Places to stay in Mount Ayr

We had a wonderful time staying in a beautiful apartment like section of their home. Was close to all the things we wanted to do. It was a wonderful environment to celebrate our 45 th wedding anniversary. The lovely kitchen allow my hubby cook to make a great dinner. The layout made it feel like a warm comfortable place. We would return if go that way again! Easy communication with our hosts.

Great place to stay. The home was larger than what the pictures show. It was clean and well maintained inside and out! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We would love to stay here again.

It was everything that I could have asked for. The town is great and everything is walkable. Everyone that I met was amazingly friendly. The apartment was very clean and new. The closets were huge. The only downside that I ran into is lack of a dresser. There is a space for that type of clothing, but it is limited. The view is one of a kind and I can't think of anything that they didn't think of from coffee, to filters and all kitchen amenities that you could ever ask for.

Really enjoyed staying downtown on the old town square. Loved the view of the old courtyard. Stayed in Chariton two nights and took advantage of walking to the two restaurants on the square. Both good meals. Loved the feel of the loft. Loved the openness and space. Beautifully decorated. Watched a movie on the big TV and kept watch of the time on the courthouse clock tower - fun.

Although our stay was short the accommodations were excellent. Newly renovated place with everything you need. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was spacious. Will definitely come back.

This was a great place! If I could I would come back and stay more than one night. The only things I would mention are that the switch in the kitchen that you think is a light switch is the garbage disposal, so watch out haha, and if you are staying a Saturday night be aware that none of the restaurants in town will be open for breakfast Sunday morning (but that's not Verlin and Shannon's fault). The place is clean, welcoming and peaceful. There were helpful instructions everywhere, and little gifts and amenities throughout. We had no trouble staying warm, plenty of blankets. The coffee is a Keurig. The layout is great, with one of the bathrooms being in a bedroom and the other available to the whole house. All in all it was perfect for us passing through headed north, but if you have reason to be in the area for longer avail yourself of this great place to stay.

We loved staying at the cabin. As teachers, we just needed a couple of days of quiet, no distractions, no paperwork and just plain peacefulness. It was a beautiful area, the lake and just all around wonderful.

The place was fun inviting clean and had plenty of space for the entire family! Highly Recommend if coming to Creston.

I stayed here while visiting my son, who attends Northwest Missouri State. I was there for his fraternity's Mom's Day weekend. This place was everything promised in the listing. It is quaint and comfortable (love that the sofa's and bed's are comfortable - we have stayed at so many that are NOT). The adjustable bed is nice. There was a little ruckus from the group in the upper apartments when they came in, but it was not bad and did not last long. The area of town is nice and it was close to the Northwest campus - which was nice. I have a few "items" to suggest that they include, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again!
