Beach house vacation rentals in New Zealand

Wainui beach is a fantastic location with surfer like atmosphere. The house was elevated from the sand but 10 stairs away. House has very high ceilings making it seem huge! The living areas face the beach. We had 3 couples staying and it was perfect.

It is a peaceful and quiet place to stay. I asked a lot of questions on the first day, but the host was very proactive and responsive. The space was perfect for two adults and three kids. The kids had a great time paddleboarding at the beautiful beach right in front, and the movie theater at night was a blast.

Our family really enjoyed the stay. The accommodation was perfect with a fantastic flow. Provided everything we needed and more. Our host Hayley was super helpful and friendly.

Absolutely loved our stay in Ōhope. This home had everything we needed, especially for our babies. nothing but good reviews from my family and I. Will be booking again once we go back down.

We had the most wonderful stay at Aisling’s home! The house was perfectly situated, just a stone’s throw from the beach and only a short 6-8 minute drive to Opotiki township. The cleanliness was exceptional, and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, making it feel like a true home away from home. The doors and windows leading out to the deck were a highlight, allowing the fresh air to flow through the home. The deck itself was perfect for relaxing, whether it was sipping morning coffee or enjoying dinner with family. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was an ample supply of bedding, which added an extra layer of comfort. The entire home exceeded my expectations, and my family thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend Aisling’s home – it’s a true gem!

Mark’s AirBnB is an experience rather than a stay. Is a combination of coastal rural Nz right on the doorstep (short boat ride away) from a bustling town Raglan where there are 5 star restaurants, super markets and everything you would need or expect. And the accomodation itself is nestled on a cliff top with 180 views of the harbour and if Raglan. Private, the feeling of seclusion and neighbour free - the best of both worlds made better by a host that balances your needs with respectful distance. Make a pizza in the wood fired oven and then warm your bones in the spa boat and arching the harbour u til the sun melts away listening to birds evening song. We can’t wait to head back and hopefully catch the big uncle of the 12 lb snapper we caught in the raglan harbour!!! Outstanding place.

Really great stay for our little family. Clean, close to the beach and the pool and hot tub were fantastic. Really responsive when we had questions during our stay too!

We would thoroughly recommend Nicks place to anyone hoping to visit the beautiful Mangawhai Heads . The house is situated on a very peaceful street just a couple of minutes drive to the town with its many shops, absolutely fabulous for all the family to enjoy with pool . The owners responded very quickly with us when we and gave further information and were always so supportive through out our stay.Thanks

Beautiful luxury home in quiet Bowentown. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Everything is available to make this a very memorabele stay. The house is spacious, clean has comfortabel beds and a beautiful garden with swimming pool. The location is nice and quiet and if you're looking for a place to unwind with the family then this is it. Very highly recommend and would come back again without hesitation!

The place was great and the location was fantastic; easy to work to the beach and to shops and town!! The house was clean and has everything we needed! There was a construction on both side of the house; it was indicated on the description of the house but we missed that. We had a few noisy days but overall was still good! Communication from Kristin could have been a bit better but that didn’t impact our stay there

Staying at 23 Karewa Parade was an absolute dream! My elderly mother and I spent two nights here while visiting family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. For a fraction of what you’d pay for a hotel suite in a busy city, you get a luxurious, spacious, European-style villa right on Papamoa Beach. Every detail—from the cozy outdoor gas fire to the panoramic ocean views—was thoughtfully designed to create a restful retreat. The master suite and adjacent twin room were perfect for us, providing both privacy and comfort and the fully equipped kitchen made mealtimes a joy. The safe neighbourhood was a huge plus, allowing us to truly unwind. Honestly, you don’t even need to leave the property—it’s that serene. If you’re visiting Papamoa, do it right by booking this amazing beachfront haven. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and already dreaming of your return

Had an excellent stay at Matapana...the view over Palm Beach is stunning with a wonderful window seat and decks to enjoy it from. The home exudes a contemporary warmth, was clean, very well equipped and well documented. We encountered no problems or issues during our stay and Coast & Country communicated well about our arrival and departure arrangements. A private path/steps provide access down the hill from the property to the beach. Guests with mobility issues may find the steepness of this path challenging. Fortunately, that was not an issue for us, and we look forward to staying at this wonderful property again!
