Dennis and Julie’s place was just what we needed! Everything was as described, super clean, bathroom was clean, everything was awesome. We were greeted with a bottle of wine on the counter as a welcome gift - great touch! We loved how close we were to the dog beach. Neighbor’s were super friendly too! Overall, we loved our experience and will definitely be back to rent again from Dennis and Julie.

I was willing to pay extra for the location, and boy, did that pay off! I wound up proposing to my fiancée at the top of the street, where a private, secluded cliffside bluff exists. You have to tiptoe down a pathway, but thank goodness we'd walked home from Newport Ave the night before where I located the quintessential proposal spot! Otherwise, the Airbnb worked out terrifically. The neighborhood is delightful; you're so close to all the action in downtown Ocean Beach. 15-minute walk places you right near the bars, restaurants, and shops. Traffic getting in and out of the neighborhood was a breeze. No issues getting rideshares, either. We loved the little compound the owners have set up. There's a grill for each house plus a shared hot tub that we took advantage of using. The apartment itself is a bit outdated, and the price point might be on the higher end. But you're paying for the scenery, proximity to action, and private space.

This was a great place, just as described, lots of charm and a perfect amount of space. What stood out most was how responsive and helpful Chris was. He immediately answered messages and was more than willing to be helpful and offer solutions. Everything was great and my family really appreciated his help. The property feels like someone actually lived there at one point - real art, books on the shelves, useful kitchen tools. Would stay again and thought it was a great spot!

Mel was wonderful! She was very responsive even at night when we had issues with the Internet. She was very kind and helpful in all aspects. Her home was beautiful and I will book her again if her home is free the next time I'm there.

This spot was perfect walking distance to the beach and many amenities. The place itself was spotless and the water pressure in the shower amazing! I enjoyed getting to know the neighbors and would definitely stay here again. Edwin was also super responsive to any questions I had , I appreciated having a place to leave my luggage before check in and being able to use the laundry room.

Absolute perfection! Brian and Carla's haven is a masterclass in thoughtful design, blending vintage charm with modern comforts. Every detail, from the eclectic art and music collection to the lush gardens, reveals the owners' impeccable taste. The 1970s building has been beautifully restored, retaining its retro character while offering a clean, well-maintained, and well-appointed space. The kitchen is ideal for cooking up a storm, and the abundance of games, books, and entertainment options ensures there's never a dull moment. What truly sets this Airbnb apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality. Brian and Carla are gracious hosts who are easily reachable and genuinely invested in their guests' experience. Warning: staying here may spoil you for all future Airbnb experiences! We can't recommend this gem highly enough. Book it, and get ready for a truly unforgettable stay!

My friends and I had a great long weekend here. The pool and hot tub were great, and there was plenty of indoor/outdoor space to lounge around. Everything was clean and in working order, and check-in/out was simple as well. The location was also very central for both driving to various San Diego destinations, and for walking over to restaurants and bars. We would definitely consider staying here again!

We had a great stay! Ann was quick to reply, the instructions were clear, and the place was great. Clean, plenty of space, and close to coffee and restaurants. Definitely recommend!

We were very grateful to be able to stay for a few days in San Diego. This home was very clean and very cool. My daughter thought it was the fanciest place we had ever stayed :) we loved the heated pool, walking around the neighborhood, and there are many great restaurants and cafes close by. We went with two small kids and while it has more of a fun bachelor pad vibe we had an incredibly fun and relaxing stay.

Carli's home was adorable, location was awesome for our event at SnapDragon Stadium. The entire home was clean, linens were great, the kitchen was stocked with EVERYTHING you could imagine, the beds were wonderfully comfortable, spacious rooms, the outside area was awesome, while we didn't use the pool, but we did use the hot tub and the pool table which were great! The proximity to everything you would need is wonderful as far as Fashion Valley, restaurants, grocery, etc. I would recommend anybody staying in the area to stay at Carli's home. If I find myself in the area again, I'll definitely stay here!

We had 7 adults and a 2-year old that stayed in the house and then we also had a 32 foot RV that Bruce let us park behind the garage and fence so it was in the back yard. It was the BEST set up for us!!! My husband and I travel in our RV about 9 months a year so we stayed in our RV with electric and water connection. All our kids flew to San Diego for Christmas and stayed in the house. It worked out so good! We had fires in the fire pit multiple nights and the hot tub was amazing. The back yard was so beautiful. My 2-year old granddaughter loved the sand and all the sand toys too! Can’t say enough good things about Bruce’s hospitality!

Love our stay atTiggs home. Was amazing dogs got to swim. We walked to the beach rode by to pickle ball all around great trip.

Rich and Adrienne's place was the perfect beach getaway. It was quiet, comfortable, and well-organized. They've used the space efficiently. The home was very clean and inviting. The kitchen was thoughtfully well stocked. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed the outdoor space and the short walk to the beach. We appreciated the beach gear including a cooler, chairs, boogie boards, and toys. The hosts provided local recommendations on arrival and were quick to respond when asked about specific things like bike rentals, providing great, local recommendations. It was an easy walk to the two main areas of OB with restaurants and shopping. We would absolutely stay here again with our party of two adults and one teenager. This is a real gem in OB.

We loved the place, very clean and looks just like the pictures, perfect location, very close to everything we wanted to visit. Nice backyard and the place was stocked with everything you can think of. I would definitely try to book this place again when visiting San Diego in the future!

The place is so safe and cute. We felt right at home. We travel with a 4-month old infant for the first time, and Lisa’s place is perfect for our baby. Lisa even offered a Graco Pack-n-Play which was a perfect bassinet for her. The place was situated in a convenient neighborhood close to Grossmont Center shopping mall and grocery stores and restaurants. We’d stay here again when we are in the area.

The team at CVH were very accommodating to us -- we evacuated LA because of the fires and had our animals with us. They made it easy and welcoming. We will forever be grateful for their warm embrace during a very difficult event. Thank you!

Loved this 2-story, comfortable unit in an historic home. Olga is very helpful. The garden is an oasis—full of hummingbirds! One note: the second bedroom is semi private. Very welcoming, including fruit and cookie basket on arrival.

Clean Space and Quiet area very cute place.

Stayed here with my sister for 5 days as a little getaway with our maltipoo and it was a lovely time! The hosts were incredibly responsive and hospitable from the beginning. They checked in on what we might need and provided us extra cooking items as needed. The shared backyard space was lovely and the hot tub was such a bonus! Also appreciated the location of La Mesa for exploring San Diego. It offered a quieter homebase with only a 20-minute drive to central SD.

The most adorable, home-style feel i could ever ask for. Loved that I had privacy and a backyard for my dog to roam freely. The area is lovely, and right in the middle of downtown Hillcrest. I enjoyed every day there and will continue booking for future trips. Kitty is such an amazing, wonderful, kind and caring person. Truly an amazing host.
