The running creek was so calming to listen to in the evening, the kitchen very well stocked and the festive lights on the front porch helped to guide the way when we were driving back in the evening. I spent a few days at the Nordic Nook to really focus on some projects I needed to complete, and this place did the job! It is comfortable and clean, and it had everything you need to make my stay a positive and productive one. Wifi was great, and the instructions were clear. Little touches of hospitality throughout (like the cotton swabs and bath bombs in the bathroom) felt nicely curated and considered. It really did feel like I was able to get away and enjoy the beautiful space. I anticipate returning again in the future and can't wait!

The Cabin is remote but quite. The lack of internet might be a problem but it is definitely a plus for someone who is trying to get some alone time and get close to nature. While the water seemed and felt clean, it did smell a little. But Gary was kind enough to provided bottled drinking water to mitigate this issue. Overall a great place to stay.

Absolutely stunning and awesome to be right on the little river and deer the creek inside spectacular awesome little touches gorgeous I’m jealous lol I guess the only thing is you do here traffic. But that’s noted in the description and the letter con compared to so many pros how’s the outdoor fireplace and this awesome indoor fireplace that just goes right onit’s got a washer and dryer lots of great decor and references to faith and super clean.

One goal for our stay this fall was to get away from the world a bit, and the Pamela's comfortable log cabin down the woodsy road did the trick. Although there are other houses around (and I imagine it's a busy place in the summertime), at this time of the year it was quiet, with occasional birdsong and squirrels on the roof. The nights were chilly but we were snug in the main room with the heater on - the outer, all-weather room was another story, but we didn't use it much. The cabin is 10 minutes from the town of Carlisle, which offers places to eat and things to do. The scenery was lovely on our drive to Shippensburg and to Chambersburg.
