Cottages by the lake. Guaranteed clean and well maintained, the best deal in Lake County. Pet friendly, free WiFi and cable TV. Kayak rentals available for $35 a day. 150 ft pier to fish from or just sit and enjoy the sun. Splash pad and redwood deck to sit and have that margarita on a hot day. Lake house rooms available for groups from 6-12. There are numerous shops, restaurants and parks within walking distance. Safeway, Grocery Outlet and many salons are within a mile as is Catfish Coffee House a great place to hang out owned by a local artist Gloria de la Cruz. Vista del Lago is a mid last century resort in the true sense of what people use to come to the lake for in the 1940's and 50's prior to the advent of inexpensive airfare and vacation cruises. We have continued to remodel and improve it over the years. It is a wonderful place but we are not like a Hyatt or an Napa Valley bed and breakfast. So come hang out by the lake, start a campfire if you want or just read a good book. Daily housekeeping is provided upon request.

I highly recommend this place. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We spent a couple hours each day kayaking and then went to the bar each night for drinks and dinner. We went during the week and now I want to go back on a Friday night for music in the speak easy. The deck overlooking the water is gorgeous. The best along the river in the area in my opinion. I also recommend going into Occidental for breakfast and/or lunch at one of their super good restaurants and having dinner at the German restaurant just a few doors down from the Boho. First, eat at the Boho Club though because their chef and food is amazing.

*5 stars* because it was very affordable and great experience. The room was small but cute and clean and that’s all I really wanted. Nothing fancy! Great location! It was a rainy off season weekend! I bet it would be incredible in the summer! Only downside was that the hot tub was lost in a flood and I wish the write up said that. I also asked the owners if the bar would be open and they said it would be but it was not. Host was a little slow to respond but it didn’t really matter as it’s very easy to get in and out of the room on your own and passcodes were shared well in advance. I’m glad to know about this spot! :) thanks for having us!
