Vacation rentals in Ocosingo Municipality

Wonderful house a little outside of Tzimol. Beautiful, quiet (if you don't count the competing roosters ;-)). If we're ever back in this area, we will definitely stay there again!

Simply: the best place to live in the whole Comitan! 1. Karina is an excellent host. She helped with "where to go" and "what to eat." She even met us at the bus station. And she was just a nice person to talk to. 2. The property is fantastic! Designer's house with plenty of unique elements and paintings. 3. The location is pretty close to the center, around 10 minutes walk. 4. There's a beautiful garden; walking there and looking at thousands of orchids is a pleasure by itself. 5. Karina's parents' hospitality is so lovely. We had breakfasts, coffee, and pleasant conversations with them. Overall, I felt the authentic experience - like being home outside of the home. Karina, thanks for this, and please say thanks to your parents!

My whole family loved our stay here. It’s a quiet, basic rustic cabin on the riverbank with howler monkeys in the trees above and around. It is absolutely perfect for people who love nature. It is not five star, it is so much more. We were the only ones there, they had to clean a foot of mud off the cabin floor from the previous wet season, and the cabin was spotless. They did an amazing job getting it ready for us after being flooded a couple of months before. The only issue we had was, there was no one there when we arrived, and we had to go and find someone. It wasn’t a big deal, but with a family of five, including young children, it wasn’t the ideal start. But it turned into the perfect stay. They directed us to Las Guacamayas, the only restaurant in town, and we did a boat trip from there too. It was absolutely amazing. We weren’t sure about visiting this part of Mexico with the family, we are so glad we did. It was the highlight of our 6 weeks and completely safe. Do it!

Very nice place and the hostess of the best

A cute and basic little hut with everything you need for a few days away from the hustle of the Mexican cities. It lies beautifully next to Lago Tziscao and with a nice view from the room. There is a private bathroom with plenty of hot water. We also really enjoyed the feature of the hammock where we relaxed and cuddled their dog, Roki, who was so sweet. In general, the family who owns this place are really kind and helpful and we felt at home at their place. They have a restaurant on the site with very good food, breakfast and dinner, for a good price. The place in general could use a little tidying up, but it didn't bother us too much and it looked like they were working on some improvements. Tip: Can recommend taking the mototaxi from the town if you arrive by colectivo as we did and have all of your belongings with you. There is a tourist centre almost close by where you can rent kayaks and have a nice swim.

Great place to stay! Located right beside the river. 15 minute walk to the waterfalls. Our favorite place was dining at the restaurant, tasty food and friendly people.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your space, everything was great, the house was clean, the cleanliness is really appreciated, I think the price is fair for the space. The house comes with everything you need to spend a few days in Comitán. When we return, we will of course consider this house again.
