Daniel was a great host! Everything we needed was provided and he was very good at providing information before i asked. During check out he asked if there was anything missing that could have made the stay better. 10 out of 10 would work with Daniel again!

We were disappointed that we couldn’t use karaoke since there was no Instructions and even the staff didn't know how to use it. I was concerned about the hardness of the bed, but other than that I was very satisfied. The rock bath was comfortable and had enough space for a large group.

The owner was very kind, and it was very helpful to accommodate this request.It was a very good environment for travelers with dogs.I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.Thank you very much.

Geoff and Aki were incredible hosts and made our stay one we will never forget. The house is beautiful and incredibly peaceful, with everything you need to make a home away from home. The location is perfect with direct access to the Iizuna ski resort, which has a nice little restaurant, and also a short walking distance to a beautiful and quaint onsen - also with a great little restaurant. The house was comfortable for all of us to stay and the fireplace made for such a cozy stay during our visit this winter. We will be back to stay again and can’t wait to tell our friends and family about such a wonderful experience!

A beautiful house and Horiko and team were so amazing! They picked us up from bus stop and dropped us off. They also offered grocery drives. The only thing to be aware of is the stairs are quite steep. If you have a lot of luggage.

The host family was very kind and warm, so I relaxed and relaxed without stress. The building had an atmosphere such as "Grandma's House", and it was a nostalgic space.It is not a new building, but it was clean, well heated, and I had a pleasant time. Can’t imagine doing any better than Gaku’s place. From negotiating on our behalf with our rental car company last minute to having the driveway cleared of snow every morning, it was an absolute pleasure and privilege to stay at his beautiful cabin.

We had a fantastic stay and felt warmly welcomed from the very start. Marcello, his wife, and their son Daniel created such a cheerful and inviting family atmosphere. The location next to the ski slopes was perfect, and we truly appreciated the spacious rooms (a rarity in Japan), the convenient facilities like the ski drying room, and the lovely dining room. Marcello and his family gave us great recommendations and were incredibly helpful in arranging ski lessons and transportation to our next destination. We were fortunate with the weather and had an unforgettable first ski trip in Tsugaike. We hope to return someday!

Philip is an amazing host. Took time out of his days to help get us around to places and to/from the bus station when we arrived and left Hakuba. He also booked us several reservations and even dined with us on our last night at the private hotel pot place he booked. Overall this is a great place to stay and couldn’t find a better host. Thanks again and we’ll be back!

A well-equipped, comfy (if a little tight) serviced apartment. Keep in mind, it’s at the top of the town, which means a relatively long walk up-hill to get to the apartment (and then up steep, narrow steps). But if you can cope with that (incl every time you want to go in for groceries/food/etc.), it’s an awesome place to stay! We stayed mid-April and had free access to the serviced apartments’ onsen (available down the hill). We were also right next to a ski hire shop and the gondola up to the slopes for daily skiing/snowboarding. Reception was always available via message, and were really friendly and helped us out whenever we needed. The town is a little dead in the off-peak season, but it’s still a quaint, lovely place to be/stay and spend some time in the mountains.

Beautiful stay. Yusan and his partner are excellent hosts. Room was comfy. Had the shared onsen to myself every afternoon. 10 minute walk to Kanko gondola. 20 mins walk to Akakura restaurants. It’s a tight walk between walls of snow and road. Can be dodgy. Yusan was very helpful with lifts in the van. To the lifts in the morning and dinner in the evenings. Felt very looked after 😊

Beautiful little homely spot in kusatsu, both nick and his wife were extremely friendly with us even though we spoke little to no Japanese. Gave us recommendations for food and onsens. Would definitely recommend to stay with nick in this cozy spot!

Great place to stay for a 4-5 people ski trip! The place is cozy and well furnished , and the location of the place is not too far from anywhere (the car made the trip much easier), would definitely come back again!
