This is a peaceful and centrally-located place, in a safe neighborhood. It’s about 5 minutes away from everything in Bangor, and a little over an hour away from the Bar Harbor area, depending on traffic. The entire house is available to you, including the yard, fire pit and pool out back. The pool is unheated.

Our cozy guest cottage has easy beachfront/kayak/canoe access, and is located very close (within walking distance at low tide) to the public boat launch for larger boats. Great location to explore Deer Isle, Acadia (approx 1hr), Castine (45m), and the Bangor (1hr) area. Brave children and adults even swim from the beach but comfortable swimming ponds/lakes are 10m in several directions. The hot-tub is open year-round! It was a true pleasure to spend a few days at Old Souls Farm Garden with David as my host. He was very communicative and greeted me warmly on my arrival. I was treated to the grand tour and fell in love with the town and location. The room had everything I needed for my short stay, and the bathroom was clean and very convenient. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, thank you.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The views were lovely, the lake was refreshing, the beds were comfortable, lots of kitchen stuff, and the showers were hot. The house mostly has what you need. It could use a few more dish towels and bath towels. The long drive to Acadia got tiresome.

We had an absolutely wonderful week at Pam’s cozy cottage. The house is charming and as other reviewers have commented- extremely clean. We loved the location which is right on the outskirts of town. It’s close to a grocery store, Echo Lake, great hikes like Flying Mountain and Beach Cliffs- and of course minutes to downtown. Things that stood out were the big, sunny windows the family room, very comfortable beds and the overall cheerful vibe of the house. I also appreciated that both the bathrooms were in great shape. (We have often found that in rentals on the island only one bathroom has been updated.) My kids are older- but I was thinking this would be a good home for young kids because it is all in one level and clutter free. There were also many fun kids books as well as games. At nights we loved sitting on the cozy couch and watching movies. We were able to sign into all of our streaming accounts. The kitchen was well stocked. Pam and the bagels were fantastic! Highly recommend.

We had a magical stay, better than we had imagined. The house and surroundings are beautiful, private, and peaceful. We climbed trees, soaked, showered outdoors to cricket song, and walked barefoot in the well tended garden and forest paths. What an absolute healing sanctuary and delight! Thank you so much!

Perfect studio. Used the jetted tub, nice and relaxing. Lots of extras (new toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, etc.) much appreciated and used. The view, esp at sunrise, was stunning. Quiet neighbors. The beach store (pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee and more) was very good. Just down stairs and one building over. (get there early for their muffins) I would certainly stay here again.
