Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Montrose

My husband and five others stayed at this home. According to them the view was a million-dollar view with game right outside the window!! The place was so clean and plenty of room. Eric the host was more than you could ask for with his help and advice. My only regret for them is that they were caught in the horrific snowstorm and were a day late. But a fantastic place and next year he is taking me!!!!

The views from the home are amazing. We enjoyed just cozying up in the living room and enjoying the views. The home is well appointed, comfortable and very clean. If you visit, be sure to take in Crawford State Park (coming from the house, go left onto Black Canyon Rd). There is a great and easy 5 mile walk you can do, starting at the Indian Fire Nature Trail. The North Fork Boardwalk was a cute stop for lunch too!

Norm was very welcoming and always available to meet any needs we had. He was very personable and has a lot of knowledge of the area. Super host! We loved our stay and would come again. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing There is a wonderful large yard with an outside grill and seating. I would highly recommend this home away from home !

My colleagues and I stayed at Emily’s place in Montrose, Colorado for a conference, and we had a wonderful experience. The house was quiet, well-stocked, and conveniently located close to everything we needed. Emily was an amazing host—responsive, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with. I’d definitely rent this place again when visiting the Western Slope, especially with my family!

This was truly one of my favorite Airbnb stays of all time. Incredible home. Looked even better in-person than the photos. The property had everything one would need for a peaceful retreat from everyday life. If you're looking for some me-time, a chance to reflect & listen to the birds, appreciate the simple things... this is it. Thank you.

Excellent home for a multi day stay with family. Plenty of space, with all the kitchen supplies/appliances we needed. It’s well stocked, well decorated, and spacious but it’s also an old home. I have a young daughter who was very spooked out by the noises of the radiator and the random little vacuum portals—nothing against the home just an fyi!

Comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful. In addition to having everything we needed as on the listing there were lots of thoughtful little touches too like a nightlight in the bathroom, lots of towel racks, Kleenex, and bedside water glass. Hummingbirds outside our door in the flowers every day, watching chickens do their thing, and visits from sweet kitty Shadow made it extra special.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Fort Austin. This was a perfect getaway for both of us and our dog. Tim was very friendly and he even made a fire for all his guests the last night that we were staying there. I can't wait to go back to Fort Austin and relax with the serene views and mountain alpenglow. This is an absolute gem and a perfect place to escape for the week or weekend. Thanks Tim!

This place was serene and absolutely beautiful. It was a cabin feel and so peaceful with the creek running right through the property. We came up for our anniversary and Debra made sure we had a treat in our accomodations for us. That really made us feel so special 💜💜💜

We enjoyed a wonderful stay. Oakley's oasis was very cozy with a beautiful jacuzzi tub and comfortable bed. The lodge area and amenities were great. Paonia is a wonderful place to visit and we will absolutely return to this place.
