Cottage vacation rentals in Peaks Island

We had a wonderful time at this vacation house in Maine. The views were breathtaking and the cottage was cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay at Audrey & Seb's place. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean. The beds were super comfortable, the location was private and close to town, and there was so much thought put into all the little details. What an absolutely wonderful place. Thank you so much!

This was perfect for me, my daughters and granddaughter!! It was close to so many things and to Old Orchard Beach and the Pier. We had a great time there and would stay there again in a heartbeat!! Thank you!

Terrific stay! The cottage was modern, clean, convenient and lovely. The pools are great for kids, and the cottage is near to restaurants, beaches etc. Great place for a holiday.

The place was quiet & cozy with everything we needed. Mini split AC in both living and bedroom. Two comfy queen beds. Small patio. Everything we needed and great location between Kennebunk and Ogunquit! Would recommend.

Mark is an amazing host - kind, responsive, and knowledgeable. The house is in a great spot, walkable to the ferry/restaurants but a little quieter. Highly recommend!

As described in the listing, the cottage is cozy and seems recently updated, with a nice kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked, there's a tankless water heater so no issues with running out of hot water, and the house is very clean. The beach is a couple of minutes walk, as is a general store with sandwiches, pizza, etc., a boat rental company, and a restaurant. We didn't have any issues during our stay, but the owner was very responsive in terms of answering questions about what to bring, etc.

Elizabeth was a wonderful host and her home is perfect for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The house was spotless, well appointed, and very cozy. The short walk to the beach and town market is really convenient. Her rental is a perfect home base if you’re visiting Portland or exploring the Maine coast nearby.

To say we enjoyed our stay is an understatement. Everything about the cottage was cozy, clean, charming, and comfortable. Coreen was so accommodating and stayed in good touch when we had a question. The location and set up of the house was stellar. Everything was intuitive from the kitchen to the bathrooms and full set up. The photos accurately depicted the charm of this adorable cottage! We look forward to renting this house again in the future — hopefully in the summer next time so we can catch the summer vibe of this cottage!

The Broken Compass is the perfect little get away! We loved sitting down by the fire pit and having our meals on the great screened in porch out front. The beds were comfortable, the home is well decorated and free of clutter, and they had everything we needed to cook 3 meals a day. Had a slight issue at check in, but John was super responsive and proactive in helping us out and the rest of the trip was excellent. We absolutely will come back!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Debbie’s cabin. The interior is tidy, simply furnished and decorated with Debbie’s nice paintings. The heater worked well, but it was a little noisy. Luckily we didn’t need it through the night, so we were able to enjoy the peace and calm of the quiet lakeside location. Nothing like waking up to the view of that pristine lake. Some mornings it was so still it reflected the trees. We loved that. Water pressure was a little touch and go, but overall not a problem.

Absolutely loved our stay at this lake cabin! It's nestled right on the water, making it a perfect spot for peaceful mornings and unbeatable fishing. The sunsets over the lake are absolutely stunning — a real highlight of the trip. The cabin itself has a rustic charm, filled with unique vintage touches that make it feel cozy and full of character. It's quiet, far enough from the city to truly relax, but still conveniently close to town if you need anything. A wonderful place to unwind and make lasting memories with family. Can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Bailey and Diane’s place and they were very responsive and helpful hosts. The home is in a great location, walkable to local attractions and full of thoughtful touches. We loved the little covered in porch, perfect for book reading!

My husband and I have enjoyed this beautiful little house 2 years in a row now. It is a short walk to the beach, the area feels safe and the management company is always available. The cabin is so cute and clean and feels just like home. We can't wait to be back next year again!

Had a wonderful stay. Perfect location for my husband, myself and our dog and only a few a seconds walk to the beach! About a mile from the pier which we loved that is was a little bit quieter. We also took a fun day trip with our dog to Portland. Would stay here again! Note that the pet fee wasn’t included in the air bnb price and is extra once you check in.

Don’t tell anyone about Shelley’s place! We want to be the only ones to be there!!!!! We had a beautiful time ! Me, my daughter and her 2 yr old son. The lake is soooooo clear and relaxing. Canoed every day. Loons in the lake everyday. Went and picked blueberries and went to the children’s museum😃 Close to Portland! We’ll bring the Daddy next time! Thanks Shelley

The Loon's Nest exceeded our expectations. The cottage is in a beautiful setting on a peaceful lake. It is well appointed inside and out so that you have everything you need for an amazing lakefront getaway.

The cottage was perfect for our needs and had everything! Auria was extremely helpful and responded to us quickly! I would definitely stay there again!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful. Vianna was responsive and even left us a little treat which made the stay all the better. very clean and the kitchen had everything! some spices, coffee, creamer etc.. highly recommend for a quiet getaway.
