I absolutely loved this place! Me and my husband had the best time! We fought so many fish in their lake, cooked in their beautiful kitchen, walked some trails, and so much more. The pictures really don’t do this place justice. Everybody was super friendly as well. 10/10 recommend and I will definitely be back and telling some friends!!!

Such a lovely historic hotel. Beautifully redone with all the amenities we needed. A perfect place to stay for 3 adults visiting local family. We each had our own bedroom for privacy, but with plenty of room to socialize in the main area. I work from home and the WiFi was great. There was a parade in town that we were able to watch from our living area windows, and the brewery down the street boasted a fabulous pretzel and craft beer. We look forward to staying again in the future.

My husband and I went for a quiet weekend getaway, and the place was beyond expectations, even on their off season. The lodge and grounds were lovely, luxurious and comfortable. Everything was easy. We knew in advance that we would need to bring picnic breakfast/lunch or drive 15 minutes into town, so we packed accordingly. Saturday dinner with Chef Chris was a delicious private dining experience, with every detail tended to. I can only imagine what the place is like during hunting season! So glad we found it. We’ll be back.

Nice suite in a classic home in Kearney. Partial kitchen with fridge made it easy to make simple meals and coffee so I didn't have to eat out unless I wanted. The room was comfortable and the house is an older gem. Great vibes and a positive experience. I extended my stay an extra week.

Wilber, NE is a great little town and Steve has created a great place to stay in the area. An old bank building turned into a 6 room hotel. This is the second time we've stayed there. We've stayed in room 5 and room 3. Both great. Great little coffee shop down the street. Ambition Coffee, in The Wilber Hotel (not an operating hotel).

Although the location is in an industrial park and right off the highway, Herbies itself was immaculately clean, responsive to communication, and I loved my stay. It had everything I needed, was quiet, and had parking right outside my unit. Would absolutely recommend staying here again if you want something clean, stylish, cozy, economical, and well-run!

The Herbie was amazing. It was within walking distance of the UNL Football Stadium. It was off the beaten path, so it was quiet. We felt safe, it was close enough to everything but far enough out of the way that it was peaceful. We had a minor hiccup on Saturday with our room lock code, however it was handled quickly and efficiently. We would 10/10 stay here again.

The Herbie was the perfect, weekend place for us as we celebrated our nieces graduation from UofN-Lincoln. We arrived after dark, but it was well lit & easy to enter the property. Our suite was sparkling clean, quiet, & the temperpedic style bed slept very well. It will be fun to stay sometime during the warmer months to enjoy the private outdoor amenities in the courtyard. The location is close to campus & fast food restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful Room in Breathtaking Lodge

It’s absolutely a wonderful place to stay. Very remote and quiet. It is on about 3.5 miles of gravel and come prepared with your own snacks/drinks if you don’t want to drive into town. Overall, my stay was amazing and I’ll definitely be back.

Units as advertised. We were disappointed the pool was closed during our stay (on a sunny 85 degree day), and the A/C in on of the units wasn’t able to get the temp below 72 degrees. Otherwise we were satisfied with our stay!
