Tranquil Mountain Getaway | Breathtaking Scenery

AurelRating, 5 stars2 days ago
The space is located in one of the most picturesque spots in the town next to a bridge that connects to a park full of azaleas. Anju was incredibly responsive and helpful, and provided us not only with vegetarian bento for dinner when all other other options in town were closed, but also with Bento to go for lunch the next day so that we could hike the nakasendo trail without worry. Absolutely recommend the space, especially for larger groups, as it would easily fit 6-8 people.

Shinyama Furusato Taikenkan, a private rental with a traditional Japanese sunken fireplace

AsukaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
There are many kitchenware and tableware, and there is a very traditional Japanese fireplace suitable for winter and gatherings with friends or family.Although it was winter, it was very warm. The owner prepared electric blankets. And the price is also much cheaper than the surrounding area.

[Entire house for rent, maximum 8 people, 105 m2] Aeon Mall, Matsumoto City Museum, Agata-no-Mori Park are all within walking distance. Comfortable location

We had a great time with my family. The house is huge and the beds are comfortable. Although they are on the floor Japanese style, it has decent mattresses. The house has a great authentic Japanese vibe and garden. It’s not right in the middle of town but it is a nice 15/20 minute walk to the castle, and less to the art Museum etc. Masaya was a great host. Pro active, responded quickly and helpful.

Spacious Log House with BBQ & Hot Springs | Up to 8 people | Free parking available | Food Culture, Bamboo Crafts, and Natural Fire Experience Classes

Naoko is a very warm and friendly host that made us feel welcome even before we checked in. She was very responsive to our queries and ensured that we were taken care of. The house is beautiful and in a quiet neighbourhood. The carpark is conveniently located at the rear of the house, and has sufficient space for a MPV. The house itself is spacious and clean, suitable for families. Stairs are a little steep for young children, but we appreciate the child safety gate that was installed to ensure the safety of children. The futons and sheets were clean and very comfortable, and my family was well-rested. The kitchen was well-equipped. We also love that hot spring water could be piped directly into the bathtub and we could enjoy our own private onsen in the house. All in, we love the place and will definitely stay again if we are back in Matsumoto.

lovely property, really stylish. The staircase was a little steep/ difficult for the more elderly in our group, but it was a lovely homely place. Fire was great!

You can watch the rice field and have a view of the mountains covered with snow at the desk. It’s scenic and peaceful at the same time when you have breakfast. Yoko-san and her husband are great hosts and the highlight of the whole experience was definitely the home-made breakfast prepared by them.
