We had a lovely weekend while in town for a wedding. Home is even nicer than the photos imply, and the two decks are very nice (one sunny and one shaded). Beverly is easy to chat with, and protective of the home which I understand. :) Kitchen and dining areas are large. We were building a charcuterie platter for the bride and there was plenty of space for 4 people to work together while making it. One note: cell service at the top of the hill (and much of Malibu, truthfully) is very poor. Once you’re inside on WiFi it’s fine, but take a screen shot of the host’s instructions (gate codes and such) so you’ll have them available when you park. Overall an enjoyable home with a lovely view.

We had a fantastic stay—our kids absolutely loved it and begged to stay longer every single day. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with gorgeous morning strolls and stunning evening sunsets. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly—the built-in dog door in the bedroom was such a thoughtful detail, letting our pup come and go without waking us. After full days of kayaking around the Channel Islands, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked for home-cooked meals, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. We also loved not having to pack beach gear—the hosts had everything covered: toys, canopy, towels, you name it. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the host’s kindness in offering us a late checkout made our departure so much smoother. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Our family of 4 loved our stay at Toby’s lovely apartment. Check in/out instructions were clear & simple. The location is ideal. We parked our car in the designated parking place and didn’t need to drive the entire time we were in Carp. The house itself was perfectly cleaned and well appointed with everything we needed for a great beach stay. The apartment is actually BIGGER than we expected from the photos! Definitely recommend and we will stay again. Tremendous value for the area!

We could not be happier with our stay at Lisa’s beautiful home in Ventura! My husband is always very skeptical of renting homes as opposed to staying at a hotel, and even he kept saying “Ok this was an excellent find” Everything about the house was as described and Lisa went above and beyond in making sure the house was ready and comfortable for us, even getting the pack n play set up and ready for use for our 1 year old. The kids bunk room, board games and puzzles, safety covers on every outlet, baby supplies and an abundance of beach toys and gear all helped make this an absolutely perfect spot for families. We were so close to the beach it was no problem at all taking 3 small kids there and back multiple times, and the little main street with a couple restaurants was less than a 5 minute walk away. Instructions were all so clear, the backyard was awesome to hang out and enjoy dinner at, and the entire house was so clean and comfortable. My family is already begging to book it again!

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Ventura area. Very nice home it’s very comfy with the massage chair and definitely worth paying a little more to use fire pit, bbq grill and hot tub! Joanie's beach bungalow was so sweet and cozy. We loved how beachy the interior felt, and the space is really designed to make you feel like you're living a coastal life. For those visiting or thinking of booking, some thoughts: Big pros: -You can walk to the beach, truly just a few minutes away -There's a new resort that is also walking distance and has an amazing restaurant called Ox and Ocean -There are lots of beach toys, a beach wagon, and everything else you need To consider: -Oxnard didn't offer a ton of options for our little kids outside of the beach, so we ended up driving to Santa Barbara for the zoo (about 35 minutes away), and to Ventura for the downtown area (maybe 15 mins) Thank you for a great stay, Joanie!

Our family booked this house for Thanksgiving week. It is in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views. The house was very clean and uncluttered. We had an amazing time together cooking, playing games and walking around the neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful house with an amazing view of the beach. We were so relaxed during our stay like we lived here. Sandy was very kind, helpful, and responded very fast. The full kitchen was what sold this place for us as it was my sister’s birthday. So many kitchen supplies and utensils, this place was well stocked and clean. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location! Beach was only a few minutes walk. Neighborhood felt very safe and was quiet, with exception of the daily national anthem coming from the nearby naval base. The house is stocking with everything you would need to make big family meals and anything you might want for beach play. Our grown kids LOVED the ping pong table in the garage!

This Airbnb stay was an absolute gem! The location couldn't have been more perfect. My husband and I did a five day stay here and it was well worth it. We wanted to stay somewhere serene while still being able to explore Santa Barbara and Ojai. Santa Barbara is only 15 minutes away and Ojai is about 30 minutes. We bounced around between those two towns and also got to see what Carpinteria was all about. Steven's place is 7 minutes to the Carpinteria Bluffs where heaven meets earth. The locals are friendly and high in consciousness, they are one with the environment and take pride in their role in keeping it safe. The home itself is spacious with great views, the kitchen was fully stocked with the all the cooking essentials. Instacart delivers to this location if you need anything last minute. During the stay you will hear different sounds of farm animals in the distance which I found relaxing. The living room is comfortable with tons of lounge furniture and space. The outdoor decks have plenty of seating and is surrounded by wildlife. If you want peace come here!

Was in town for work and Meredith’s place seemed like the right fit and it definitely was. Cozy and spacious. Steps away from the beach too which was a plus!
