A Grade II Listed, 18th Century smugglers cottage retaining lots of original features, it has been lovingly restored to provide luxury accommodation for 4 people. Compact and cosy, tucked away down a little alleyway, it is a perfect holiday location for getting away from it all. Only 200 yards to the harbour and beach and well placed for exploring the lovely North Yorkshire Coast.

We had a really lovely stay at Curlew Cottage for my husbands 40th birthday weekend. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area as we are into our walks. The house itself was beautifully presented, spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. The setting was very peaceful with beautiful views all around. We spotted lots of wildlife which was lovely. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Really enjoyed the stay in Hawes. Lovely spot within easy walking distance of the village. The cottage was spacious and clean with everything we needed. The countryside around is unbeatable - we did a couple of great walks. Would recommend without hesitation.

Decca cottage is Cheerful one bedroom cottage

If we could give Decca Cottage 6 or more stars, we would. We have stayed in 70 Air Bnbs and this has to be in our top 5. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location, yet close to York. The cottage is very well appointed; downstairs is a large kitchen with everything you'd need, a second powder room and a very cosy loungeroom with lovely decor, views and underfloor heating. Upstairs is the bedroom and ensuite. Both were pristine; lovely linen made for a wonderful 3 nights' sleep. We had a very relaxing time at Decca Cottage, spoilt by the goodies left by Debbie. Poppleton Park and Ride is close by and so convenient to get into York. Thanks again Debbie and Kevin for making our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend Decca Cottage!

Stunning Views over the Swale, Barn Cottage.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year’s Eve. The wood burner made it feel very cosy, and it’s really well equipped - it has pretty much everything you might need for a few nights stay. The location is perfect for walking - we did a couple straight from the cottage, with really varied landscapes which were absolutely stunning, including rivers, big vistas and farmland, ending with an excellent pub in Gunnerside. Just a couple of things, which wouldn’t bring my review score down but worth noting - we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, which didn’t really matter to us but worth checking with Harriet if it’s an essential. Also, the hairdryer wasn’t great so worth bringing your own if your hair takes hours to dry like mine! Lastly, the sound system is pretty old and doesn’t have Bluetooth, so better bring a speaker if you like listening to music. Overall, we loved the cottage and had a fantastic stay!

Sarah was lovely as our host, very friendly and communicated will us exceptionally well, great directions and informative with regard to places to eat or visit. I would highly recommend that you stay at one of her lovely little cottages, they are presented well and very clean and tidy, the views are to die for! nice walks and a great pub serving high quality food at a reasonable price. Its very relaxed and tranquil surrounded by nature at its best yet only 10 miles away from busy Harrogate, Thank you for making us so very welcome Sarah :)

Simply wonderful : we can not think of a single thing that was not 100%, everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely not a soulless corporate run Airbnb! The interior design was outstanding and individual without being overpowering, adding to the sense of calm that the location gives. Super clean throughout. Oh and the bedding, it was out of this world. Everything we needed was provided, the log burner a joy in the chillier evenings. Great walks and the bus stop is directly opposite (every 3 hours, check the timetable, the drivers don’t linger) into York.

This place is a little gem in a beautiful village. River Cottage is in the centre of the village surrounded by amazing walks, dog friendly pubs and a great cafe bar. The cottage itself has everything you need for a cosy stay and our cockapoo loved the enclosed garden. You have some great places to visit in the surrounding areas including Whitby, Saltburn, Roseberry Topping and many more. Aurora is a lovely host, very responsive and on hand with any help/ advice needed. We also loved the little touches of cupcakes and doggie treats. Will definitely be back 🙂

Loved Lahney Cottage and kept saying how we could easily stay there for months. It has everything you need a small, cosy, lovely space. The bedroom is very comfortable and peaceful, the bathroom is clean and has lovely products and the kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. The cottage is also a stone's throw from the harbour and the Cod & Lobster. Eva's instructions were spot-on and she was very friendly and responsive. Very highly recommended!

Right from the start Sheena and her family were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was lovely and in a fabulous location. Speaking to other guests leaving rhe cottage next door, I said I would love to return here. They told me that this was their 15th time staying, and I can totally understand. I can't wait to come back to Chapel Row Cottages.
