Beachfront vacation rentals in Old Lyme

We had a fabulous stay at Spencer and Maddie's! Their house is lovely and perfect for a cozy family getaway. We especially loved the kitchen - stocked with all the necessary appliances, the fireplace and a welcoming family room. The house is tucked away in a quiet area, steps away from the beach and a short drive / jogging distance away from Greenport and its lovely cafes, nearby wineries and the beauty of North Fork. We appreciate how friendly, welcoming and responsive Spencer and Maddie were and look forward to coming back!

Such a beautiful condo by the water! Too bad we stayed in November, we would have enjoyed the terrace way more! Mia was so responsive and helpful with my questions prior to the weekend at her place.

I enjoyed myself throughly!! My sisters and I had such an amazing time!! We weren’t ready to leave. My sister enjoyed her birthday getaway so much!! She fell in love with the home and the pool!! The showers felt tropical.

Loved the character of the house and the views cannot be beat. The air bnb was the highlight of our stay. The sound of the waves is just perfect. We will be back in the summer! The host is also amazingly helpful.

My stay at Julie’s was wonderful, I was always able to message and get a quick response she was very accommodating. The view was beautiful and felt comfy like home. I will definitely be returning in the summer once it’s warmer !

We booked here for a little 'staycation' for our first wedding anniversary! The weather wasn't great, but it worked to our advantage and we got an upgrade :) The ladies at the front were very kind and welcoming. The location is perfect right off the ferry and in the main village, walking distance to everything. We would definitely stay here again!!

The place was perfect nice and clean what I like the best is the it was close to the beach to go for a walk.

The house felt like coming home. Everything you need was provided. The location is beautiful as is the surrounding area. We needed proximity to family and this was a perfect spot. All the amenities in the home were available and perfect for a weeklong stay. Thank you for a great stay!

We spent an incredible week at this beach oasis & it was everything we could have hoped for & more! The property feels like it's straight out of a fairy tale—the grounds are stunning--beautiful gardens filled with vibrant flowers & unusual plants, charming pathways & magical little spots to sit and relax. The fire pit in the evenings was perfect after a day of kayaking, yoga, reading, etc. The house itself is spacious and unique, with so much character. The views are breathtaking & each of the bedrooms is basically in its own separate "wing", giving everyone plenty of privacy--the fact that each has its own full bathroom made it even more luxurious. The property has so many charming nooks & crannies, we felt like we were discovering a new cozy spot every day. And the location was perfect--just minutes away from outstanding restaurants in every style of cuisine. It was absolutely the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort & beauty. Thank you for a wonderful vacation we'll never forget!

This day was exactly what me and my little family needed for my birthday weekend. It was private it was peaceful. The host was very responsive and accommodating to all needs and very understanding. We definitely will be booking again. Can’t wait till next time.!

This is a great place to be with friends, there is lots of space to entertain. The outdoor space is just as wonderful, there is enough space to have sit around and talk. If you are looking to get away with some friends this is the place. It was very clean and spacious.

Alexandra’s place was a great stay for our weekend get away. Short walk to the beach and near anything else you might need. Alexandra was very responsive and accommodating to any questions we had.

This house is a gem! I came to stay a week in off season with my dog, Rollo. The location is breathtaking, right on the Long Island Sound. We had a great time exploring the beach, looking for all the biodiversity in the birds and sea creatures, watching the boats, and this place is relatively close to an airport so watching the planes land and take off was awsome as well. We came for privacy, and I expected the beach to be a little more private than it was due to my dog's reactivity. But the neighbors did not seem to have issues with us, and once you are close to the water, especially in low tide, the beach is pretty open for all the locals. Walking around, the locals all waved and said hello. Not too many restaurants close by, but the Lobster Shack down the road had good food! Would stay again! The deck alone was worth it!

We had a great stay at this cottage- it was a perfect size for our family and was extremely clean, warm and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the quick walk to the beach, and proximity to town. Hosts were very friendly and responsive but never intrusive. Would highly recommend.

This was a prime location for any level of activity. The home was in walking distance to the beach. It had a water view with endless majestic shore birds swimming past the outdoor sitting area. The local restaurant choices are endless. Mystic, New London and Groton are just a short car ride away. Harkness park has an expensive shoreline with panoramic views and it takes just a few minutes by car or bike. I would definitely book a stay here again.

The photos don't do it justice—this charming place is even more spacious than it looks online. The vintage decor added a cozy touch that made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

This was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had! I came here with kids, and they had a great time. Laura is the best host I’ve ever dealt with! She went above and beyond for us. If I come back to the area, I’m staying here!
