Only issue we had, guys are avid fisherman, due to low tides and timing of such, we could not dock our boat at the house. Thankfully boat launch was 2 minutes down the road so it didn’t interfere with them fishing😊. Besides that perfect vacation, beautiful water, scenery, islands to tour and very relaxing time in the evenings😊

Our stay at Carolyn’s Lighthouse was exceptional from start to finish! The accommodations were top-notch, blending comfort and style seamlessly. The highlight was definitely the hot tub and outdoor movie theater—both were perfect for relaxing evenings after a day of exploration. We especially appreciated the host's, Richard’s, friendliness and attentiveness, making us feel right at home. We always come back to Shipley Landing when we need the respite from the crazy world outside. From the hug of the beautiful old oaks to the million dollar views of the tidal creek at all different times of the day make it the wonderful place that it is. Expansive deck and plenty of seating outside or a wall to wall glassed in sunroom — that’s the only decision to make. Just breathe deeply and let it all go!

We have now stayed here two years in a row. We have an annual fishing trip that this place works perfectly. It is everything that is distributed and then some. What a beautiful place to watch a sunrise and sunset. Johnna is always very responsive and super helpful. What a great host. We will be back to get some more relaxation in.

This house is beautiful!! I stayed by myself for my birthday trip and it was 100% worth it. Amazing views, and honestly after staying here I would consider moving to morehead! I love the area, everything is so close, and the beach is right there!! I went to the aquarium and a couple of stores around there. Also went to the oyster bar for oysters of course, my favorite!! All around good trip, I will say the road to get to the house is FULL of potholes, I thought I was in the wrong place at first. Just keep following the road and it’s right there, just beware of the invisible speed bumps haha. Also the shower in the hallway the door doesn’t stay shut so just a heads up, it kept bothering me so I just used the other shower.. but Thankyou so much for letting me stay, you will proably be seeing me again this year!!

Jessie’s place was absolutely amazing. Extremely clean and very well appointed. We loved the pool and it was a very short walk to the beach. The location is very close to restaurants and public beach’s as well. The only issue was that our vacation was cut short by tropical storm Debbie. Can’t wait to rent with Jessie again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The neighborhood is lovely and right on the water which made for nice sunrise views with coffee on the porch. It’s in a convenient yet tucked away location. Our kids loved the huge “meadow” aka yard and enjoyed biking + riding scooters on the minimally trafficked street. You can’t go wrong with booking this place!
