Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mount Rushmore

Miners Cabin was a very nice place. It had beautiful scenery, it was peaceful and relaxing after a day if sightseeing in the local tourist areas and enjoyed seeing wildlife while staying there. The hot tub was a great for the grandkids and adults as well. Really enjoyed our stay.

It’s a nice little spot to stay and the trolly stops right by the house so easy to get places if you don’t want to walk.

We spent New Year's at Julie’s cabin, and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin was very clean, and Julie, the host, was incredibly responsive to our requests, even when I asked her a late-night question on our first night. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

This is the second weekend we stayed at this house and we love it, the mornings on the deck watching the deer and turkeys is so peaceful. Hot tub at night was very enjoyable, hopefully we will back in the near future

The house was as described and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed. The views were amazing and we saw a few deer wandering around, too. We would definitely recommend - it was perfect for a group of six (3 adult couples), with room to spare!

We took our large family here for our Christmas get together and it was PERFECT!! The layout accommodated our family PERFECTLY and the bar area was GREAT for our adult late night gatherings while the younger children were sleeping! The scenery was beautiful and felt very secluded....although it is only a few minutes from town! Scott was EXTREMELY responsive and helpful! We do these trips every year and this is DEFINITELY a place we would consider staying at again!

Spacious home in quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Host was very responsive. Check in and out process was smooth.

Great Cozy cabin. Kitchen has a nice selection of essentials supplies. May want to bring paper plates/cups if you have kids and don’t want to use glass dishes. Bring your own Hot Tub towels if larger then 5 are staying, if you would like everyone to have their own as they only supply enough for how many it holds. Clubhouse was great addition but the location is down the hill and around the corner, not adjacent/across the street. Be prepared for steep driveway and lots of stairs. Quick drive to town and Terry Peak.

Excellent value and totally as described/pictured! Communication was great and the electronic deadbolt worked easily. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. There were a couple nit-picky things that could have been better: Several dishes in the cabinets were clearly not washed, not a light in the place had a dimmer (we ended up unscrewing a bunch of bulbs to compensate), and the steam room in the clubhouse doesn't work (big bummer for me). But overall we had a great time and would recommend!

We had a great stay, the cabin was everything we expected it to be. It was very beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and very clean.

We had such a great stay! The space was just right for our family of 8, and we appreciated how easy it was to manage our dogs. We would definitely stay here again. Everything on the property was so clean and well maintained. Thanks, Lee Ann, for being so helpful and welcoming to our family!

The cabin was beautiful and worked perfectly for our family of 7. Every family had their own floor and bathroom which was so convenient and gave everyone enough space. Instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear. We loved the cabin decor and fun, local touches.

Great location to explore the Black Hills area. About a mile from Custer, near Custer State Park, convenient to other local attractions. Kitchen was well furnished and easy to cook meals. Sofa was comfortable for watching tv and bed was comfortable. Grill was great to use! Everything was clean and maintained well. Jordan was very responsive when I couldn’t figure out the tv and also when we wanted to extend our stay another night. Plenty of room for a small family. I would not hesitate to rent his place.

Our stay at this lovely Airbnb in Rapid city was simply fantastic! The home is perfectly situated, allowing us easy access to all of our excursions while providing a serene retreat in the woods. It was the best of both worlds-immersed in nature yet just minutes away from the city's amenities. Timmy, our host, was incredibly helpful and provided spot-on suggestions for things to do and see, which enhanced our experience. We truly had an awesome time and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to explore the Badlands, Custer State Park, Mt.Rushmore, Devils Tower, Sturgis and the many other attractions in the area.

Loved the location. we drove from KY and brought our rzr to ride on trails so it was all easy access from the cabin. It didn't have a/c but we adapted pretty easy with advice from the owner. Very peaceful. Owner was very helpful and friendly. I recommend it to anyone who loves the Black Hills like we do! You're smack dab in the middle of those beautiful ponderosa pines. A+

Susanne’s house is amazing. I am a clean freak and this surpassed my standards. The house is super cute and well stocked. The beds are comfortable, and the house is super cozy. I definitely would stay here again and would recommend this house to everyone. Susanne is very sweet, kind, and extremely responsive. The area is safe and you’ll get to see dear walking around the neighborhood. Don’t stay anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and book Susanne’s home. Thank you for being the best host, Susanne.

Just absolutely love this place! As a frequent visitor to the Black Hills we get an Air BNB cabin about 6 or 8 times a year and this was in the top 5% of places we have stayed for sure! Loved the location and the 2 live creeks right on the property that feed into trout ponds! Forgot to bring a fishing pole but we did see some fish jump out of the water so they must be in there! Thanks again to Carmen and especially to co host Julie who was very responsive and accommodating!

Very nice place and fun stuff to do. It was 5 minutes for deadwood so easy to gamble. Buffalo!!

Our host, Erik did an awesome job. We have never stayed in a rental place that was so well stocked! The location was perfect. Even though we were in the city it was like we were in the country with deer and turkeys in the yard every day. We would have preferred to have a washer and dryer but managed without. Erik left great instructions with recommendations for sights to see and places to eat. Would definitely recommend this Airbnb.

Kyndra's Westside Home was perfect. Super clean and comfortable, had absolutely everything we needed (and appreciated the local coffee). We are traveling across country with our 2 pups and having a fenced back yard was a great plus for us. Close to groceries and restaurants. Highly recommend, this house is a 10/10.
