Cottage vacation rentals in Moira Lake

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night break at Carol Ann’s cottage. From my initial enquiry to questions during our stay, Carol Ann was extremely responsive and super helpful. She popped by to check in and brought us a bin bag when we didn’t have one, we enjoyed chatting with her. The cottage is lovely, excellent amenities and extremely comfortable with lovely views of the lake. We made use of the paddle boat, kayak and SUP. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught small sunfish and bass. Madoc town is just 5 minutes away. It was an ideal spot for us to enjoy some family time, we would definitely stay again! An incredible gem tucked away in the private woods. We enjoyed a hot tub soak overlooking a fantastic sunset on the frozen lake. Loved our time here and will return!

This cabin was great for a winter camping weekend. It was modern, clean, and very well equipped. It had everything a guest could want. The kitchen, bbq, blackstone and Traeger give you every possible cooking option. Multiple backup propane tanks onsite in case you run out. The wood stove made for a very comfortable stay, with lots of wood available and a splitter for kindling. Nothing negative at all about this place. It was great and we enjoyed it very much.

Amazing accommodations, place was better than advertised. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of Lake Contau was very refreshing. Had all the amenities that were advertised, would recommend to anyone.

Ben was an excellent host and the cottage was beautiful with lots to do. Ben was very communicative with me throughout the weekend and we had no issues. I highly recommend this cottage!

We enjoyed our new year stay in RAP cottage, it was clean and spacious. Kids were happy in the games room. Host was responsive and helpful. Only one comment is about the wifi internet could be improved. We surely plan to visit again summertime. Thanks.

Beautiful cottage and great location! Wonderful view of the water from all the main areas. Cottage was a bit chilly, but quickly warmed up with fireplace and heaters going. Good amenities in the area, but the wooded lot provides a beautiful private feel. Extremely well stocked kitchen! I would strongly recommend staying here.

Had a great stay here. Very Private and peaceful and the Hot tub with lake views was a fantastic touch. The place is nicely decorated and comfortable and Jess is a great responsive host. Would definitely stay here again.

Greg’s place is a perfect cottage: homey enough to feel comfortable yet special enough to feel like a treat. The view out the huge window is a lovely mix of sloped pathway/stairs, trees, lake, island in lake and more lake in the distance. The main room has the most comfortable couch and the 500 movies include something for everyone. We especially loved the wood-fired sauna down by the lake. I hope to stay here again!

The cottage has a spectacular view of the lake. It is very spacious and up to date. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils, dinnerware, pots/pans, an air fryer and rice cooker. The dock area is in great condition, so it is a terrific place to relax in the sun, swim and fish. The stairs from the cottage to the dock has many steps, so my 84 year-old mother-in-law with bad osteoarthritis of the knees could not get down to the lake to go tubing. She was very happy to stay in the cottage and enjoy the view. The is only a short drive to Buckhorn with a Foodland and a Home Hardware to pick the items that you packed but left at home. Alex and Sophie were quick to answer any questions. Overall a really enjoyable couple of weeks.

We had a very pleasant stay at Kevin’s cottage. He is very responsive to my questions. We stayed in winter months and the place was cozy. The kitchen is well stocked We had nice walk on the frozen lake. petroglyph is closed for winter months but Kawartha Nordic is a great place to visit in winter .

We had a great time at Cortney's cottage. We came to see the foliage and it was stunning. The decor of the cottage is warm and welcoming as well as the facilities. Very recommended

We are three couples (and two dogs) who rented the place for two nights for a winter getaway. The house was fantastic for our group. The hot tub and sauna provided some fun activities on site. The open concept bar/kitchen and dining and living areas were perfect for this kind of get together. The view was beautiful -- this lake house is in fact right on the lake. The location was fantastic -- a scenic 15 min drive to Wellington for adventures and dining out. Heather was communicative and great to deal with. We didn't have any snow, but the driveway was quite steep and I would suggest you consider 4WD and winter tires if you're planning on coming when it's snowy/icy. For beds, there's a king and a queen, and then the other rooms/bunkie have futons or bunk bed set ups... it worked well for our group, but just FYI.

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it! The only small downside was the 10 AM check-out time, which felt a bit tight. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we hope to visit again soon!

Great location and views. Able to swim off the dock and had access to kayaks and paddle boards. Very dog friendly. All pictures and descriptions were as described. We had a great time!

Davids place was beautiful and made for an enjoyable stay for our group visit. He was responsive and provided all additional details both in our chats as well as leaving a small booklet in the cottage itself highlighting places of interest nearby. The firepit and the gazebo are the most impressive parts of the property. Wifi coverage inside the cottage was fantastic and was very useful for any further research since the cellular network coverage is spotty at best. Bon Echo is just about a 20 minute drive away and there are more places within a 1 hour radius though we chose to mostly have a leisurely time on the property itself. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, private fun time in the middle of nature.

Our stay was great! No issues whatsoever, host was accommodating and friendly, house had everything we needed, we stayed for work, so didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit with wood provided which I thought was very nice of the hosts! Water was not potable but the hosts leave you lots of drinking water, and water to make coffee!!

We spent New Year’s at Leah’s place, and it was absolutely amazing. Her guest house is so cozy, and she’s an incredible hostess. Not to mention, her place is dog-friendly, which made it even better! It was such a memorable way to ring in the new year.

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

We had a lovely winter getaway at Julie & Roger's. The home is very homey with a nice kitchen, wood fireplace and comfortable living area. The bathroom and bedrooms were clean. The hosts are very responsive, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

The house is spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking meals a joy, and we spent the mornings and evenings enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
