Cabin vacation rentals in Palm Desert

Have a lovely weekend stay at Michael’s cabin. It’s conveniently located for quick walks to town and right across the street from aroma cafe. The Airbnb was very cute and cozy; exactly what we were looking for.

Everything was just as I imagined, only better! The tranquility and homelike feel was fantastic, it was such an amazing getaway and I can’t wait to go back!

Freewyld is like that babysitter you don’t want to tell your friends about. We had an absolute blast I shouldn’t even be writing this review. Everything was as expected and exceeded our hopes for a cabin getaway. Relaxing in the hot tub and laying on the nets next to the creek stargazing were two of our favorites but everything about the trip and space was magical.

We really enjoyed the cottage. Clean and a very relaxing mountain vibe. Comfy beds. The garden was a bonus. Very walkable to town and up to Ernie Maxwell Trail/ Tahquitz Trailhead. Hosts were helpful and always quick to respond.

Our family of three, including a very mobile 11-month-old, had an absolutely wonderful stay in this modernized cabin near Idyllwild! The first night we had some fun rummaging through the record collection and had ourselves a little dance party to Dark Side of the Moon in the kitchen. In the morning we had breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen and headed into town. We explored the shops, checked out a local musician, and grabbed a bite to eat at Leanna’s Idyll Awhile Bistro. She has awesome Pear Cider and Mulled Wine! We headed back to the cabin after a few hours out, flipped on the wall heaters to warm up a bit, and recorded a few musical numbers using a nice little 3/4 guitar that we found upstairs. We got the baby to bed, put on a show (lots of services included on the TV), then jumped in to the hot tub for a soak - I recommend the recliner edge with the foot jets! We wrapped the night with Scrabble in the loft. Checkout was easy and Astrid’s communication was great! We’ll be back:)

Sandra’s place is amazing. It’s perfectly located giving you easy access to town as well as multiple trails for hiking. The hot tub is great, fireplace is easy to use…. The place is perfect. She’s also thought of everything. From leaving flashlights, head lamps, dog poop bags, lint rollers… anything you need, it’s there. I highly recommend staying with Sandra!

We LOVED our time at Suzanne’s place! The house is charming, clean and comfortable and walking distance to all of Idyllwild’s restaurants and shops. It offered just the right amount of modern and cozy we were looking for and my kids have already requested that we go back soon.

Amy’s place is so beautiful! Great escape to the mountains. The home itself really stands out especially the ambiance. The hot tub is beautiful, great look out to the mountains and the water flowing !

The place made the trip magical. The weather also cooperated for February. It got so hot during the day I fell asleep in the sun reading. Hot tub was wonderful after a trail run. The cabin itself is gorgeous, glam “rustic” so not really rustic at all but looks the part, and the loft bedroom so romantic. The fire pit was easy to navigate but it was too cold at night. But the stars and the sky added to the peace and rejuvenating quality of the weekend. Delicious eats but about 25 minutes away. But we made delicious meals and stayed in to enjoy the solitude. Love the special touches like the use of beautiful candles and the record player. Wonderful to shut out the world if you want.

This place looks exactly like the pictures! I like how they had everything you need and more (pet stuff, baby stuff, baking stuff, games, girls stuff in the restrooms) literally everything you could ask for! Brittany was really helpful and responsive. She also let us check in an hour earlier and check out time is at 12 (so amazing since I’m not a morning person and didn’t have to rush out). I also liked how we weren’t obligated to do chores, but ofc cleaned up the place before we left. Very close to jtnp and it was really easy to find. I also liked how private it was. I had a nice time and will definitely book this place again if I come back☺️❤️

Big spacious cabin. Plenty of room to relax and cook as a group in the kitchen. Beds were very comfy. Enjoyed the sauna, cold plunge and pickle ball court. Had a wonderful family experience in cabin 1.

What an amazing spot to relax and chill. We stayed for one night and regretted that we didn’t book it for longer :( It’s in a very peaceful neighborhood with many restaurants and cafes to visit. We loved the sauna, cold plunge and the heated pool. The pickleball court was closed as it had extra tables and chairs under a giant canopy. This was kind of a bummer because we were looking forward to playing pickleball. But there were many other amenities to enjoy so wasn’t a big of a deal. The host is super responsive and given local recommendations which are always helpful. If you’re looking for a spot to relax and have fun, this is the spot!

Perfect location for privacy and tranquility. Even though it was snowing we never felt cold inside the cabin and we slept peacefully. The restroom was clean and had great small features. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends.

Our stay at The Hive was BRILLIANT. Absolutely gorgeous location, the house was wonderfully set up with everything you might need (there was even a drawer filled with things visitors often forget to pack, like hair ties! Our family particuarly loved stargazing in the hammocks. The Joshua Tree National Park was right next door, and the Hot Tub was the Best Possible Way to relax after a long day walking around the park. Brittany the host was amazing, excellent communication, just a wonderful person all round. THANK YOU SO MUCH for having us!

Great house in great location not far from town center and main lodge. Free washer and dryer was amazing except for leak. Was fixed by management company next day. Cable was a huge plus and being able to use cookware and tableware was great. AC worked well.

Our group of seven had such a wonderful time at Scott’s cabin. We felt like we had more than enough room and entertainment to satisfy our stay. As if the hot tub, grill, fireplace, and tv weren’t enough fun, the cabin was surrounded by the most beautiful forest. Drinking my morning coffee on the balcony, looking out to the view, felt like something truly out of a magazine. Book this Airbnb. You won’t be disappointed!

We were looking for a getaway for a few days and happened upon ZenWild Luxe Cabin. Located in a beautiful, exceptionally friendly neighborhood, we found the cabin to be quite lovely and cozy. We were surrounded by peaceful, serene nature and it was exactly what we needed. Priscilla was extremely friendly, accommodating and was very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend this picturesque cabin in the mountains to anyone looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I keep coming back to this beautiful cabin over and over again!!! End it feels like every time it just gets better and better!!! I can’t get over this place! And I can’t get over how wonderful the host is!!!! Can’t wait to come back!!! The most perfect place for some peace and quiet! The most perfect place to make your pups happy!!!!

Family of four. Two daughters ages 14&11 years old, loved the stairs to the two bed room loft. The house was clean, cozy and well lite outside for our arrival at night. Love all the quotes and Nomes throughout the house. Thank you!

Linda’s cabin was absolutely lovely and cozy! Linda was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The cabin’s heating was excellent which is always a bonus! We were never chilly during our stay. The cabin comes equipped with everything you could possibly need! I love that they include a guide for your stay and recommendations for things to do and where to eat in Idyllwild. I would highly recommend this cabin and would love to be back someday!

My husband and I booked Kelly’s house about a year out planning to spend Valentine’s weekend in this very private cabin in the woods. Upon arrival, we were happy to find that the home looks just like the pictures. It’s a happy mix of modern vintage which, for two 70s babies, sits very well with us. The home was extremely clean and just cozy enough for a weekend for two. Nestled among towering trees, it almost felt like we were staying in a dreamy treehouse. The beds were comfortable; my only criticism is the pillows were a bit flat. When you lay on them, feels like your head goes straight down to the mattress. Maybe I just have a big head. :) Other than that, it was a lovely, lovely stay for our first time in Idyllwild which is the cutest little town.

This place is a hidden gem! It is a bit of a gnarly road to get to the house but it’s such a beautiful location! So quiet and peaceful!

We loved our Valentine getaway...snuggling by the cozy fireplace, star-gazing in the hot tub, drinking our morning coffee on the deck. It's in a great location close to town, too, which is a huge bonus!
