House vacation rentals in Ōmāpere

Had an amazing weekend, awesome property had everything and more, pool was awesome for the kids and so was the yard. David is an excellent host, had awesome communication, was also very understanding when I forgot something at the house. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone.

A gorgeous, modern place to stay. Fantastic amenities including the pool and baths with jets. Comfy beds and good AC/fans for when it’s hot. Outdoor furniture and umbrellas for the heat. Beautiful surroundings with plenty of bird life and a view of the water. John was responsive and also granted us an extra 30 mins to check out which we appreciated. The negatives would be that it’s not walkable (hill too steep and reasonably far from town) and the driveway that has had many comments already! It really was nothing like any of us had ever seen before. The first attempt was scary and not achieved in one go but after it had been done a few times it was ok. We didn’t have to contend with another car in the front unit however - unsure how smoothly things would’ve gone if this was the case!

We had an amazing stay in Russell, with the cottage conveniently located a short walk from town, restaurants and the ferry to Paihia. The air conditioner upstairs was great to cool down the bedrooms. The additional downstairs toilet / wet room / laundry worked very well with the children in and out of the pool several times per day. The shared swimming pool / barbecue area was a great space for the whole family. We will definitely be back - thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay with Liz. She welcomed us on arrival & made sure that we knew where everything was. We were invited to use their pool as well. She shared some fruit from the garden which was such a lovely gesture. She gave us really useful local information too. She was the perfect host during our stay & we loved the accommodation & its garden setting on their lovely home. If we ever return to New Zealand we will be back to enjoy their lovely hospitality.

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

Our stay at the Airbnb in Paihia was truly memorable. The space was not only clean and comfortable but also beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. We loved how conveniently located it was, just a short walk from the beach and nearby restaurants. Our host was friendly and went above beyond to ensure we have everything we needed for comfortable stay. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy the stunning scenery of Paihia! Highly recommended place.

What a great place! Photos don't do the house justice - it looks better in person. Home is nice and new, spacious with good room for a family. Everything was neat and tidy and the house had everything you needed - fridge, microwave, dishwasher, cooking and washing facilities, air conditioning, etc. Diane was a breeze to deal with, very responsive, helpful and friendly! We highly recommend!

Great place to stay with a family. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and places of interest. The house was nice and homely and catered well to us with a couple young kids. We would definitely stay again

Christine’s place was absolutely beautiful, clean and well located along the bay. It was stocked with everything needed for a comfortable 3 night stay and included some munchies on arrival. The views were spectacular. The kids enjoyed kayaking and my husband fishing (kayaks and fishing rod supplied by Christine). Shopping and restaurants are a short drive away. We would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. Thanks Christine for being so friendly, helpful and accommodating. We personally rate your place 5 star and the best AirBnb we have ever stayed in throughout our travels!

Leah and Neil's place was perfect! We have a large family and it was plenty big enough for all of us, with the kids loving a play in the back yard. The location is awesome, nice and quiet but only a few mins from Town Basin. The house was really well stocked with everything you could need. Leah and Neil were very quick to respond to any questions as well. We would definitely like to come stay again.

Cathy’s place is perfect! It’s super spacious and comfortable with high-quality finishing and furnishings - you can tell she’s put a lot of effort into making it welcoming and special for her guests. It’s the most well-equipped place I’ve stayed at - everything from spices and several different forms of coffee through to washing powder, table tennis and beach chairs are all ready and waiting. Waipu is a great town and Cathy’s place makes it even better. We’d love to come back and will recommend it to friends!

We had a wonderful stay at Douglas's place. It is very close to the beach, has great views, and it's very clean and comfortable. If anything, the description and photos on Airbnb don't do it justice! It's really a perfect place for a holiday. Douglas (and his brother William) is an amazing host who took us on a successful kiwi spotting walk in our first night! Top class hospitality in a beautiful part of the world.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with plenty of room for the whole family to spread out. The outdoor space was a highlight for the kids—they loved running around the garden and exploring nature. There were even toys and games provided, which kept them entertained for hours. We had a lovely stay at this property, which is conveniently located just a short distance from Kerikeri Township. The house itself was comfortable and well-maintained, and the heat pump worked efficiently to keep the space cozy. We especially appreciated the TV with access to Netflix, which was a nice touch for relaxing in the evenings. Overall, our experience was positive, and we would recommend this property for those seeking a peaceful, well-located stay in Kerikeri.

The other reviews are spot on - Wonderful place Kay has. The dipping spot was delightful and we swam with New Zealand eels (friendly). The property is large and full of surprises. Loved the food garden too. Kay lets you recharge your electric car for free so that was nice too. Kitchen is very well stocked with oil, spices, great pots/pans,…. Mimiwhangatata beach (15km away on a dirt road) is definitely one of the nicest beaches in New Zealand, white sand, good swimming and snorkeling. The 4km hike there is just gorgeous. The local beach (Mimiha) is one 12 minute walk away (also very nice) though Russel Rd has a lot of cars so probably best to drive. Nearest dairy is in oakura (14km away) so shop before you come. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come again.

We loved this modern, comfortable home! Nicely decorated, very clean with everything we needed for our stay. We ended up getting rained out and spent most of our stay inside but this home made it so nice. Books, games, comfy beds, Netflix and a great view made the washout a relaxing getaway. Would stay again.

Had such a great time close to town and airport which was ideal , plenty of space for the kids to run around,the deck was a favourite for everyone with sun all day round, plenty of board games and puzzles for us to enjoy, beds were all extremely comfortable. All and all good stay

Beautiful, clean home in a peaceful, tranquil setting. Central to everything we needed and perfect for work with fast, reliable internet. The host was lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Home away from home. Lovely surroundings, set off the road & private. Good sized bedrooms, big bathroom and separate toilet, spacious kitchen & great indoor outdoor flow. Kitchen had everything we needed, large fridge etc. Our kids also enjoyed having the area in front of the garage to bounce the Basketball. The place looks better than the photos.

The place looks more like home than rental. The hosts were very helpful, going an extra mile to make sure we had an exceptional stay. Very much enjoyed it.
