worlds. Less than 5 minutes walk from the sea but super peaceful, and very relaxing. The apartment itself is thoughtfully designed with large sliding doors on to a balcony. This means the room never gets too hot. There is aircon but in 5 days we didn’t need to use it. Just opened the doors for the sea breeze and turned the fan on for a very comfortable sleep. The bathroom was spotless with a big shower and hot water. The kitchen area was well equipped for those who like to self cater (we just used the coffee machine ) the nearby restaurants were fabulous . Jessica is an awesome human. So kind, friendly and calm. She made our stay wonderful from start to finish.

Ken's place is a comfortable home away from home. The condo has everything you need for a few days or a few weeks. We were especially happy to have screened in windows (not a guarantee in this part of the world) and great fans that reduce the need for A/C. (the A/C was excellent when needed) The complex is quiet and secure and onsite staff were friendly and helpful. No hesitation renting here again, we were very happy and comfortable!

Everything was great! Jennifer was very attentive to my messages ! The kitchen needs a little more equipment.

Couldn't expect for more at this dream beach front location. I had the best time with this beach front property. Photos simply don't show how beautiful and peaceful it si. Big thanks to Dominic for great advices to enjoy the best Popoyo has to offer.

Casa horizon is THE best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Amazing people surrounding the house and community with a perfect beach and a beautiful wooden house. The balcony is amazing and the rooms are perfect to accommodate

We felt super welcomed at Linda’s place gifted with fresh eggs and coconut - she helped us to organise transportation, guides for hiking etc. With the scooter you can reach everything from Linda’s home. The dogs were super sweet and in the kitchen you can find everything you need. A supermarket is directly next to Linda’s place. The only thing that bothered us a little bit was that it was super windy so it was not really relaxing to hang out in the garden and during the night you maybe need oropax to sleep better. Maybe it’s also that time of the year that is more windy - overall we would recommend Linda’s place to everybody visiting Ometepe!!

We had a fantastic time at Martin’s beautiful beach front paradise in Popoyo. Martin is a lovely and very accomodating host helping to arrange a scooter, tips on what to do in town and being very responsive for whatever we needed. The property has everything you need for your stay and more. The location is perfect as it backs directly on to the beach with supermarkets, restaurants, board rental, etc all within 5 minute walking distance. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!! Very comfortable house, second row from the beach. The pool was a super plus. Miriam and Ronald were always around to help you with anything. Very pleasant stay. Thank you!

Alexandra’s place is so worth it! Its very clean, has AC and hot water. So private, You will not be disappointed. Looks just like the pictures and better. kitchen has everything you need to cook and have morning coffee. The views are stunning! We watched beautiful sunsets and a lightening storm from the deck on our last night. Fell asleep to sounds of the jungle and woke up to the roar of the monkeys’s chatter. Alexandra was quick to respond to all our needs. The walk to the beach was less than 10 min, and so refreshing . 3 Hermanos restaurant just on the beach was fun and the people so nice! Transport to San Juan del sur is really easy from playa maderas. There is a shuttle that runs from 8am- til just after sunset. Round trip is $4/pp and $2 one way. Great option if you just want to day shop, get groceries or eat at some fun local restaurants. Thank you so much Alexandra for sharing your home with adventurous travelers. You will burn some calories climbing home but worth it! ?

Carolina’s beach home is in the most beautiful spot, and was such a perfect beach escape for our family. The beach is stunning and most of the time it felt like we had it to ourselves. It was so nice to have the option to walk to the hotel for dinner, which was amazing. We never felt too hot since there is amazing shade around the house and gazebo, perfect for kids. Carolina was the most attentive and hospitable host you could imagine! Thank you so much Carolina, we hope to come back again one day !
