Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ottawa

We only ended up staying one night as the weather was not cooperating with our plans. The place was cote and clean and close to the parks we were hoping to visit. Elaine gave lots of local recommendations. Hopefully we will be back sometime.

We come from Chicago a couple times a year to hike at Starved Rock, Matthiesen, etc, so we thought we would try staying for a full weekend. This place was the perfect fit. It was pet friendly, so our dog could come along, and it had great amenities at the resort. The staff was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

We always stay at The Baldwin House when we visit family in Streator. We feel right at home and most everything is a short walk away. The park, Walgreens, a delicious bakery, coffee shops, fabulous restaurants, and unique shopping. I highly recommend Toni's Airbnb and the restaurants, Good Morning, Good Day and Gaetano's Vault. We sleep and eat well in Streator. 💛😊

Hosts were very responsive to issues that arose and compensated (of their own accord, I didn’t ask) for the inconvenience that occurred. An inconvenience out of their control. Nice people, answered my 101 questions, as it was my very first Air bnb experience. My only thing was that it was not advertised that there were stairs and all beds and the only bath were upstairs. My son is handicapped so it made it very difficult getting him up and down the 16-17 stairs. Otherwise it’s definitely a very cute place! Our animals (more than 1) were allowed, which is kind of a hard thing to find these days in all honesty. I just don’t recommend this particular property of theirs for anyone with a handicap. They do have others! All in all, definitely a great first time experience for my kids and I!

My family and I had a lovely stay at Elaine's house! My kids took over the upstairs while we got to relax on the main level. It was super close to Starved Rock, and all of Elaine's recommendations for hikes and restaurants were very helpful! The place was very clean and we felt at home. Thanks for being a great host!

The house was beautiful and perfectly clean. We had a great time enjoying the surroundings and going out to Ottawa and Starved Rock

Fantastic place for our girls trip. Very up to date. Great location. The kids beds upstairs aren’t great for adults to sleep on, but great place for older kids.
