Cottage vacation rentals in Monte Rio

House matches pictures exactly - well worth it for a nice getaway. The road is typical for the area - it is narrow towards the last bit but it is fine. People were driving large SUVs up the hill with no issue. It was nice that this Airbnb is dog friendly and doesn’t have crazy outlandish rules like others in the area. The only feedback I have is I don’t like when Airbnbs have extensive checkout rules. I always find it odd to pay a cleaning fee but also be required to do a lot of pre cleaning in advance like loading the dishwasher and stripping the beds. Other than that, no complaints. Would definitely come back again as it’s convenient for the area and close enough but still feels quiet and secluded.

This was a perfect spot for a personal retreat. I loved everything from the decor to the comfy bed to the private hot tub and well tended garden. I would love to come back again.

We decided last minute to stay an extra night at the Russian River but had to be out of our other Airbnb. Marc and Brett were super responsive and made it possible for us to check into their place in the same day. The home is absolutely stunning, we were so sad to be there only one day. We bbq’d dinner and enjoyed the back yard and loved the porch! Will definitely need to do a longer stay!

This home is absolutely beautiful! The outside is gorgeous and relaxing. The outdoor patio and hot tub are amazing! The location is also fabulous. We went to the Bothe-Napa state park and the Castello di Amorosa both of which were only 15min away as is downtown Calistoga which is really cute. We really enjoyed our stay!! The only slightly problematic feature is the toilet, it doesn’t really work.

About as good as an Airbnb gets, in my opinion. Just a lovely stay from start to finish. The cottage is cozy and situated in a very peaceful, beautiful setting, surrounded by towering redwoods, a little creek runs right alongside the property, and the hillside is lush with ferns. The cottage has amazing views from every window, but thick, easy to close curtains for privacy and sleeping late. The king size bed was perfectly firm and clean with nice cotton sheets and comforter. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything you could need, and it was easy to pair my phone to the Sonos speaker system for music. The hot tub is enormous, and just perfectly situated, so it felt very private and safe. All in all, everything about the place gets and A+! We didn’t interact with Tom beyond a few words at check-in, but he was warm and welcoming. We had zero problems, but when I messaged him to let him know we were checking out, he responded almost immediately. I hope we can stay here again!

If you're planning an escape in the Duncan Mills area, this is the place you want to be. It is conveniently located as a great jumping off point for all the local area has to offer or provides the perfect place for relaxation and reflection if that's what you need. Karen is a super host and very responsive should anything arise. The amenities at the River cottage cannot be understated. From the stocked kitchen to outdoor decks and gardens complete with hot tub and outdoor soaking tub there is something for everyone. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to another visit in the future. Consider a stay at Mama K's River Cottage, you'll be glad you did.

Tami’s place was perfect for two people. We didn’t get to use the patio much due to cooler weather but we didn’t get to sit out some. Hot tub was great! We would definitely stay here again.

Quaint cottage in Calistoga with coffee and restaurants within walking distance. Easy checkin and communication with the host. The room was clean and had a fire place and spa sized bath tub. We would definitely consider booking here again on our next trip to Calistoga.

Wonderful place for our group to stay! The house was exactly as described, and everybody had plenty of space to themselves. The house was very clean and is located in a great spot in town.

Had a wonderful stay at the vineyard & farm. It was incredibly peaceful. The home was very comfortable and inviting. Our 3 year old called it ‘light & bright’! 😂

Enjoyed our stay here. Felt safe with the gated entrance. Location's great about a 12 minute drive to Healdsburg. Great space layout and enjoyed the fireplace in the living room.

This little cabin in the woods is exactly as presented. Unbeatable setting for nature lovers and those looking for a retreat from urban/suburban areas, yet still only 30 min from wine country and nearby towns. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to any who love how it presents in photos.

The house feels like a cabin in the woods--it is quiet with a view of the river and thousands of stars above. We loved the wood-burning stove, the hot tub, and the cozy wood living room. It was close to downtown Healdsburg but felt like a mountain getaway.

Sundog cottage is lovely! We were so happy to find that it was even more beautiful in person than the pictures. Super clean, great kitchen, deck and backyard were perfect for our dogs and just relaxing and listening to the ocean. The linens are amazing and the beds comfy! Valerie went above and beyond as a host, even left us local eggs, butter and crackers. She was friendly and easy to communicate with. Sundog is a gem and we can’t wait to come back!

The house was very comfortable and perfect for a family get away! I loved the proximity to the beach. She allows a dog which is great.

Creekside Cottage is a thoughtful and well furnished home. It also has a great yard for relaxing, play space for our dogs and small granddaughter. Perfect and loved the location in the redwoods yet with sun and running water. The drive to town was gorgeous! Thank you Jane and Hank

The location was conveniently located between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol making trips to either city easy. Jacuzzi was a great way to relax after the long drive!

I've stayed at Christina's place before and it's my first choice when visiting family in Guerneville. Christina is extremely responsive and flexible and the place is very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with anything you could ever need. The beds are cozy with extra blankets if needed. I especially enjoy the patio outside of the back door.

Nice and secluded space for a relaxing getaway.

We had a wonderful stay. The hot tub was private and they turned it on without us asking. They also had the heat turned on in the unit before we arrived. Nice place. Not fully updated but cute. Beautiful property and surroundings with the grapevines. Very peaceful. They allowed us to charge our EV which was great. 10AM checkout is a bit early. No checkout time should be before 11AM. The owners house is right next door but it didn’t feel like they were in your face and we never saw them really. Management company always responded but to be fair it’s less direct than talking to the owner who knows all the answers.

We had a great stay at the Waterfall house. The location can't be beaten; it's secluded, the views are great and it is within walking distance from all of the Jenner hot spots :) Baked goods and drinks from Cafe Aquatica were the perfect way to start our mornings. We also had a great time kayaking on the river with the seals! The kitchen was stocked well enough for all of our needs as a group of 5, and the porch and deck spaces were great for hanging out. The sofa bed wasn't super comfortable but it was good enough for our needs. The other beds were all very comfortable and we slept well! The hosts at the Jenner Inn were super responsive and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again!

This is the second time I’ve come. The first time I came by myself and it was so wonderful, I brought my husband to share with him. You really just can’t beat the view and quiet from the deck and hot tub. The burger from the bar in Duncan mills is great and walking on goat beach across the river is great. Bed is comfortable and she provides good toiletries and touches around the house. Only thing to plan for is the kitchen is a bit basic. No microwave and older, difficult to use stove. But good kettle and full size fridge.
