We had a great time staying at this bungalow! Amazing wildlife and extremely relaxing

Overall great experience. The apartment was clean, and everything looked exactly like the photos. No weird disturbances/noises at night so we slept peacefully. Compared to the state of other roads in the area, this location doesn't need 4x4 or anything similar to get to it or to move around.

We really liked the place, very private with a lot of natural noise coming from the congos, the rooms were clean, the kitchen has everything you need and the location is very close to the main street.

Spacious and bright Airbnb, super calm surrounding which is perfect to relax on the terrace. All clean, hot water works perfectly and very good A/C to cool the room down on hot days. Easy to find, parking a few steps from the house. Only the „community area“ with gym seemed a little outdated/dusty (might be because of ongoing constructions on that side of the building). Overall it’s a no-brainer, the cute dogs add the last 5% 🥹

We had the most wonderful week!! Our stay here really made our trip to coasta rica! Highly recommend

Definitely the most beautiful Airbnb of our stay in Costa Rica! Great value for money. The views of the mountains and sea early in the morning is beautiful.

Really had a very nice overnight stay with Marianne and Rob. When we arrived, they are both allowed to meet. They came across very friendly and were very helpful! Would definitely recommend this accommodation!! In addition, it is also really wonderfully centrally located, so top notch. A plus is that your car is also "safe" in private area.

Luciano’s place was perfect! The location was great. There were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance and the beach access was right across the street. We had our two little ones with us and they loved using the pool! We were also all very excited to see monkeys out our window! We ate out and cooked dinner a few times and we had everything we needed for cooking. We would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel is nice, it has a pool, the food is good, close to the center of Puntarenas, the truth I have no complaints about the place.

Staying at James' place was a magical experience. Beautiful jungle surroundings with an ocean view to enjoy the sunset every night. Lots of wildlife to marvel at just outdoors on the patio, which has a gorgeous setup. We loved enjoying smoothies / drinks, and hanging out in the outdoor kitchen. Cozy interiors as well. The location is very close to Santa Teresa, Stephanie was a lovely host with great local recommendations and helped us arrange/ book activities during our stay. Would love to return sometime soon!

This was has a lasting memory in our hearts. It was utterly perfect. The house, the pool, the beach, and the peace and joy it brought everyone makes this place magical. Zeidy and Henry, the onsite caretakers make the house a 12/10! Zeidy cooked a few dinners for us as an optional add on and her food was amazing! We are already planning the next time we can come back to this exact spot.

Had never been to CR before. This spot is unique. Super quiet area, two paths to the the most beautiful beach. Howler monkeys, iguanas, birds, mangos, coconuts, butterflies, flowers. We found the surf break in town better for southern hemi season. Really a memorable trip and the house fit three surf buddies perfectly. Staff was above and beyond expected, they came and cleaned twice! Washer and dryer were so valued.

Spending time with Ben at the re-centre was an incredible and enlightening experience. We tried new experiences. We attempted and successfully conquered the cold plunge tub. We were able to have great sleeps and enjoy the cuddles of Pacha and Cayman, the fur babies on site. What makes Ben’s place even more enjoyable is the surroundings to be able to spend time talking with him about his vision for the property and seeing the incredible effort that he has made in making sure that guest have an experience that they will remember? This isn’t just about location. This is about feeling and becoming a part of the community during your stay. So much to see and do . The property is very safe. We didn’t even lock our doors at night. Staff and in particular Henry are amazing people they made us feel noticed and cared for and there were lots of extra little one on one moments that we spent with Ben and Henry Anticipate amazing gardens and howler monkeys !! Great service all around

It was my second time in Costa Rica, and by far the best. Isabella made it so easy to get everything set up for the stay and then Mauricio met us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of everything. I have never seen a view so spectacular in my life!I am so glad I chose Mal Pais over Santa Teresa.
