Places to stay in Óbidos

We had an amazing stay at Carlos' villa with our group of 13 adults and 3 babies. The villa is incredibly spacious, with 12 full beds and additional sleeping options on the comfortable couches. The large garden was perfect for the kids to play in, and we thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool and spacious, clean Jacuzzi. The kitchen was slightly used but very functional, offering plenty of room and every kitchen item we could possibly need to cook for our group. The barbecue area is large, though located a little far from the kitchen by the parking area. The rooftop terrace provided stunning 360° views, and the sunsets were simply beautiful. The villa is located in a peaceful, quiet area, just a short 10-minute walk to the beach, which we loved. While walking to the beach is easy, having a car is ideal for reaching larger supermarkets, which are about a 13-minute drive away. Parking offers plenty of space Overall, this villa was the perfect choice for our large group. Highly recommended!

We had a great time! The apartment is very nicely located, you can walk to all the restaurants, the beach and tourist places. At night it is quiet and you can rest very well. Everything was sparkling, disinfected, very clean. The linens were all brand new. Maria was always kind, she left us several welcome gifts, 🤗 highly recommended!!

If you want to discover the area around Nazare and Peniche, this is the place to be on the Atlantic. Foz do Arelho is a few minutes away and we loved it. The Távola Lagoa restaurant is top notch. Best cuisine for seafood and very warm welcome. Unfortunately, the way to Lisbon is a bit far as we also had great bad luck with the weather. As a result, the smell due to the septic tank was quite strong and the pool was not very inviting, as it was also quite heavily stained. Since the weather didn't allow it to be used anyway, it wasn't tragic for us. Otherwise, the house is also easy to use for six people due to the many bathrooms.

Easy to find, great location, spotless place. It reminded me of my grandmother's home :) So clean with comfortable sheets & towels. Felt very at home.

We had a lovely few days in Joana and Tiago’s place. It’s the perfect re-set from frantic life. The house is as described, simple and cosy but when you’re right on the beach that’s all you need, even in drizzly Feb/March. Evenings spent playing cards in front of the fire. The tennis court was an added bonus which we all enjoyed. Thank you for sharing your holiday spot!

Don’t pass this one up! Everything in it is high end making the stay cozy, comfortable, convenient, and clean. The most comfortable beds & pillows during our 3 week stay in Portugal! Paulo put much thought into making this place an absolute dream to stay in! Take if you can.
