Vacation rentals in Playa Chiquita

We have an extraordinary weekend! The place is spectacular … we were 3 families with children and it is highly recommended ! Both houses are very well equipped! Jose and his brother's treatment was excellent ! We felt so spoiled !

We have lived in Panama for 3 years and never been to the Caribbean, Martina’s apartment was a perfect getaway. The beaches were beautiful and we were able to rent a cabana on the beach and bbq. The kids loved riding bikes around the complex and spent hours on the inflatable playground in the sea. The apartment was comfortable and very clean the kitchen was well equipped and the bbq was great. I had a very relaxing and fun vacation, I would totally come back next time.

The place is quite nice, everything is clean and is a good option to disconnect for a few days.

The view was unmatched, the AC worked well, and Jesus the property manager was helpful and pleasant. There were some things about the property that need attention. The grounds are beautiful, but we repeatedly stepped in dog poop. The furniture smelled musty, in part because there is no split AC unit in the living room. The stay would have been more comfortable if there were multiple hooks. There was no hot water for any part of our stay. We boiled water on the stove for our showers. The host apologized for this - it had something to do with the water being too low for a pump. It would be helpful if there was a drain or highly absorbent mat at the door so everything wasn’t always wet. I’d also recommend a larger trash bin in the bathroom. Jesus, the property manager coordinated water taxi for us to isla mamey and isla grande - they were so fun! The property had water shoes for guests to use and the space was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped. The host recommended good restaurants.

Stayed for 3 days at Isabel and Timothy’s stunning villa , just outside Portobelo. We were there as a a family of 4 , with our two twenty something sons. We had a ball. The villa is private and beautifully located - with an amazing view over the water. The pool was great and the decor - both inside and out, is very stylish and feels like home. Luis, the super friendly housekeeper was nearby if we needed anything, and twice appeared with fresh coconut for us all. He also recommended the Black Zambombo restaurant a short drive away - which we loved. The food there was delicious, as was Yaneth’s breakfast every morning. Portobelo has a fascinating history, especially for a Brit, and we really enjoyed our time. Highly recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Isabel and Timothy’s villa and in Portobelo.

Maria was very accommodating. She would immediately respond when I had a question. The place was super clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
