During our trip we were able to meet a family who greeted us with much warmth and great hospitality. Her care was noticeable at every moment and created a pleasant, trusting atmosphere. The breakfast was prepared with a lot of love for detail and was a nice start to the day. If we had any questions or concerns, they were always helpful and open to us and were very willing to compromise. We particularly appreciated their willingness to drive us to Kandy for a fair price. A very great place and a very valuable family. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. A secluded and nice place to stay with squirrels and beautiful birds in the view. The host was extremely helpful, he even provided great suggestions and helped us planning our further plans. Thanks a bunch.

Renuka is such a gracious host. We stayed in a family room on our first night when we landed in Colombo. She gave us a great recommendation for a dinner spot. Our room initially had only 3 sleeping spots (we were 2 adults and 2 small kids) but she gave us a second room when we requested an extra bed. She also made us a lovely breakfast the next day with some delicious butterfly pea tea she had made. She even gave me some seeds to sow at home. A great first stay to kick off our Sri Lankan adventures!

The entrance features a set of steps leading to a large glass door framed by light-colored walls. Potted plants are positioned on either side of the entrance, adding greenery. The area is neatly arranged with floor mats and casual footwear displayed on the side.

Had one of the best experiences at Sunrise palace, we missed our flight and needed a quick booking for a place to stay, I bumped into Sunrise Palace and instantly was booked in. I got to the air bnb it's in the inside street but once the gate opens it looks beautiful, the place is big, sleeps alot of people, extremely clean, balcony in the rooms, extremely clean washrooms, impeccable stay I had the service was phenomenal, the food was fresh and tasty, we all had the omelet and wow it tasted so healthy and gave us fruits and fresh juice, as well as water bottles. This place is just amazing and I will be back in March thank you so much !

Arriving in Sri Lanka the best first place is Madampalle! Admire the villa, take a warm shower and then dive into the pool. Later you can go for a walk by the lake, under the palm trees, all on private territory, or enjoy a delicious meal cooked from chef Inoka. Not to mention the kindness of the owner Janaka and his family, who will help you with everything. A great beginning for more adventures on this wonderful island!

This bnb is one of the best places we've ever stayed. The personnel were extremely courteous and helped us not only for our stay with them, but also with the rest of our stay in Sri Lanka. We are already looking at staying with them in future vacations. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Air conditioning and fans both available. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and we used the pool. It was nice too. We will recommend this place to all friends looking to travel here.

I enjoy my stay at Bernadine place, she really knows how to take care very well of the guest, serving nice generous breakfast at any time you want, the location is more then perfect, walking distance to good restaurants, shops, beach of course and best bar in town, RODEO good party in there. I highly recommend Bernadine place.

I stayed with Dharini on a short visit to Sri Lanka. Dharini is a gracious host and very accommodating. I found the location excellent. The home is located in a very residential area which made it ideal for my early morning walks and visiting family and friends. The room and washroom was spotless, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. I highly recommend Jak Tree Suite and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the villa a day before my flight to spend some calm days at the sea. The house is beautifully located at the lagoon and only couple of minutes away from the beach. While there are not many other things around and it takes a while to get into the city (as one would expect close to the airport), for the purpose of relaxation before or after the flight it is simply perfect. The breakfast and dinner were prepared directly at the villa and were delicious, the hosts were super friendly and helpful. Would come any time again, thanks a lot!

I really enjoyed my stay with Camie. He has a wonderful house at a serene and beautiful green part of Colombo. The room is air - conditioned with a mini fridge, Coffee maker etc. The breakfast was also very nice with Sri Lankan cusine. Camie is kind, a wonderful host always attentive to your requirements. I wholeheartedly reccomend his house and would be staying with him on my next visit to Sri Lanka.

A comfortable bedroom features a spacious bed adorned with a colorful blanket and an orange accent pillow. Natural light enters through two windows dressed with cheerful checkered curtains, enhancing the inviting ambiance of the room.

Thomas managed to create an oasis in the middle of a busy area. Clean spacious rooms are complemented by cozy living areas to sit and have a chat with friends and family. This is beautiful, calm and sweet residence with very comfortable and spacious guest rooms. The owners are beyond kind and helpful, and the caretaker is such a sweetheart. The area is nice, quiet and very safe. It is close to the major hospitals if you are having any visits there. And with a short Tuk Tuk ride you can get to many attractions and shopping areas. I could not recommend this place more whole-heartedly.

A paved pathway leads through the garden area towards a multi-level building. The structure features large windows that allow natural light, while the well-maintained lawn includes potted plants. An outdoor drying rack is positioned to the side, providing functional outdoor space.

Priya's place is great! He is a great host and his staff is very friendly. It is close to the airport.

Black Cat is the place to stay in Columbo! From the lovely cafe downstairs, incredibly friendly hosts and staff, to the spotless and well appointed rooms. Small touches everywhere that make a stay in more comfortable all added up to a lovely final night before we flew home from Columbo. Highly recommended for a great way to start or end trip to Sri Lanka :)

I loved staying at Lens place! He and his Son were waiting for me when I arrived at the AirPort, it’s only a 15min drive to the homestay. Really Nice breakfast and just a sweet family. Room was big and clean.

Sharmini was a very hospitable host who made my stay a memorable one. She welcomed me with a delicious Sri Lankan lunch when I checked in the early afternoon and was very accommodating to my needs during my stay. Her place is a refurbished old suburban house that is walking distance to a large shopping centre with bus stops and tuktuks nearby. Definitely recommended if you want to experience living like a local, and an absolute bonus if you love cats and dogs who also share this space. Thankyou again Sharmini for making my stay in Colombo one to remember by!!

This place was a real find in the heart of a fishing community. The accommodation was comfortable and used by backpackers. The joy of staying was its authenticity - sitting in the courtyard, relaxing on the beach in hammocks and eating fresh food in their fish restaurant. It was extremely pretty and carefully considered. Breakfast pancakes were pretty good too!!

Great room, with air conditioning and hot water. Large and comfortable bathroom. The room overlooks the garden, where the birds fly and the sounds of the jungle can be heard. The house is very clean. The host is an amazingly kind and sociable person who also loves to travel. Constantly treated me to all sorts of goodies. The house is located in a quiet location in a residential area, while within walking distance you can find parks, cafes, restaurants, shops and laundry’s. Also a 15-minute taxi ride is the bus station and the railway station, from which you can go anywhere in Sri Lanka. The center of Colombo is about 20-30 minutes by scooter.
