Lovely cottage, very thoughtful extras to make us welcome (awesome lemon drizzle cake!) Lots of maps and leaflets about local places worth visiting. Beautiful place to walk the dogs. Very friendly pub just down the road. Very enjoyable stay, thank you ☺️

What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

Really enjoyed the stay in Hawes. Lovely spot within easy walking distance of the village. The cottage was spacious and clean with everything we needed. The countryside around is unbeatable - we did a couple of great walks. Would recommend without hesitation.

Beautiful seaside apartment. Great base to explore the area. Host was very communicative about check in. The welcome book on arrival was a great help for the local area. The apartment was spotless and had a great set up. Especially liked the small selection of games for entertainment. Will definitely stay here again if available when visiting the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.

We stayed here for a family get together, there was 16 of us, but it felt like there was plenty of space and lots to do in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfy and the hot tub was lovely after a day of walking. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay in the cosy Shepards hut. Pauline sent some brilliant instructions to help us find it. Pauline and Bill were so friendly and even often to bring out a baby bath for our 6month old for us to use during our stay. The Shepards hut was peaceful, clean and cosy! we struggled to get out of bed in the mornings... it was that comfy! Myself and my partner, dog and daughter went on lots of walks. We also enjoyed eating out in dog friendly restaurants. We would definitely recommend the cosy hut! We hope to return at some point.

A beautiful cottage in a great location! The hosts have done a wonderful job with the house, and it shows even in the smallest of details, from dog treats through to a guest book full of recommendations on the what to do in the area, including dog walk suggestions. We loved our stay!

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Pete’s cabin. It was lovely and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Pete was always on hand to help re heat the hot tub. The fresh eggs from the hens were a great addition and were very tasty! Overall it was an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pete’s cabin to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful get away!
