Cottage vacation rentals in Petaluma

My fiancé and I love coming to Guerneville -this has been our favorite stay so far! The place was immaculate, so cozy and peaceful. The hot tub made the rainy weekend even more magical! Our two pups felt right at home as well. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway!!

This place was a dream for a tranquil, disconnected weekend. We brought a hot plate in addition to the one provided and enjoyed multiple meals in the kitchen. We highly enjoyed the sauna, hot/cold tub and outdoor shower. Despite the rain and chilly weather, this was still a relaxing environment. Of note— there are many stairs to get to the wine lodge. Be cognizant of the weight of your bags and personal items. In addition, we brought our ~50 lb very active dog who had difficulty maneuvering the steep, alternating stairs in the home. This may be easier for people who can carry their smaller dogs up/down. The lodge was cozy and quiet — a quick 15 mins from town and ~20 ish from the beach! Highly recommend.

Charming and in a perfect little neighborhood in Santa Rosa. We particularly loved walking up to Pacific Market, Cuppa Coffee and Sandy’s Take and Bake on the daily for all our needs. Thanksgiving dinner was a pleasure to cook in the chefs Kitchen. Cheryl was an amazing host, aka communicator. Appreciate you sharing your place and for welcoming us.

Lynn’s place was perfect! The pics and description matched perfectly. The outside area was outstanding! Great firepit, nice patio with a grill, cool outdoor lighting. The private hot tub was awesome! After being gone all day exploring, hiking and hitting a few wineries the hot tub was a fantastic reprieve. Will definitely stay here next time we are back in the area. Thanks Lynn!

The cottages at the Cottage Grove Inn are perfect if you're looking for quiet and peaceful getaway in Calistoga without spending an arm and a leg! Super quaint and very clean. I am so glad that we found the cottages for our quick couples getaway weekend - it was perfect! Check in and check out were contactless, but Ellen, called before our arrival to make sure that we had all the information we needed before we got there. When we opened the door, there was some lovely music playing and the lights were on. Very welcoming environment that we settled into easily. The location is central and we were able to walk to almost all of our destinations. I cannot recommend this place enough - we are looking forward to returning soon!

This is our second time staying here and it was wonderful again. The property is beautiful and the house is very clean and well stocked. Thank you and we hope to return next year!

Beautiful and peaceful cottage on the river! Everything was just as pictured, with warm designer touches. The hot tub was wonderfully clean, and the linens were crisp and fresh. Second (outdoor) bathroom and shower downstairs was a great surprise. Fireplace was lovely. A really well managed property in a unique location. Try ziplining, or an in-house massage :). Loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We loved staying at this cabin! It was so quaint and the scenery was gorgeous. It felt like you were a hundred miles away from civilization but you’re only a 6 minute drive from downtown Petaluma, making it possible to both stargaze in the hot tub and have dinner at a really nice seafood restaurant in town all in the same night. My one suggestion for the earlier months of the year is to pack warm clothes. The cabin has a heated bed but it itself is not heated so just be prepared. There is a cute living room/powder room that you have access to that is heated which is nice if you’re getting ready or just want to warm up some. Overall, a great stay! The host was so welcoming and provided tea and bread each morning, making it feel like a real bed and breakfast!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Linda’s place and it was perfect. It’s super close to Harbin Hotsprings. The bed is big and comfy. The heater and fireplace worked well. The kitchen was spacious and fairly easy to cook in. Lots of lighting options with all the windows and lamps. Definitely will come back!

My spouse, parents, and I were looking for a quiet, last minute local getaway for NYE. I saw Diana’s listing and it looked perfect for a mini weekend. I highly recommend the space; it’s as advertised, easy to find, and very cute as well as clean. It felt like home away from home, which is something I always take into account. Plenty of space for 6 people. There’s also a nice, private back space you can hang out in. I would definitely stay again or recommend to friends and family that would like to experience Alameda. There’s no cleaning up needed when you check out so that’s a bonus too! Thank you again to Diana, what a wonderful and responsive host :))!

This unit was perfect for a weekend getaway to Glen Ellen/Sonoma area. Location is great and with a short drive down the road, we could get to the nearby parks and Glen Ellen main strip. We had our dog, Tory, with us and she enjoyed the place too! It is a unit in a duplex, but the layout/floor plan of the duplex is perfect because there are no shared walls to common areas. (Living room/Bedrooms have no shared walls because the bathrooms/study of the units are what share the walls.) I am a very light sleeper, so it was nice that the only thing I could hear at night was the rushing water of the stream below instead of any snoring neighbors :)

We had a lovely stay at Momma K’s beautiful home. It is comfortable, peaceful, and quiet. Momma K created a beautiful setting that is perfect for enjoying the river and nature. We can’t wait to go back for another stay!

Valerie came to our rescue after a horrible experience at another Airbnb. Her place was absolutely adorable. The bedding was amazing and I’ve decided to buy the same sheets. It was dog friendly which we really appreciated. Very cozy, quaint, and relaxing. Valerie herself is absolutely lovely and made us feel like we were old friends. Thank you for hosting us and for helping us escape the previous Airbnb!

Adam’s place was perfect as a weekend getaway for our family of 3. The place is quiet and offered beautiful views with wildlife sightings. It was the perfect launching point for hiking and we loved coming back to relax to the great record collection. Would recommend!

Great little artist studio for some R&R. We were there on a very rainy weekend but it was nice and warm inside. Love that Michelle provides coffee and cooking supplies such as oil, spices etc which many places don't. Also, studio is filled with interesting magazines, arts stuff to do and more. The place is pretty high up in the hills so if you are coming in after dark it is probably a bit more challenging but we arrived around dusk and found everything fine.

Jodie's place in Bodega Bay was the perfect spot for an overnight on our road trip. It was easy to access, had parking, was in a beautiful location, and included all the amenities we needed. Jodie provided lot of information ahead of time, but when we had a question she was quick to reply over text!

i love bolinas so much and coming to visit and staying at annas ocean retreat was an amazing return. the house was cozy and close to the beach. small-ish but perfect for my wife and I. we will definitely be returning

It was so wonderful to stay here. Walking distance to so many great restaurants, coffee shops and Lake Merritt. Such a lovely neighborhood, I hope to visit again soon. Clean, modern touches to the cottage, we couldn’t be happier…with the space and host. Prob one of the best stays we’ve experienced yet!

'Extremely delighted with the cottage. Loved being surrounded by nature and trees, and having views of the San Francisco bay in the distance. It was impeccably clean, well stocked, and comfortable. It is small, as advertised, but perfect for a couple and maybe for another person or two. Clair was out of the area during our visit, but she was very responsive by text, checked to make sure all was well, and provided useful local information. 'Loved that on a near-by walking trail a rider gave me snacks to feed his horse. In spite of the cabin being away from the hubbub of city life, there is a grocery store and filling station near by for quick trips. My son's downtown Oakland apartment is likely less than 25 minutes away. I highly recommend the cottage and will reserve again if we visit the Oakland area again.

I fell in love with this cozy, well-appointed cottage from the exposed beams to the charming outdoor spaces. The view of the beach is exceptional. Even in gray rainy weather I was riveted by the ocean. The space is calming and aesthetically pleasing with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I am especially particular about beds, and this one exceeded my expectations. Truly a first class experience. I'll be back!

Albena’s cottage was exactly as described. I was in need of a couple of weeks of relaxation and this was the perfect place. Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous flowers. My stay was in January and I can only image the front and back yards during springtime. Quiet neighborhood. Hiking trail just beyond the backyard. Albena is a sweetheart. Very prompt responses, all with a pleasant tone. I would stay here again and highly recommend Albena’s cottage. A very special place.

This was a fantastic stay! The location was perfect, and the space, though small, was incredibly cozy and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed—and more! The amenities were so well-planned, including snacks, ramen, a mini fridge, a space heater, and even a luggage rack (just like in hotels!). Em was also very responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

My third stay at Molly's Cottage and so grateful that I have this sanctuary to call my temporary home after an emergency hospitalization. Grateful to Marcy and Kent for accommodating my last minute request to stay at their home. Great location and very responsive hosts. I will definitely book this place again on my next holiday.

Our little family loved our stay at Tom’s place! The setting was beautiful & private, and our dog loved the patio area. It rained the entire time we were there but it didn’t bother us one bit, as we were cozy inside with the fireplace! We didn’t leave except for one day tour of the Korbel winery. We loved sitting in the hot tub with the rain dripping off the gorgeous redwood trees, and the seasonal creek rushing along the edge of the property. There is even a small waterfall up the hill! The bed was super comfortable with lots of good quality linens, and we slept wonderfully listening to the rain & little creek. Shower had good water pressure & he provided Native bath products which are my favorites! The kitchen was fully stocked (6 kinds of tea!) & the laundry machines worked perfectly. Tom has really thought about what his guests might want, and has designed & organized his space accordingly. All in all one of my favorite AirBnBs of all time. We’re already planning to return.
